i'm 5 years in and it turned my life around. I overdosed on ketamin and really ran myself into the ground. Was addicted to alcohol, weed, drugs, working as a waitress and just really wasting my life away. I got clean and eventually also moved back to my parents, basically started over from ground 0. It was a long way for physical and mental recovery but i eventually got where i am today. I am now studying computer science, am in the happiest relationship of my life, been in therapy for a year now, train for a marathon and life feels amazing. I can't imagine ever going back to that personal hell. I'm proud of you!! Keep on plowing forward :)
- Delayed Gratification 7:10 "Do good things for your future self" - Drastically reducing instant gratification and drastically increasing delayed gratification. - Care for your future self - Everytime you do drugs your life gets slightly worse - The whole day becomes a habit - Become addicted to the schedule - Will power is defeating your lizard brain 15:35
Thank you for including the bit about chocolate bars on your desk & now hiding addictions from oneself does nothing for willpower. This was enlightening, Hamza. Truly, I wish you more of the best
I'm 13 and youve been helping me out so much bro thanks. I started working out maybe 5 months ago and people litteraly treat me better now, people that didn't talk to me want to talk to me, thank you so much.
Bless you, my daughter was left out of things in school, she's now 25 and a European and World Champion in bjj ( Brazilian jiu-jitsu ). She spent most weekends competing from a young age in judo. Kids will find something to pick on, keep going, make it a habit, things get better. When she was 15, she packed it in put on weight during her gcse's, was depressed for a bit. Took up mma a couple of years later and fell in love with sport again. Good luck, and keep going, do what you love 🤗
I’ve watched a lot of “self help” videos and as a woman your right there is so much of “have a bubble bath blah blah” but this was genuine help. Thank you so much:)
Its ironic, tell people that are unsatsified because of their inability to delay gratification to use instant gratification in order to take their mind of the problem
This is one of the few channels in the men’s self improvement community that I feel is actually effective. I love how you call out all the bs tactics people try to push and offer real practical solutions. Got me fired up bro. Climbing my way out of a really low point similar to what you had described. I never want to feel that way again. Hardest thing for me at the moment is fully quitting weed. I love smoking a good bowl or 2 at the end of the day when it’s time to just relax but sometimes I feel like maybe I could be more relaxed without it.
Yes dopamine detox is good, puts into perspective what winning is and what order things should happen instead of feeling like I’m winning doing fuck all! Also just posted a comedy skit on my channel about this you might like too! 🔥💪😈🎉😆👍🏋️♂️☯️🏃♂️
I've been in the same place. Weed makes you relaxed at first, but over time it will give you more anxiety. It's what addiction does: you need more and more until you don't really get high anymore. You just get paranoid, overthinking shit. The evenings are the most important part of the day: it's where you process what happened. Also, after smoking weed for years I didn't dream anymore. Shit's not good. All instant gratification is not good.
@@lklk8555 Yes, I don't smoke anymore. You will feel restless at first, don't know what to do with your time, but that's the beauty of it. You can do literally anything now, because you dont waste away so much time being high. Sleeping will be harder at first, but it will get better. Stay strong, dont touch that shit for a good 3 months, see what happens. You might surprise yourself.
As a Muslim woman whos left all social media and cut out bad lifestyle habits, I can deeply relate to this video. Journalling, educating myself and learning to like myself is truly life changing. Well done. Keep it up.
Assalamualaikum sis. Same ❤️ I left social media. To be practical Iam just talking to few PPL and that too important ones. And suggestions? to add in this list
@@mirzaaliyabaig7064 Not Muslim nor a woman, but I heartfully offer for your list meditation, working out, buy self-improvement books (Atomic Habits, Deep Work, Millionaire Fastlane etc.) Wish you fortune on your new life!
Great video! I’m a woman in her 40s and really loved your message. I’ve been working for years to focus more on myself and less on social media and tv and things like that. I workout at least 5 days a week, I eat clean, spend time outside in nature and I really want to journal, mediate, and read more. Also been learning about red light therapy, EMFs and would love to start my own RUclips one day for the “older” viewers! Keep up the great content!
I’m really impressed by the fact that I watched this video without skipping for a single second!! I’m an 18 years old girl who just started college 4 months ago, and I really needed to hear these advice cuz u know when ur a freshman u just feel like everything is interesting and u just want to try everything and u may get involved into really bad habits, but u just woke me up to the fact that some of the shits I started to do may effects my future self. I know this channel mainly for guys, but thank uu for being honest, and for the advice!!
