This man is responsible for a lot of babies.
Directly and indirectly. He's got nine acknowledged children and also the smoothest most sensual voice in his songs.
Just put some Barry White on the turntable...
And I'm one of them!
He works doing childcare when he isn't singing
Moms wept when he passed!! Pretty sure I’m 1 of them babies 🤷🏻♂️
Barry was beloved by everyone from metal heads to pop fans . You couldn’t help but feel good listening to his music. Thanks for the reaction.
I love absolutely everything he did my dad turned me onto him back in the 70s when I was getting in the junior high. My dad was a big fan of Motown, funk, rock all of it. They need to check out some sly and the family stone.
I agree Jbstonesfan
Yep ! That's me. 👍👍
What a voice Barry had.
Half a generation was conceived while listening to Barry.
Only half!
@@markjohnson9476 Well, some people have no class. Though, okay, lets go 80%. 🙂
He was also a composer of an orchestra that included not just a full orchestra but also other instruments to get his signature sound. very cutting edge for his era .
not many people knew that.
Love's Theme is a brilliant instrumental.
He was also a perfectionist. Great music came from this.
NOBODY says baby like Barry White. Man I miss him. He used to do an outdoor summer thing in Indianapolis every year, I never missed it. That man could charm the clothes off of every woman in the crowd. From back in the day when popular music respected women like they should be respected. His shows were a non stop groove.
👍💕
Barry could sing a love song and make you believe. Smooth as butter.
One of the best baby making songs ever made. There isn't anyone from that era that didn't do the deed listening to Barry.
He's also greatly honored for all he did to help his brother through terrible difficulties, even cutting albums for the sole purpose of supporting his brother financially. A truly good man.
I am definitely a rocker, but Barry White's voice commands your listening. His songs were always so sweet and the voice so mellow, who can resist his music. Like someone already said, baby making music. Great song and reaction!!
Brad & Lex, you’ll love his "You're the First, the Last, My Everything", "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" and "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby"!!!! Smooth baby-making music from a great artist!!
Add: Heavenly; All Because of You; September, When I First Met You; What Am I Gonna Do? ; Let The Music Play; Can't You See? ; to name just a few 😊
Stone cold, one of the most perfect records. Reminds me of Isaac Hayes deep take on "By the Time I Get to Phoenix." When pop music sounds like this again, it will be a saner and better world.
I was working in a recording/multimedia studios in Burbank CA in 2001, putting in overtime on the weekend. Barry was in session downstairs in the large studio. He invited all employees in the building to kick it with him and his crew in his lounge to watch the DeLaHoya fight with him. We walked in and he looked at us, smiled and said in that baritone, "How you doin?" Rest in peace my brother, cuz I know the choirs in heaven are just sittin and listening to you.
THE best romance tune, with a fabulous orchestra.
Barry White was known as "The Maestro of Love". Barry White did it all. Not only was he a superstar on his own, he also wrote and produced the music for the "Love Unlimited Orchestra", including their #1 classic "Love's Theme", as well as the successful girl group "Love Unlimited", which featured his then wife Glodean. As you can tell, his entire career was all about spreading a message of love. As the '70s came to a close, his career fell off quite a bit, but he managed to mount a decent comeback in the '90s. He was one of the giants of the '70s and one of the early architects of what would come to be known as disco (although he strongly objected to being classified as a disco artist).
Isaac Hayes is another with that deep deep voice of soul. Lovely song
That's Barry White & The Love Unlimited Orchestra!
'my first,my last, my everything' barry is solid, you'll like this one..
Barry was a songwriter. He originally recorded his music to present to other artists to record. But as you can see no one did his stuff better than himself.
WOW what a voice....even after so many years
Barry White was a very big man which is why he had such a deep and powerful voice. No joke, in 1990 I was at his house delivering a pizza to his daughter then that same night, I went to a grocery store, and I saw his daughter again by coincidence. Barry White was also there with his daughter's girlfriend and his bodyguard. I was astounded at how large a man he was. He must have been 6'4" and big from shoulder-to-shoulder. He was very cool when I came by and said, "Hello" to his daughter.
