Very super
You could say I’m working in a manly fashion
I can never leave after i get there. Thats as pretty "Get To Work" as one can get
I'm very Get To Work on time myself.
Now Manly, how Get To Work on time are you?
Oh also where do you search to find these games?
Clockhart can keep everyone in an infinite time loop but can't go back to stop the intern from spilling water on the equipment
Ironic that he can save others from past problems, but not himself
Maybe the "save file" or the 'checkpoints" were corrupted because of the water damage and he can't go back at a certain time period anymore.

This is literally a recurring nightmare I have where I'm at work and can't find my way out of the building and back home
At least it doesn't have giant shadow coworkers
ur in the backrooms 👍
.. *yet.*
I used to have this nightmare when I worked in retail. Over and over again. It was horrible.
I would often think about what would happen if the Wendy's I was once working at suddenly got sent into a void during the night shift with no escape, despite still getting customers at the drive thru. It'd be like something straight out of a Twilight Zone episode...
I have a recurring theme in my dreams as well.
I'm back in school, but I'm not only in class, but i'm also an intern teacher and a teacher, but have a schedule of swapping classes and teaching them as well as going to them.
I routinely forget my schedule and miss classes, sometimes entire weeks of class, only to show up on the week before finals.
This would be a decent 'Groundhog Day' spin off movie series, but more suspense themed, where I'm in the time loop but even I don't realize it right away, but hints clue me in slowly unlike Phill who knew right away he's reliving his same days.
The amount of clock/time jokes in this video is killing my braincells
Not to mention the Garfield references

Aw, the discovery of Simone's death was so sad for me, I hoped in some kind of happy ending for both her and the grumpy coworker... when a game 20 minutes long leaves you with that kind of feeling, you know it's a good game!
i liked clockhart, but then he had to go try to kill the employees. :c
Man he was on time with the puns
They were rather minute tho, pretty short-handed.
Ikr they were minute by minute!
Shut up.
I would love to see a longer version of this with multiple weeks, where when you finish all the tasks or triggers in one it moves forward to the next and the idea is to save as many of the 87 employees as possible or something.
Like part of the premise is you also want to get promoted, so you get access to new floors and "perks", and there could be a dual pathway where you either get in league with the boss/s or you have to secretly undercut them very carefully in order to get the best ending until you leave.
“A Horror Game about going to work”
Me: “so where does the ‘game’ come in?”
Me: “That’s the best part, it doesn’t”
0:21 They say that, and yet in others horror games, I’m supposed to be able to interact with things when I can barely see myself.
I think the player is just trapped in a never ending nightmare of their last day from what I can see.
Going via the clues (spoilers ahead)
Time line,
An intern starts work on Monday, gets to know t he employees at least a little. Meanwhile Simone is working hard to keep things happy and productive. Other guy is casually getting tired of working here, probably looking for somewhere else, not yet ready to leave.
Tuesday, It's blistering hot today. Intern keeps on with work, chats with his colleagues, makes sure to stay hydrated with the watercooler.
Wednesday, a normal day at the office, Simone chooses to work late, there's a big thunderstorm which encourages all the workers to go home, except Simone. She stays a little longer, does some overtime and stays to look at the storm some since she has always loved storms.
Thursday, pot luck day. Everyone has brought in food. Simone has brough in the most food. Other employee has now found a new job, and is ready to hand in his notice.
Friday. The fateful day. Intern has now worked a full week. Gotten to know his fellow employees and his employer. Has been enjoying time at the office but is feeling fatigued and tired. Decides he will go downstairs and grab a quick drink. He takes the elevator. He grabs a drink and checks over some of the systems. Unfortunately, he spills the water. It spills all over the machine and a huge explosion happens. Our nameless guy has his notice all ready to hand in, sadly he happened to be in the vicinity of the explosion. He doesn't survive.