Also, my older brothers don’t care about these things, and they never gave me any positive advice so listening to u felt like getting an advise from a big brother
Factss. I guess I now understand that there's a difference between knowing the benefits of the pill and actually swallowing it.. Happy to have joined your cult.
32 and legit story of my life. I appreciate this video because I’ve been on this detox journey and the thing about the reading and meditation is facts. It feels like a life cheat code. The book that started me was “The Power of Now”. Blessings bro.

I don't really have an older bother or any type of positive male figure in my life, and after just watching you and listening to you (which btw LOVE the brutal honesty) it has really helped me out realize a whole lot of stuff...soooooooo, thank you. And I know your channel is mainly for guys, but I mean your insight about everything is gold.
When people say you can’t get addicted to weed I feel that feeling brooo I spent from 16-21 smoking that stupid drug I wanted to quit when I was 18 3 years of torture finally 2 months clean and I’m just now starting my transformation watched your whole transformation video last night and it was a banger love this channel and these sit down videos honestly some of my favourite content I’ve ever watched
I’m currently addicted and faded as I type … I’m probably going to watch this later because I didn’t expect to see this video while high. I really want to change my life and I’ve done dopamine detox before years ago and it really helps especially with being able to think well and correctly again.
@@bluesakura2092 you can do it. I am an older person with grown kids. When I was young in my late teens I would hang out with a group of people who smoked weed and drink. I occasionally smoked and drank too but never really was into it. However there was one guy who was a stoner, heavy smoker, he was a little older in his 20's. I always remembered him as I just thought he never was full on functioning clearly as he was Kind of out of it, like any time I would see him around town, impaired from the weed smoking. I don't think he worked or when he did, he didn't hold a job down. I moved away, I got married, Had kids etc. A few years go by, over Ten years later I went back to my old town where I lived and I was walking down the street and who do I see? The stoner guy, surprisingly he recognized me and remembered me And we spoke for a few minutes, but what surprised me was the guy still smoked weed and he lived in a room in his mother's house. It seemed he had never moved on from that lifestyle. Like nothing had changed ten years later and he was now in his 30's. So it is something to consider like Do you want to be still doing the same thing ten years from now? Time goes by quickly and before you know it, a year has gone by, then a second year, then another. I believe in you and believe you can do it. It sounds like you're motivated and you really want to change which is awesome. Remember to have a why. Why do you want to quit and change?. I am currently working on losing weight. I wrote down a long list of reasons why I want to lose weight. I think it helps to ask yourself why and then give a list of reasons. It can be anything like being able to do activities without being out of breath, you want to be able to think more clearly, you want to save money. Once you start writing the list, it'll get longer as you will think of more and more answers to add to your "why" list. And you may not think of things all at once, in one go, you can just add at different times. I have written mine on my phone in my notes. It is good to read every day and at any moment where I am feeling deflated about things. You also have to have a plan. And write that down too. Like how are you going to achieve what you want, what physical actions do you need to take. Eg. is it not buy weed, not see the person where you buy it from, instead of sitting and smoking, you go for a walk or you start a new hobby or something. Have to replace that old activity with a new activity, change the routine. What changes are you going to make. Write it all down. If you did it before, what was it that caused you to fall back into old habits. So consider how you can avoid repeating that again. Anyway, just trying to help. We all have something that we need to work on. I have my things too. It's an ongoing journey, learning and growing, it doesn't stop. I wish you every success. You've got this!
