Vitamin D is not naturally occurring in milk. It is added after the milking to mass production. Vitamin D is actually a hormone your body creates when exposed to ultraviolet sunlight.
Very healthy way of eating no doubt and they probably get lots of Vit D from playing outside on the farm. 😊

@@rosalierossi5897if you have sourdough starter try this ratio: 350 ml water, 150g starter mix well, add 15g of salt, mix. Add 500g white flour (or 450 white and 50 wheat)
Mix it all and let it sit for 30-60min, after that start your stretch and folds and do it at least 3 times (letting dough rest 30min between stretches), after 3rd stretch and fold let the dough rest until it doubles in size. When doubled, take it out to the surface and pre shape it, then let it sit for 30 min, then flip the dough around, shape it, prepare your proof basket (I actually use just regular loaf bread for proofing: I lined it with towel and sprinkle with rice flour) place the dough in proof basket with seam side up, cover it and place in fridge for over night at least.
In the morning, Preheat the oven with covered pot in it at 500F, when hot place the dough on the parchment paper (you will take the dough out of your basket and flip it around so the seam side will be down) make the incisions however you like. Bake at 500, cover on for 20 minutes then bake another 15 uncovered.
This is lower hydration dough but it comes out very good.

@@ally5524 I'm not sure what is on their farm. I still stand by the importance of having the skills to live off the land. My mom is from the era of growing up with wood fire cooking, going to bed early to conserve candle light use, no electricity, no running water.
Chickens are not that dependent on people to feed them as you think. They'll still survive as long as they can free range, access to water and have protected shelter, albeit with lower meat and egg production.

Буквально недавно, в 1993 г, мы гостевали у мамули на Алтае в подобных условиях и с вкусной домашней натуральной едой. Молочко Сметана сливки картошечка чудесный хлеб из русской печи, солонина всевозможная, яйца веуснейшие, грибы, ягоды, овощи ,через порог на огороде… да всё и не перечислить

For me too, but it‘s a lot of hard work I guess. Eventhough it‘s like paradise I‘m not sure I‘m suited for this kind of life 😅 probably I would have to learn tons of stuff.
Hard work (even when you are sick), no vacation, so much isolation for you and your children, everything is so far away (work, friends, hospitals, schools, shops, culture...). It is very interesting and refreshing experience for few weeks/months, but for years or for the whole life you need a very big motivation for living this kind of life.

And that they will be able to choose a life path according to their own wishes, whether it is a farm or another lifestyle.