Simone was upstairs working, however with no power, the elevator breaks down. She is trapped up there with no way of getting out. Since intern and nameless guy are both already dead, no one is there to let anyone know there was one more co-worker trapped. Eventually with no water and no food and no way of escape, she sits down exhausted and gives into her fate.
The elevator is probably broken in game because you as the player are not yet ready to face the consequences of your actions. If you go downstairs to where you caused the accident... you'll be reminded. But this can't be your fault. You just aren't ready for that yet. Instead you spend your time reliving that first week.
Your boss takes on the form of a clock creature because your subconscious is reminding you that time is short.
The week is just 5 days because that's all it took. There is no Saturday or Sunday. you didn't live that long.
Simone is friendly, but she's there to be the information giver. She plays the role of your conscience just niggling at you that something isn't quite right. The other guy is a bit of a jerk now, but to be fair.. you killed him just as he was ready to leave, when you know the facts you can't really blame him. He's also there to get you to think of getting water.
Your boss is just a regular boss for now, a bit creepy but this is your subconscious, perhaps part of you blames him for not warning you of what could potentially happen. For not helping Simone. Even though he too was probably stuck upstairs. Note the door to the exit is locked when you're first there. This was never actually an exit. One doesn't go up to get out usually. Also the fact that when he leaves after turning the light on he doesn't go through the door which conveniently also says exit. He just keeps walking down the hallway.
The electrician is your mind telling you both not to go down there until you are ready, and to help you travel down once you are. You absolutely can ignore that box and keep going on with your never ending week which never changes. Sooner or later though, your mind will not allow it. You have to give him the soldering iron. you have to fix that elevator. You have to discover the body with the 2 weeks notice letter.
Upon finding the truth and killing your boss, you travel back upstairs, you see the result and the further consequences of your actions. You leave via the exit doors.. but fittingly, that's where it ends. You actually have to physically close the programme to even exit. You're no more alive than your co-workers who you killed.
Interestingly, to help back this up further. Upon leaving, if you dont' go out the "exit" door in the office, but instead go back into the office, you show up at the elevator doors rather than the bosses office door again
Wow, I love this! I was thinking sort of on the same track as soon as I realized that the end "solution" was to cause an explosion with the equipment with water, because I immediately thought that that was too perfectly aligned with what the boss was saying had happened. You put it into words better than I could, though. In my opinion, this is how I will view the game as canon, since it lines up and makes great sense.
hwo the fuck he died in the basement ( the emplyee jerk) and how did Simone died in the office hall
also the newspaper said that it went bankrupt and vanished and that they send some one to investigate but not returned (your that some one they send)
@@notoriousbig3k The newspaper is just a subtle way of saying they're all dead
This theory is spot on
@@notoriousbig3k employee jerk guy was simply too close to the explosion. His death was mercifully instantaneous note he has no head.
Simone was trapped upstairs with no power to get out since the explosion destroyed the power and thus the elevator.
As for the newspaper. Why would a paper report on a company going bankrupt but not a mass explosion which to cause this sort of damage must have been huge.
You're there in theory to find the info because your subconscious can't allow you to recall that you are the infamous intern that singlehandedly brought the company down figuratively and literally and caused the death of you and everyone in the office at that time.
Guess that employee couldn’t wait to go...
_Ohm._
No please don’t kill me-
No please come back
I don't even know what ohm means.