@@Iloveflowers2024 You don’t understand how much you affected me by writing this!! Thank you so much. I actually will follow this advice because I really needed some words to live by. I was needing this and because I really do want to be successful.. I always felt like there was a purpose for me in Life but I feel like I got stuck in routines that only give me instant gratification. Now I’m 22 and I feel like I have nothing to show for myself… Im looking for another job and looking to move to Phoenix to get an even better job eventually so I can finally become a Nurse like I always wanted. Thank you so much 🙏😢❤️
Was where you described being about 6 month ago, living on my own away from home, working a job that was causing my anxiety to be sky high, smoking weed everyday sunrise to sunset, eating shit & working out maybe 2-3 times per week using all my free time to play video games or go get drunk. I had a total breakdown & moved home… I’ve been trying to sort it but I’ve just replaced shit habits with other shit habits. This video is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve had a building frustration with myself about how little I’ve been doing. I’ve been living in self pity. I’ve been ready for change for 6 months now after trying all the bullshit & getting no where what you’ve said makes so much sense. Thank you man you’re a beautiful human for putting this information out there 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this video, I appreciate your realness. You have made me realize a lot about myself. Teen years ago I was at my worst.. I was in an abusive marriage and was drinking hard liquor everyday, smoking weed and some very toxic things. It reached a point where I was crying everyday, having nightmares every night and constantly dizzy. At that point I decided I couldn't live like that anymore and I began meditating, lucid dreaming and writing in a dream journal as well as a regular journal and writing affirmations everyday. I stopped drinking and smoking of course. Within a few weeks I had a clear head and was happier. I discovered my husband was cheating and left him. After that things improved as I began doing art everyday and yoga for 45 minutes every night and got in the best shape of my life. What you said about knowing you could slip back into that dark place again resonated with me. I have been taking on some bad habits the past few years. I have an addiction to my phone.. I did quit Facebook mostly, just in occasion but I have the tendency to binge on RUclips and also I am addicted to sugar. I have my phone on me all day and I am bored to even play toys with my kids. Also I've wanted to lose about 20 pounds for awhile but I keep starting and stopping exercise. I am absolutely going to take your tips into consideration. I've been trying to improve by learning Spanish in my spare time and listening to audiobooks instead of RUclips but I want to make bigger changes now.
The realest conversation I’ve ever heard on RUclips. Radical self improvement is definitely something that makes you see the world in such a new perspective and your perspective helped me realize this is the best perspective even if it’s just a few who can understand it. So powerful. I appreciate you taking the time to do it for your self. Filling your cup is filling mine too, and everyone else on here it looks like also.
I know most of your videos are probably addressed towards a male audience, but as a girl I also find your content really helpful tbh .. thank you for being so transparent in your videos 🙏
Hello, I'm Vasilis, Hellenic and live in Athens. Recently, I've come across your videos and I am working to implement all these things into my everyday life. Although I have not done much yet, I can already see some improvement in me and my every day. So, I am l'm grateful and I thank you for your work 'cause it's already changed a lot about me. My father died when I was eight, now I'm trying to make him proud. I used to study only for school, now I can read a whole book or newspaper front to back in public without getting distracted. I used to not try to be good at english, now I'm at C1 level and going to take the Proficiency exam in December. I used to be the least fit guy in my group o'friends, now I feel like I can beat all of them. And those are the reasons why I thank you. For making me more of a man and hellenic than my ancestors in very little time. Keep it going and may God bless you and all around you. Amen.
Man you're legit changing my life. I've started my self-improvement journey after watching countless videos of yours. Thanks for being the big brother that I (and possible many others) never had
I just love to see Hamza looking like an absolute chad in every way possible, yet he’s extremely grateful for it and admires the stuff he has achieved as much as I do for example. Great inspiration, thank you!
Hamza inspired me to spend 2 days with no phone on top of a mountain journaling and thinking about my purpose in life. I have now discovered it, this man’s channel is goated
What I like the most about Hamza, is the fact tha he shows himself like a human being, vulnerable and also keen to archieve real progress without unrealistic times or extraordinary magic tricks. He is like us, all we have the same kind of problems and all have the same oportunities to be a better person.
i’m happy someone is acknowledging the gymnastic rings. weight training is so overated among younger guys but calisthenics is shockingly effective in putting a lot of tension in muscles.
I watched the whole video hamza I’ve been on my self improvement journey for a month now journaling, meditating, reading, working out, Muy Thai im slowly losing interest in the instant gratifications and loving life more I am still struggling with internal issues self esteem but I won’t give up and doing the hard work when I don’t feel like it has helped me grow so much I’m actually gonna go workout right now even though I don’t feel like it!
Beyond inspirational. Guarantee I’m going to strive to get better everyday. You’re going to save a lot of people from Depression during these harsh times around the world. Thank You, Hamza 🙏. May we all strive to be Adonis 💪. I’m from Toronto, Canada. Can’t thank you enough for your uploads.
