- I studied and worked in London from 2014-2020 and I'm sharing my best tips with you in this video to help you find a job in London! I had such a wonderful experience working in tech in London, but it took me over 200 applications to land my first job in the UK in 2017!

I am so stressed out about this because I want to start my singing career in London and I want to live there long term, but I don’t have a job currently and I very very recently graduated high school. I also am going to a college near me. I just don’t know how to actually live in London while not doing a job that will make me unhappy.
i hope this has worked out for you, but if it hasn’t perhaps a youth mobility visa would be an option. they’re only avaliabe in certain countries but worth looking into!

Hello! I’m still a junior high student in Japan who is about to get to senior soon. And I wanna try become a teacher in the UK. I’m fluent in English but,Taking college in Japan basically means that we get the education in Japanese. So I’m just curious if it’s possible for someone who got a major in teaching but learned it in a different language to become a teacher in a country that mains with English.(Sorry if this was difficult to understand)
Another question is that do I have to take a English course? I can already speak English because of my roots but,As said earlier,taking an education course in Japan would mean learning that subject in the Japanese language. So wouldn’t it be difficult to convert what you learned in Japanese to English?
I used to be in your position thinking of becoming a secondary school teacher in the UK. So as i know they have the evaluation only route, where u can apply to be a non qualified teacher in the UK if u have 2years experience in teaching at your home country. Then u can work out to apply for QTS in the uk whilst working as a teacher. Another possibility to apply directly is if there is a vacant post for Japanese language..maybe. The best way is to do a 1 year PGCE course in the UK, so that u get familiarise with the UK education setting. If u want to proceed, then the best option is to go for STEM subjects, and better possibility of getting hired if u go for secondary teaching. Then, u have to make sure your secondary school results equivalent to the UK standard especially english, maths, and sciences.
To proceed with PGCE application, go to UCAS.
To proceed with teaching vacancy, u can try searching for one online.

Hello! I saw your IG post about getting a job as an account manager in London but that's such an entry level position - I doubt they would give that to an American. Or am I wrong? Unfortunately, the law changed just as I left my masters in London so I could only stay there for a few months after my school was over and of course the internship I was with ended up not being able to give me a job.
On top of it my dad is one of the heads on the board of an international engineering company in London and I went through several interviews with the marketing team and HR for an event coordinator position and after all of that HR said it would be too expensive to hire me. They really really tried because it was a great fit and they knew my dad. Not that I'm turned off from the job search there it just seems like in the field of marketing it is impossible, I'm not a specialist, nor in finance. My ultimate goal is to become a UK citizen and live there as long as I can but looking on LinkedIn isn't really the answer. I need like more specifics, like any companies you know of or recommend?
I have a great remote job right now and I'm going abroad in 2 months again for my masters graduation and to work remotely but I can only stay there as a tourist for 6 months. If I don't meet anyone in that time frame I'll have to come back here. UGH I just wish it was easier. I love London so much. Any suggestions would be so welcome :)
Hey Victoria! I know that my company sponsors Account Managers and we have lots of them from Russia and the US. I think it's because they have language and experience in the field. I would recommend trying to get an internal reference from someone doing the job you want at another company. I was able to get an Amazon reference by pinging people on Twitter and Instagram, which put me into the interview cycle in Germany. I didn't get the job, but it was a great trick to break into competitive companies that can sponsor.
