Here’s a small tip: I put blush at the corner of my cheeks (diagonal from the eyes) and then blend it. This is just my technique and it works well ;-; I’m still not a pro so take this with a grain of salt lol
I see this often on youtube. I always feel then that I am somehow afraid of color, when I use watercolor. But on youtube: when the pictures are progressing or finished, these totally look balanced and vibrant.
This is gonna sound annoying and repetitive but practice is the answer. I'm not a pro myself but I found that my brush strokes looked better with each painting. Not gonna lie, I make way more bad than good art, and so do most of my other rookie artist friends. For the vegetation, I think she's using a Japanese or Chinese (can't recall) technique where instead of having to sketch out individual plants you kinda just do it spontaneously and use the shape of the brush itself to create the shaped of the leaves, etc. Like I said though, this is from my experience and I'm no professional. Hope this was helpful!
oh my!! i didnt know there was a name for the way i paint vegetation :00 thats so interesting!! and yeah, in the end it's always about practice and doing the same thing again and again :,,) there comes a point when painting becomes like.. instinctive?? and you stop thinking about techniques, because you've already successfully stored all that info in your brain!!
@@milkywaes True, it all eventually becomes muscle memory and instinct also hi milkywaes I am truly honored to be of some kind of help wow what an idol
something one must learn also, is that the end result should not be what you are working for. its about learning, and spontaneously putting your ideas on a canvas without the nitpicking of perfectionism.
Watching you paint out the shadows on her skin first and then the plants that were casting them was pretty awesome. It looked so cool because at first it's like what are they doing and then it all comes together
saw the thumbnail and subbed. didn't need to watch (but still did), i already knew that this was some quality content uwu edit: UWU EVEN HARDER THIS IS SO PRETTYYYYY
I love your beautifull watercolors ! Do you think you’ll ever make a tutorial ? Like, how to paint skin or some of your techniques ? It ‘d be great ! I wondered, do you have an e-shop ? I’d love to buy a print or an original !
Subject is wondrous - and your painting brought back memories of my image of "myself" when I was your age - about 45 years ago! I love the hypnotic warmth of summer that you've captured here
Oh my, the colors are so vibrant and yammy, and all those shadows, and those amazing green leaves, and lil'tiny stars and drops of light all around, and all the other stuff are soooooooooo beautiful, sombody help, I'm in love
I just hear the saxophone- *war flashbacks-* It mostly reminds me of having to do solo parts in jazz competitions..... help me lord that was stressful and hard.
I'll never fail to be amazed by how much the highlights change the final product. Both versions (with and without pen highlights) are stunning, but I think they really complete the painting!
I am so confused and so amazed she put down the colors being so sure and like just let it dry and it will turn into a masterpiece. also I love this drawing
I am LOVING this piece! Raw, loose and organic and yet so pulled-together in the end. I love artwork like this but it's hard to find since it's commonly believed that artwork looks best when it's overly neat, inked, and colored in a clean-cut way. That can be beautiful too, but I greatly prefer work where you can practically see the process in each stroke. This is gorgeous, thank you for sharing!
This is beautiful I love it! I love the techniques used and how your painting and the overall feel and look of the peice. I love how you created the shadows of the leaves. This Inspires me to practice more myself and Inspires me to paint.
i think it's funny how on the beginning of every watercolor speedpaint i watch i have a feeling that everything will go wrong, but the painting always end up beautiful
dw! we completely understand. im even too shy to comment skjsjd every video u upload is special to me, the thought of u sharing ur artworks and the process of it is enough♥️ thank you for these, i love u and ur art so muchhh happy 100k
Man... It's like you know the right amount of water to put on the brush. When I try to paint with watercolours, I always end up making a mess. You also paint so neatly. But watching you paint is also so satisfying - to see you paint so perfectly and clean. The painting also turned out beautifully.
This whole video is a spetacle, I love how you started painting with the softer colours, and as we watch the colours began to get stronger and stronger. The process is amazing and I loved your technique.
this is one of the most stunning paintings i've ever seen... the use of colors and lighting is incredible and it looks so bright and glossy even though it's watercolors... massive inspiration
I was like "Alright, another watercolor video.." and when I saw you add the Faber yellow on the hair, I was shocked , that was am zoning...!!!!!! Love your work
im so late to this video but i love your new style and experimenting a lot but as a long time follower on instagram these older watercolor works will always hold a really special place in my heart
i was watching her thinking like "she's going for a bald girl!! cool." "oh, so its a curly red haired girl then.. cool, cool." "..uhm, are those scars of burn?? OMG it looks pretty though." "aaah, so she's doing the hair last, okay" really, i admire so much people who just know exactly how they're going to draw something, as if you have every little stroke planned, it looks just like magic to me i hope to get in that level some day
I’m so inspired by your art styles and it really encouraged me to do watercolour and I’m doing water colour paint whenever I have time. Thank you and keep up the good work🤩❤️
just wanted to say how much your art has inspired me so much! about two years ago I found your channel, and it made want to do watercolor because it was so beautiful. now, it’s my favorite medium, and I still need a LOT of practice, but thank you so much!
I was taken aback when they just painted across the entire paper, this was really cool. It was a new viewpoint to watercolor, I've always just assumed you'd color by section. I love this.

The way you approach watercoloring is so unique (at least from what i've seen). I don't think i've ever seem someone do shadows first! This was super cool to watch.
Your workflow is insane, I'm so in love with how loose but controlled it is! And I loved the yellow tones in both the girl and the background, they really married the two together. Overall - wow!
Usually I don’t watch speedpaints to the end, like I usually just skip to the end to see the result. But this one In watched to the end. It’s really beautiful. Good job.