I was very fortunate to get to see Barry White at the Kiss Cares Concert at Madison Square Garden with Isaac Hayes as the MC also appearing The Gap Band and Brian McKnight ! When Barry appeared on stage the floor opened up there was Barry with his 40 piece orchestra Love Unlimited !
Barry was THE MAN when you wanted to score!
I'm surprised Lex didn't seem to feel the groove of this song like she usually does. It's not one for analyzing, just enjoy the voice and the sway! I guess this was pretty special for it's time!
Barry was definitely built for comfort, not for speed.
OHHHH YEAHHHHHHH FANTASTIC & MONUMENTAL BARRY WHITE, IT'S TRUE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍THANK YOU BRAD & LEX !!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU
Oh those 70s songs from "Barry White and The Love Unlimited Orchestra." Barry's songs echoed in the Disco Dance Bars across the world in the early to mid 70s.
Lex's giggle is cute. Haven't heard this classic in awhile.
I love Barry White! His voice is so great!
I love me some Barry 😍
Barry White, the walrus of love!
The incredible Mr. White has one of the most talented voices.
I love his deep voice, he had a very unique sound! This is great disco music that makes dancing easy!
The show Ally McBeal helped to introduce him to younger generations. And he started touring after that again. Some of the best scenes in the show were related to Barry White. They even convinced him to guest star on one episode.
I loved Ally McBeal! It was so DIFFERENT at the time.
@@susanneg2824 so good. A show I so looked forward to every week.
The Afghan Whigs covered this song for Beautiful Girls. A proper rocking version
@@user-cs4fg1rm5k the Timothy Hutton movie?
@@laurakali6522 the matt dillon, Rosie o donell, uma Thurman, Lauren Holly, Micheal rappaport, Natalie Portman movie. They were the live band
Lex cries for the heart felt ones, this one make me cry cuz its so damn funky 😭😭😭😭
When my mom and dad divorced in the 70s, my mom had her disco phase and I heard a lot of Barry White and Donna Summer during that time. 😆
Good reaction. Barry had a very recognizable voice. Number 1 song third week of September 1974.
What a great disco song. Great dance number. Plus that great voice.
Barry White was always breathing heavy. He was a big dude, but cool AF. I used to see him cruising on Ventura Blvd. back in the early 90's
Barry had one of those voices you just couldn't help but like, no matter who you were, you liked Barry White
Baby making music!
The idea, however, is that it is special with her!
I don’t know how you can sit still during this song…. Makes me groove !!!
Love Barry, in the UK his nickname was The walrus of love xxx
That's funny
Brad, Lex. The word you're looking for to describe Barry - SOUL! I wish y'all would've been around back then. Magical! 🥰
He was singing with an appetite.
I don't see how you guys can just sit there like that.
I'm sitting dancing in my chair rolling around the room.
This is body moving music.
Great bump song!!!! (A dance)
Some good old sheet music as we used to call it. Barry was a master of the Genre.
“My first my last my everything” you don’t get any better than Barry White.
Barry White recorded with a full orchestra known as the Love Unlimited Orchestra. They released at least 3 albums of their own, mostly instrumentals all written and produced by Mr. White. They had at least two hit singles, “Love’s Theme” & “Satin Soul”.
Barry had his finger on the pulse of the 70's
This is a sensual love song. He's telling her how great she is and how much he loves her. Get your mind out of the gutter. :)
"The Walrus of Love" as he was known.. big fella, deep voice, weren't short of the ladies either! His songs (of which there are MANY great songs and Classics) were always on those mix tapes DIY or otherwise, us blokes had ready to stick on for certain occasions or even in the glove box as a you gstwr even in the 90s!.. lol 😂🤣😎👍 🏴
my little sister and her friends loved this song and Barry White.... I pretended not to like it, but obviously it's a great song, lol! The early stirrings of disco music.
Hope you guys are hunkered down and safe in Ft. L!
Barry White (The Maestro) was another great Black American icon✨️✨️🎼🎼😊
I've watched several couples react to this song, and the ladies faces always light up the moment they hear Barry's voice. Lex is the first I've seen who actually appeared annoyed by it!