Great video brother. It really resonated. I’ve been sort of, sort of, on the same journey for the past ~1.5 months. It has not been a complete detox though. I have a goal in mind and have been doing my best to achieve it. I have a lose schedule as well. Basically, I get up at 4am (2 months ago that was my bedtime lol), make my morning coffee and grilled cheese (very easy to make, delicious, and one less thing I have to think about in the morning), do some light stretching as I’m waiting for my breakfast to finish. Take my breakfast to my desk, fire up the computer and just start studying. No bs I have to do this and that to prepare for studying. No, just sit down half asleep and start studying. To keep myself from getting distracted, I downloaded the freedom app and set a schedule where pretty much everything that can be viewed as entertainment or distracting is blocked until 3pm. I know you don’t agree with those blockers, but it worked for me. I have found my desire to even go on these sites while studying to be pretty much zero now and really don’t even think I need it anymore. For the beginning though, it helped tremendously. As someone, who has never gotten up earlier than 6am 2 days in a row before I started this or started studying first thing in the morning, it’s been a massive eye opener. You get shit done in the morning, it’s crazy, how focused you can be when you start out your day focusing. I take 5 minute breaks every now and then when need be. I’m not a robot. In those small breaks I’ll usually just walk around a bit, look outside or go outside (sounds weird but hey it refreshes me). Come around 10-12 I’m usually pretty tired by this point and hungry so I take about 30min for lunch, then go back and study. Some days I study until 5pm, others I’m done by noon. It depends on what I’m covering and how well I slept. So technically I don’t have a fixed time table. In the first 2 weeks I did study from the morning until around 5pm, but I found myself losing motivation and focus. I also didn’t take a single day off during those 2 weeks and didn’t play video games. It frankly made me miserable and not looking forward to my day. Now, on average I’m usually done with studying at 3pm and then I give the rest of the day to myself. That means I can do whatever I want. It’s my reward for putting in a solid day’s work. I also take the weekends off. Hats off to you for being more strict, I personally find I’m happier with this sort of intensity and it’s at a level I now I can do without worrying about slipping up. The result of only this past month and a half have been profound. I feel prouder of myself. I’m looking forward to my future and aren’t afraid of it being dark. I only see it as improving and getting better. I have also learned so much. I can do things that I wish I knew how to do just a few months ago. It just feels good knowing I’m heading down the right path in life. I’ve also done journaling which I find very helpful. As Sigmund Freud said, “Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise.” One more thing, I have a trick for getting out of bed even when I don’t want to. My favorite movie is Troy. It has everything. Love, war, humanity, the flaws of humanity, and Achilles. A man in search of immortality and glory. He achieved that goal. Anyway, in the movie when Achilles fights Hector, Hector trips on a rock (ha classic) and falls. Achilles could have killed him then and there, but he doesn’t. Instead he drops his shield and says to Hector “get up prince of Troy, I wont let a stone steal my glory.” In the morning, I think of my bed as that stone. So when I don’t want to get up, I just think to myself, “get up (my name), I won’t let a bed steal my glory”. As dumb as it sound, nothing has worked better for me than that. Another incredible lesson we can all learn from Achilles comes from the scene when they first get on Troy’s shore. Achille’s ship is the first one to make ground. Achilles is the first one off the ship. He gets on that beach and he fights for his glory like a possessed madman. He doesn’t have the patience to wait, he has waited for this moment his entire life. He has trained for this moment his entire life. He does what is necessary and hesitate to do it. He waits for no one. That’s why we still remember him to this day. He just does what is necessary with the highest amount of vigor he possesses. That’s how we need to be if we want to achieve our glory.
Good content bro, I’ve been on and off self improvement (NF, dopamine, purpose etc) this year and last year; starting really well (march 2020) and ending poorly (March 2021-now).I can see the similarities between each other and how you described your past self which is hard to find in some youtubers, your channel has made me urge to become more resilient and stronger. Sub and dub
ALSO, just to add to the self-love thing, I saw an amazing video that talked about how the most unshakable way to develop self-esteem is to have a moral code and always act on it. Because looks fade, and shit happens, but you can literally always act like what you believe a "good person" is and know you're walking through the world making it a better place. It makes it so much easier to feel like you deserve good things in life.
