I love the darkness at her finger tips, she's otherwise so light and colorful that it helped connect her to the feeling of dark night and crows. Beautiful :)

Doris Fish THANK YOU FOR THE TIP! I’m a beginner so that changes everything.
I think she did that so the paper doesn’t slide around
Nah its done so that the paint doesnt dry fast, we already pre wet it in front but its also done in back to get more time to paint also it helps paper prevent buckling up.
@@gauriphansekar8861 they already put masking tape on sides for that and also for borders as well.

I can’t paint that beautifully in my sleep.
It is amazing! But I have a question. How do you come up with your composition. How do you make your backgrounds. Do you draw every little part from a different reference picture or do you just find the whole photo and then paint it ( I doubt the last one ) ? I’m looking forward to painting portraits with a botanical background and i don’t know how to set up the flowers.
I usually have a concept in mind then I look for (or create) proper references to solidify my concept. I never use just one reference :) I have written down some of my process in my Patreon, in case you want to know in detail how I come up with my concepts~ :)
@@MargaretMoralesArt I just think it is very hard to make the backgrounds without mistakes. Birds or leaves takes lots of time to sketch correctly :> Of course beautiful things take times :>>>
