I’ve got a great deal of time for Mark Cavendish. I taught tough lads in Liverpool and used him as a role model in my classroom drawing attention to his competitive attitude, his work with a team and the way he was quick to thank his teammates when he won a sprint. His courage is in stark contrast to the lads’ usual heroes who hurl themselves to the ground and insult referees. Thanks Mark.
Riding with your kid is priceless Mark. You will never forget those moments. Unfortunately, I never got to ride with my father for several reasons. I think he might have liked it. But it is what it is. I have no kids but never say never. Thank you for sharing an insight into your family life. Highly appreciate it having an inkling of what you went going through. I wish you an injury-free season and that all your wishes may come true. As a fan you have already given us so much, I think there is no need for us to wish for anything extra.
Great to see Mark outside of Pro races with his family at home. He works very had for the successes he's achieved. A great ambassador for cycling and an inspiration. Wish I had tried even 10% of how hard he has worked to get where he is. A great bike rider and talent. Richly deserves all his wins.
cool interview - really nice to see. Have always thorught highly of Mark, but even better to see him relaxed and in his element. How cool to share his passion with Casper
Nice bloke, wonderful father, great cyclist. Loved watching him win his Tour de France stages, always rooting for him. Always tried to emulate him on my bike commute to work. Best wishes.
MC seemed like an aggressive hot head to me when he was young. Last few years make me realize I was wrong. Seems like a decent fairly well-balanced person. I hope he gets one more TDF stage. Would be an amazing to see.
The person you see competing and reacting after a race can be a completely different person at home. I once had a room mate and dear friend at uni who turned in a sort of drill master once he got on the basket ball court to train and coach the second level team at uni. I did not recognise him. 😃👍

I'm so looking forward to seeing that historic 35th TDF stage victory this summer! 😁

I am a very keen leisure cyclist and I started after watching Mark, he is such an inspiration
Wow....I never really looked at the “dad before the cyclist” before but respect to you Mark Cavendish! Chapeau on all levels Sir 👏👏👏

A good and family person...also a good coffee enthusiast 👍✌️
What a great insight into one of the best riders in the world.
Greatest sprinter of all time and a nice guy.
Casper Cavendish is a great stage name
Truely a legend and a great dad as well - great human 🙏
So heartwarming seeing them both on their bikes and Kudos to Mark for making the little stand.
A fridge with cans of monster in. Don't drink that utter junk kids 😱
Isn’t box hill in London? That’s more than 20 minute climb right?
maybe a 5 or 6 minutes, less for mark i guess - plus all the traffic getting there isn't fun
Yeah it's shorter than 10 mins even for a duffer like me
@@Janieluton duffers aren't out on bikes - you're just going at a respectable pace
@@iainstatham very kind of you haha
Hey Dylan. Box hill is in Surrey which is a little way from London with most likely horrible traffic on most days.
Can’t wait for the TDF, be cheering him on for that win!

the grafical design of strava is a joke in these times
You should maybe avoid criticizing other people's work when your spelling reveals you to be not that intelligent.
This kid don't age
Wish I could have met him outside of racing. Was alway a right ass when he was in the states for tour of California.