O wow this is my game LOL, I was wondering why it was getting so much attention
Thanks for playing it dude, I appreciate the feedback! Glad ya enjoyed it :D
You're game us awesome.
Oh
To expand on this game, you could give the employee the letter of resignation and tell him to just quit today instead of giving the letter, saving his life.. and interfering with the time loop.
Then the next week could ensue, while things are a little more odd. Say an employee from another floor has to be pulled down to fill in, etc.. as it says there were 87 employees total.
Manly: I don’t think the clock is that sinister, maybe he just wants to help people.
The employee: *conveniently pops up*
I like this concept a lot. It subverts itself--first, you think it's going to be a horror game where some lumbering shadow tries to kill you, only to turn it into a peaceful, time-based puzzle game...
--------
Only to double-subvert itself and turn into an actual horror game, where the horror is on a slightly more cosmic scale. At the end of the day, I have this to summarize the game's plot in a nutshell:
**Breaking News: Clock-Faced Boss has no Chill, Causes Time Loop to keep Company from Going Under**

this is a really cool concept

@@rendratvandonkereschrijver2912 that sounds like such a good inside joke
It's simple due to being a game jam project, but I do appreciate jumping around in time to solve relatively mundane puzzles. Chronos just having a giant clock for a head is also pretty great.

This was actually really cool! I would've LOVED to see an expansion on the mechanics and lore though, like the situation on the intern, why it remained unfixed by Clockhart, how Clockhart can manipulate time in the first place- but overall I enjoyed the premise! Time manipulation is always a fun idea in my opinion. Thanks for playing, Manly!
this is a purgatory game, an endless nightmare, our protagonist is already dead and this game is him understanding, how he died, what he has done, its why simone dies randomly, such as the nameless guy, if you think about it in another perspective, this game is way sadder then it seems at face value
@@isaakyhsialf4369 oh that's an interesting theory!! I like that a lot my friend, thanks for sharing
_I guess their time was up_
This was pretty good. The the one day format with a 'short' work week worked well. It was a little rushed with the explanation, but at least it had an explanation that was coherent. I liked it - and MBH's puns.
"You attract what you fear," said the dev and made a horror game about working four days a week.
“What does the clock bring to the potluck?”
Um… Clockolate chip cookies?
Boo!
Type of boss to bring a digital clock to the office party. That way the others can see how long until they need to get back to work.
He also brings a firework to launch when he celebrates work starting
yknow, the IWW were gunning for a 4 day work week several decades ago. erasing two whole days because of "profits" is a bitter twist on that.
What happens if you let him get you or move the pin after he dies?
I dont think you can move the pin, when Manly walked trought it the option of the interaction didn't appear
Office work is scary already
The real unrealistic part of this game is a 4 day work week
I think Simone maybe be a Stein’s Gate reference. Same color scheme and you are time traveling.
Nah must be a coincidence.
This must be the work of the organization

Why’s no one talking about the Garfield reference???
Its Monday, and now I want lasagna... :
wow the stanley parable 3 looks great!
actually, I once heard about a company that lost all of it's files/papers because of a false fire alarm which made everything in the company's building wet, destroying their data (including the one stored in the backup hard drives). so, while spilling water on a single computer might not ruin a company so easily, it's not that far from doing so...
Very unique game idea, I hope the creator takes this concept further.
I may have to play this myself to find out, but I wonder if (even after you defeat the boss) you can go back to the previous days to at least warn the other employees; or give Simone some closure?
EDIT: Maybe not, because the clock boss is dead by this point, but it's worth a try, I feel.
How'd it go?
I have never been so attracted to a pixelated clock man with no arms so quickly before
he's cute
Wow, the Internet seems to really love clock men.
He has arms, they are hanging down in front of him because he is kind of hunched over.
Manly I think you pulled some ANIME Steins;Gate timeline powers saying that Simone reminds you of Christina.
I love this. It's a really, really good game jam game. My favorite part is the introduction to Clockhart, and especially when he walks... back... really... slow... at the same pace because that's _time,_ baby!
1:20 I’m guessing Clockhart really likes it when the workers use FaceTime to get their work done.
2:28 easy: *Minute Rice*
I guess you could say that you were a real _clock blocker?_

RIP Simone and nameless coworker
Man, this was a great idea, what a wonderful execution. I would've loved for it to be a longer experience.
I actually quite like this game. It's simple but still pretty great in terms of gameplay.
Rip to Simone. She is the type of co worker that makes work fun. I wish she could’ve lived but since the company was bankrupt for like 71 years she was already dead 🤪
“Don’t be rude! You shouldn’t judge others based on their appearance.”
STRAIGHT FACTS
I howled at that line because she's just like I'd be even if I meet a guy with a clock face. XD I liked her from then on.
Expecting Gorefield to skitter past in the background of the second floor.
Funny to me that the female coworker, her appearance looks like Kurisu from Steins;Gate... which is also share the time travel theme
With my state returning to online learning today after like a year without it, it’s great to have a video to play in the background! Thank u for keeping us entertained Manly :3
Online Classes feels like a Time-looping nightmare to me. It never ends. I always dreamed of going out in the store or a canteen to buy my own favorite junk food just like old times but now I'm just locked up in my room.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx I know how you feel- I have my final exams in a few weeks and we’re still doing online. I got a dream about Manly getting jumpscared and screaming in fears.
That's unexpected 💀💀
RIP Simone :'(
Very interesting, but it was sad that the other employees didn't make it though
Frankly after doing my office job at home for the past 16 months, it really IS a horrifying premise lol
Honestly, I think this game with it's setup could easily expand, as it was a good (if straightforward) time manipulation puzzle game. This is the kind of horror I don't see as often, where everything seems perfectly normal at first, but bit by bit there are clues revealed that something isn't quite right until the whole thing slowly resolves into something sinister. Not all horror needs to be even implicitly spooky from the outset, which this little project even plays with the bait and switch "monster reveal" at the onset.
Wish I could time travel through the calendar along with the pin