Bro totally agree with you! I have been trying to work on that for a little while but have been slacking a bit! And I have to get back to it! When I follow it, my days are so amazing!!! And when I don’t, my day is ehhh…
I don’t know what it is but ever since I’ve started watching this guy for like weeks I haven’t had the urge to play video games, fap or none of that. I’ve been like HUNGRY for my workouts like I wish I could workout more but I know my body needs to recover. I feel like running everywhere. I’ve become HUNGRY for learning too, I’ve been active in taking action and have become way more sociable and have been having a great time just talking to people and willingly setting up social events and going to parties. The weirdest thing though has to be the fact that I literally don’t get tired, I know sleep is good but I’ll literally do stuff non stop all day, go to sleep not tired and wake up in 3 hours ready to crush the next day. It’s weird because I literally feel like I don’t need the sleep my body won’t let me, I’m like so excited about my progress and my improvement that I can’t fall asleep. I feel like I’m on crack all the time. I’ve become quite a bit cockier too, feeling a lot bigger than I am. Btw if you think I’m making a sarcastic joke, I’m not in dead serious. This is what is going on and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Amazing video! I agree so many self love/ improvement videos are just temporary distractions from the negatives. I’m glad to hear someone tell it straight
Went through a breakup yesterday with a long-term girlfriend I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. Sadly I saw what I was doing wrong and just kept on doing it. I could stay where I was and be content knowing that she loved me. Now that I don't have clutch, I'm going to work as hard as I can to become the best version of myself. In six months I'll come back and update on my progress. I should have made these changes a long time ago, but I'm not waiting any longer. Whether we end up together or not is irrelevant. I have to do this for me
I'm 13 years old and started watching your videos quite recently, and they have inspired me to try and become a better person. I love how you keep it real and no BS, no clickbait, no sponsors afaik, just real advice for teenagers and young men. Keep up the grind Hamza and everyone seeing this. I apologize for any eventual grammar or spelling mistakes; I'm not a native English speaker. Hope you all the best!
Damn. 13 years old, better grammar than most native speakers your age, and already focusing on self improvement. You give me hope for our future, young man. Best of luck and a happy life to you!
Your channel is so underrated, I wish I would have had your channel when I started my self improvement journey, your no bullsh*t advice is so f*cking valuable I love it, keep it up man ✌🏼

Currently day 3 on my dopemine detox and i told myself im only aloud to consume 2 hours per day of eductional youtube content. Been watching you for years now but i had to come back to this video. Very inspiring💯💪🏾
I'm older and coming at this from a different angle. I was an "Adonis" between ages of 18-35, but then life happened and now at 42 years of age, I'm a dopamine addict to numb my pain barely holding on to everything that I previously achieved and worked so hard for - a beautiful wife, investments, homes, well-paid career, etc. My wife and I struggled with infertility issues, miscarriages after miscarriages, and my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's (who we are taking care of but it is very hard to watch a brilliant man, who is physically fit lose himself through no fault of his own). Life feels pointless now as face the inevitability of aging/dying and I no longer have motivation to do anything that I previously had. I will try this dopamine detox to re-calibrate myself.
my third week now with a time table. thank you for the idea. I hit about half of the days but as you always say: its progress :) keep up the good work bro!
This video has made me realize how little I do in a day, I'm struggling to fill the book. Right now I am struggling, I'm done with school, but I have no-one to meet, nothing to do, my time is took up by the internet and my lack of good hobbies force me to stay that way. I will have to learn new things.
congratulations on 30k my bro, still working on being less of a Jeffery but your videos are really inspiring and im finally seeing some betterment in my mental and physical health and i just wanted to thank you for your part in that
I relate to you when you narrate looking at the chocolate in the eyes and stop desiring them. Its been 12 years now that I didn't drink any soft drinks and very far from craving a sip of them.
your videos are so much better for me than any other 'good lifestyle' videos out there - you've done the research, you've been in the bad places, you know what us as the viewers probably feel like. and that's a pretty unique thing for most fitness creators. keep smashing it bro
I like this, “Self loves comes when your past self has set your future self up for success. Your present self has to chose to be the past self doing your future self the favor.”
I am feeling the same "stuck" feeling you described but i will def start with the time table to built my habits. When you talked about habits it reminded me of a lao tzu quote "Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.” Thank You
Yes dopamine detox is good, puts into perspective what winning is and what order things should happen instead of feeling like I’m winning doing fuck all! Also just posted a comedy skit on my channel about this you might like too! 🎉🏃♂️☯️💪🔥🏋️♂️🕺🏻💥👍😈
Think of yourself as a video game character starting out with nothing. You got to start grinding to get anything. After you made some progress, you can buy/craft stuff to make the grinding easier. But you keep grinding cause you know in the long run it would pay off. Even after accomplishing all you goals you keep grinding to get the easy life. This is the goal
How is it I find this video when I need it most. This is exactly how I stopped smoking weed. I told my mates not to worry about hiding away when they smoked which is what they suggested to help me quit. I needed to exercise the will power to say no while still being in the presence of people smoking. The smell, the visual stimulation of watching someone smoke. I had to master my urges and the only way of doing this properly is to expose myself to my vices and say NO. Absolutely love the video Hamza, I'm new to your community but I can see that you're not just any old cliché lifestyle guru. Respect.