Barry White was special. Timeless.
To this day, if my older sister hears a Barry White song coming on, she screams "OMG!" To be fair, she also does that for Teddy Pendergast and Luther Vandross.
She has very good taste musically! lol
NO and can't be more like Barry! R.I.P.
That's why he was called The Love Doctor!!!!
when barry white sings there#s another baby being made some where on this earth
Barry White had the best monologues.
Barry was a good sport. Check out his hilarious bit in David Letterman’s classic “Camping with Barry White” skit.
Barry was one soulful Mutha, indeed. He always sounded hungry for good lovin’, huge steak dinners and lots of sides too, I imagine 😂. Love me some Barry White
Many a baby was created by this man's music 🫂👣✌️
SO much good music from him. My favorite song from him he wrote in 1974, it is an instrumental by his Love Unlimited Orchestra, the song is called "Loves Theme". If you don't mind instrumental - I think it is a lovely arrangement.
There is a version of Loves Theme with lyrics, video was on youtube
Later in life he hated it when interviewers said it, but this is 'make out music'... A great help to us guys in the 70s who needed help creating a mood😂
I read that he wrote/sang this as a love song to his wife-no crudeness intended.
Is that Barry White or Chef from South Park? Lol😂
Barry White...the walrus of love...all kidding aside...this man was the voice of procreation back in the 70's...and that's no lie!
See The Trouble With Me is a classic
Esas letras son imposibles de cantar y sin embargo Barry las convierte en magia, es sin duda un genio.
Grown folks music.
You'll dig it more as you get older..
This is The Maestro of Love..
Many many babies born because of Barry White..
You can never tell young uns ...😅
I was working on a balcony helping asphalting it on a flat on the river Medway/ south east England when the lady came out & called us in to watch the 9/11 attacks. Love a bit of Barry White. Took my mind back a bit there
Great song for you know what !! He is from my hometown Galveston !! Love his voice!!
Barry White.. The Man!
Gotta love Barry!! Smooth as silk. ❤️🎶❤️🎶
Barry was the definition of Smooth.
1970's baby making music. Barry was the epitome of smooth!
Barry White some baby makin' music right there.
The song wasn't about sexual desire but his deep love for this woman imo.
The orchestra playing is his 'Love Unlimited Orchestra' and, yes, real instruments and not synthesizer.
Barry White makes me feel like I'm being drooled on.
He’s singing while he’s hungry… LOL
Barry White gave us baby makin' music.
Cannot believe the both of you are sitting still, this song made my body move without a signal from my brain
Many a child owes their existence to this man... lol
I hope you guys are safe from the Hurricane!
A very good friend of mine, now sadly passed, was John Godfrey aka "Mungo". He was the original bassist in Mungo Jerry, famous for their single "In The Summertime". He later worked for Sir Lew Grade, a big noise in UK entertainment/TV at the time. He played some sort of mentoring role when Barry White first came to the UK, and he was put up in the Dorchester Hotel. Mungo was called into Sir Lew's office...he showed him the hotel bill, astronomical ! "Mungo" said the bill was thrown towards him across the desk, Sir Lew looked him in the eye, and said "That's an awful lot of money, is he worth it?"..."Mungo" said " He's got something different, and he came here knowing no-one and he ended up with an entourage after 48 hours. He'll earn you a lot of money", Sir Lew pondered...then signed it off.
Baby makin music by the one who assisted in fathering a generation or two. Made more assists than Magic Johnson.
Ha! That's the point, Lex. This is "love making music".
The King of Max Bravado. The feeling and emotion that comes through in his voice is off the charts.
Great Song!!!!
The King of the soul
What a turn on this song was in the 70's...still one of the sexiest songs around. The voice...
The worlds population Boomed ..
when this Dude Sang ...
I used to work in a vitamin store and we sold a formula to help people conceive a baby....it had a compact disk attached to the box for some reason...when someone would ask what it was for we'd tell them it was a Barry White CD.
Barry gets what he wants
You both cannot appreciate the level of intensity this song had with the public when it came out... and how extraordinarily popular it was. It was perfect for the era... and incredibly beautiful. Words cannot express!