Dude I literally paused on the 6th minute to first reflect on the relatability to this! Im literally going thru the same thing right now! Except mine has a little bit of college drop out drama and what not …but the idea of finding myself running to instant dopamine rather than goong back to the gym and editing/taking my photography career seriously is threatening
I’m 20 minutes in and I just want to say to anyone that is looking to take on this lifestyle change: Lasting Change is not accomplished in a day, week, or month. It’s usually much longer than that. You didn’t get to where you were overnight so you won’t get out overnight. Before I built a pressure washing business, transferred colleges, and got my dream car, I was a wreck similar to this guy. I kept failing because I was expecting change to happen quicker than it really does. This one quote changed my life: The man that moves piles of sand moves mountains. Focus on the small changes everyday and be conscious of it. Take a step in the right direction every day, one that is uncomfortable. I also want to add that watching this video is very inspiring for me right now because switching schools was the worst decision for me and I did not know it. I was in a great private business school with a full scholarship and decided to transfer to a party school. I wasn’t ready for such an environment and fell back to my old ways. Now it’s time to hustle up again. Making small changes everyday. I’m happy to say a lot of what this video talks about I have applied and can vouch that it works. But the minute you fall of the horse you can lose a lot of progress, as I have. Broke, frustrated with myself, and overall angry and depressed that I let myself slip off of such a high mountain. Change is slow always has been, always will be Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Hiroshima fell in one. Much love to anyone reading this.
Thanks for your honest and inspiring comment...I really appreciate it all. It's that decision to continually get back up after every fall that ultimately allows us to walk seamlessly
I am currently 4 and a half minutes into the video and tears are already coming out. I'm living through the exact same problems which you mentioned. Currently, I am out of country visiting relatives and I am so afraid of the day I drive back home. I am almost 21 years old and just don't know what to do. As you said, I feel like I'm 'stuck in life'. I just want to send love to everyone who goes through the same, as I am incapable of loving myself for 2 years now.
Don’t ever give up on yourself God gave you this life to enjoy with you all the love you have inside of you It takes time. Look in the mirror and says to yourself I love you.😎 Every day One day at a time 🙏
I’m at the start of my fat loss, clean eating journey and now I want to do this dopamine detox. I resonated with what you said about having trouble paying attention in school and I know I could benefit from this. Great video as always bro
I have seen my brother change into an absolutely different person literally just by watching your videos and he has been always recommending me your videos in general. I recently moved to London and in a way, I got into the habit of smoking pot regularly and I swear signs of mental illnesses that I was unaware of previously like extreme attention deficiency, severe severe depression and anxiety has become so vivid and I fell into the pattern of relapse and quitting. After a very stressful period of constant self hatred and extreme amounts of anger and hostility towards myself, I have for the very first time come across something I can so dearly relate to, like I’m holding onto this rn. I have been such a degraded version of myself, and because I have stepped onto the self growth journey, I know and I believe in the changes in brings. So thanks to you, for your words of wisdom. I wish I started watching you sooner.
Thank you so much hamza, by the grace of God I've stumbled upon you in this time in my life where I have failed and failed at overcoming addiction when I have responsibilities greater than me. I can't thank you enough man
I've found that ever since I started doing your 5 habits (gratefully, mediation, reading, working out, and studying) before doing anything else such as video games, social media has basically made it so that I only really do shit like Facebook every 2-3 weeks and I play video games once a week during weekends at most. I feel like a fog has started to lift from my mind Based Hamza, 10/10 would try again
I'm not a guy but I like watching some of your videos especially about journalling and books you quote as I've read some of the books you mentioned. Thank you
It has been a few days since I started watching Hamza and I can already notice that my life is changing... I am 16 and I just love playing video games more than anything. I used to hate studying, but now, I have only read books and watched Hamza's videos for entertainment in the past few days. I am starting gym tomorrow and I haven't even touched video games for some time. Yeah, I will get back to playing video games because I want to create a Gaming/Tech company and be a content creator. Once I get everything together and my studies become perfect I'll start playing video games again. I don't see any problem with it. Thank you, Hamza! You are very knowledgeable and wise.
I happy that you realized the bad effects of video games. I’m in my early 50s. I started playing video games with Pong and the Atari 2600. I’ve been playing ever since. I have played a LOT of games and wasted literally THOUSANDS of hours over the years. I would’ve been much more productive and successful if I had spent that time elsewhere… like learning to trade and invest, for example. “Buy Apple and Amazon stock? Nah…. I’d rather play Diablo, instead.”
i just realize that i was doing this dopamine detox back in 2020, the time table, delayed gratifiction and reduced instant gratification, nofap, i didn' knew about gratitude and meditation but i was still delaying gratification and trust me it felt really good, even walking through the park and hearing the birds singing gave insane amounts of pleasure. trust me if you want to do a dopamine detox know that it is 100% worth it
Bro, this video is like when the mirror starts talking to you. Absolute gold! Clear and concise, no BS, straight to the pain points. Sub and dub bro, keep on rockin'. 💪🏽
This video came up in my recommended and I feel as though it was just meant to be. I used to be a social media influencer, and I would engage in a lot of the bad habits you mentioned. I started my dopamine detox journey in September, and soon after I completely disabled all of my accounts for good. It was funny to me looking at all the people who delete the app and redownload. For me, I had become sick of it at that point and I lost interest completely. Now, I’m almost 6 months free of social media’s addictive grip, I meditate every single day and read more than I look at screens(I’ve always been a big reader so this parts easy:) and I swear it’s actually life changing. Thank you for spreading the word and keeping it real. There are so many fakes out there that do these types of videos for the attention. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

It was a long way for physical and mental recovery but i eventually got where i am today. - Delayed Gratification
7:10 "Do good things for your future self"
- Drastically reducing instant gratification and drastically increasing delayed gratification.
- Care for your future self
- Everytime you do drugs your life gets slightly worse
- The whole day becomes a habit
- Become addicted to the schedule
- Will power is defeating your lizard brain 15:35

I'm 13 and youve been helping me out so much bro thanks. I started working out maybe 5 months ago and people litteraly treat me better now, people that didn't talk to me want to talk to me, thank you so much.

Yeah I am finding it hard to completely stop as well. It helps quiet my mind and i can chill before I go to sleep. Have you managed to stop?
@@lklk8555 Yes, I don't smoke anymore. You will feel restless at first, don't know what to do with your time, but that's the beauty of it. You can do literally anything now, because you dont waste away so much time being high. Sleeping will be harder at first, but it will get better. Stay strong, dont touch that shit for a good 3 months, see what happens. You might surprise yourself.

Hold this W

As Sigmund Freud said, “Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise.”
One more thing, I have a trick for getting out of bed even when I don’t want to.

The honesty 💯 The fact that you're serious and funny at the same time. I love it.
It’s rare finding someone real these days, i’m glad i found you, thank you sir
GOOD F*CKING SHIT.

Damn. 13 years old, better grammar than most native speakers your age, and already focusing on self improvement. You give me hope for our future, young man. Best of luck and a happy life to you!

Currently day 3 on my dopemine detox and i told myself im only aloud to consume 2 hours per day of eductional youtube content. Been watching you for years now but i had to come back to this video. Very inspiring💯💪🏾
My Man! I like That you mentioned Chai with Ammi.. ❤️
You'll make it sir. We are with you in this journey.
I lost my dad to Alzheimer’s three years ago. I feel you, man. Best of luck to you in your journey.
my third week now with a time table. thank you for the idea.
I will have to learn new things.
congratulations on 30k my bro, still working on being less of a Jeffery but your videos are really inspiring and im finally seeing some betterment in my mental and physical health and i just wanted to thank you for your part in that
you're welcome brother. I'm grateful that you've joined the cult and that you're working on these important parts of yourself. Respect
@@Hamza97 30K now 330k congrats bro, you’re helping me turn my life around
Damn just hit 30k 8 months now he on his way to 400k 🤯
I relate to you when you narrate looking at the chocolate in the eyes and stop desiring them. Its been 12 years now that I didn't drink any soft drinks and very far from craving a sip of them.
Immediately after warning us he tells us about the Crack pipe😂😂😂
Dude I’m so thankful that you created your RUclips channel. The value that you give is just crazy.
your videos are so much better for me than any other 'good lifestyle' videos out there - you've done the research, you've been in the bad places, you know what us as the viewers probably feel like. and that's a pretty unique thing for most fitness creators. keep smashing it bro
My guy is super honest, Yoou got my subscribe !
Congrats on the 1 year journey, I'm sure you'll achieve the digital nomad lifestyle by next year
I like this, “Self loves comes when your past self has set your future self up for success. Your present self has to chose to be the past self doing your future self the favor.”
I am feeling the same "stuck" feeling you described but i will def start with the time table to built my habits. When you talked about habits it reminded me of a lao tzu quote "Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.” Thank You
Hamza you’re also helping us ladies out here. Really appreciate you!
Damn bro you called me out on the league part... Thanks for all the insight, definitely lifechanging advice!
Found this channel at the perfect time in my life. Thanks for being real with us Hamza… You’ve got the world in your hands 🔮
Same
Love how REAL this video is !
I’m 20 minutes in and I just want to say to anyone that is looking to take on this lifestyle change:
Lasting Change is not accomplished in a day, week, or month. It’s usually much longer than that. You didn’t get to where you were overnight so you won’t get out overnight. Before I built a pressure washing business, transferred colleges, and got my dream car, I was a wreck similar to this guy. I kept failing because I was expecting change to happen quicker than it really does. This one quote changed my life:
The man that moves piles of sand moves mountains.
Change is slow always has been, always will be
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Hiroshima fell in one.
I just want to send love to everyone who goes through the same, as I am incapable of loving myself for 2 years now.
keep fighting!!!
Don’t ever give up on yourself
God gave you this life to enjoy with you all the love you have inside of you
It takes time. Look in the mirror and says to yourself I love you.😎 Every day
One day at a time 🙏
I’m at the start of my fat loss, clean eating journey and now I want to do this dopamine detox.
Jo your Videos are extremly informative and helped me alot but im not on my goal yet. And wow...30k you deserve it and much more
thank you brother
I love how blunt you are. Love the humor, people are far too sensitive these days. Need more people like you
This is is legendary. Discipline is a superhuman skill. Im going to do this. We can all do it.
Thank you so much hamza, by the grace of God I've stumbled upon you in this time in my life where I have failed and failed at overcoming addiction when I have responsibilities greater than me. I can't thank you enough man
You're refreshing to listen to because your so honest man
I've found that ever since I started doing your 5 habits (gratefully, mediation, reading, working out, and studying) before doing anything else such as video games, social media has basically made it so that I only really do shit like Facebook every 2-3 weeks and I play video games once a week during weekends at most.
I feel like a fog has started to lift from my mind
Based Hamza, 10/10 would try again
I'm not a guy but I like watching some of your videos especially about journalling and books you quote as I've read some of the books you mentioned. Thank you
1st-time...honest people are great to listen to...great show.
Hello fellow based king. We are gonna make it!
@@lukethekuya hehe boi
I happy that you realized the bad effects of video games. I’m in my early 50s. I started playing video games with Pong and the Atari 2600. I’ve been playing ever since. I have played a LOT of games and wasted literally THOUSANDS of hours over the years. I would’ve been much more productive and successful if I had spent that time elsewhere… like learning to trade and invest, for example. “Buy Apple and Amazon stock? Nah…. I’d rather play Diablo, instead.”
All begin with the right mindset , mindset > thoughts > actions > results
I'm proud to say I've watched the entire video, and every second was awesome! Thank you Hamza!
This man deserve more subscribers, all facts! more power to your channel brother
Hamza you're a beast man! So Motivational... Keep the grind going. Let's Go!!!
Let’s go bro

Just finished, can't wait to start this journey. Hit a personal low this year, time to shift.
Proud of you Hamza :)❤️
i just realize that i was doing this dopamine detox back in 2020, the time table, delayed gratifiction and reduced instant gratification, nofap, i didn' knew about gratitude and meditation but i was still delaying gratification and trust me it felt really good, even walking through the park and hearing the birds singing gave insane amounts of pleasure. trust me if you want to do a dopamine detox know that it is 100% worth it
Bro, this video is like when the mirror starts talking to you.
Damn I love the honesty. You really are a deep solid brother. Well done, your video helps.
Very inspiring listening to you.
I know how many lives you’re going to change every day
