The Pink R2 unit is R2-KT. It was made after the R2D2 builders club heard of a girl named Katie who was diagnosed with Brain cancer at the age of 7, and that "she wished she had a droid to look after her, like R2 did to Padme in episode II" in response they made R2-KT. A pink astromech droid based on her favourite color. It stood beside her bed in her final moments before she passed. George lucas also heard of the situation and sent her a personal video. R2-KT has since been featured in both the clone wars movie and series and in the force awakens. The real R2 KT is apparently still doing charity work in various hospitals. It was also a playable character in lego star wars: the force awakens, and hasbro released a limited edition figure of it, raising $100.000 dollars for the make a wish foundation. Edit: in some in universe portrayals it has been renamed QT-KT to avoid confusion with R2 D2.
R2-KT and QT-KT are two different droids. R2-KT was mostly white and had some pink accents, while QT-KT is about 60% pink. Both droids appeared in The Clone Wars. In the Clone Wars arc about the droid squad, R2-KT was meant to be one of the members of the squad, but I guess George Lucas, Dave Filoni, or whoever was writing those episodes didn't want to have two R2 droids in the squad, since they would both be called "Artoo". Basically, a new pink astromech was created, that was still sort of based on Katie, but the writers called her "Cutie Katie", or QT-KT. The droid in the set is QT-KT, not R2-KT.
I stand corrected for not believing the Dark Falcon set was going to be real until that trailer dropped a few weeks back. Super interesting set! I love getting stuff that's way outside the norm.
saw "droid factory" in the description and thought we were gonna get a really cool attack of the clones set... they really should have called it something else
Dev was created for the 1993 LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing. Although he does not appear in the game itself, he is mentioned in the briefing for the game's first X-wing training mission, "Dev's Sidestep," a recreation of his famous training run
Imagine if the stores received this "droid factory" pre order boards without the images... can't imagine how many would've been excited and disappointed thinking it was Attack of the Clones related... just a thought.
The Dark Falcon has to be lego's strangest choice for a set. It is essentially a meme set. But one that costs 180 dollars. For a Disney plus old style lego animated movie that looks like a meme movie. The set itself looks like one of those MOC builds at some lego convention. You know the kinds where they take a star wars vehicle and make others kinds of different themes. "And over here I made a dark side version of the Falcon"
People went nuts over the christmas xwing that exclusive to employees. Might not sell well with the random target shoppers stopping by the LEGO aisle, but I imagine most LEGO AFOLs will pick it up.
I’m usually on the opposite side of the Minifig complaints. Helmet holes or not enough I usually think it’s fine but totally agree on the Falcon this time around, 6 figures is fine if high quality but it feels like corners were cut.

Yo MandR, I was on your cousin’s baseball team in the game you were at like a week ago. I missed my chance to say hi but it was pretty cool to see you there!
I like that the X wing landing gear actually folds instead of being built into the bottom wings. The Tie fighter’s cockpit matching the bomber is cool, but kinda leaves the interceptor behind a bit but it was kinda bigger anyways
Lets be honest the figures in legos Star Wars have been declining and we knew this it’s sad but if they brought back the care they had from the early days we would be fine but now money drives worse quality unfortunately 😢
I've never had a Falcon before, so I'll grab this one. I think it works out, because if I ever want a normal Falcon I'd get the impressive UCS version instead of the scaled-down set
Question….people always go back to older sets and piece count/mini fig count to compare and justify prices…so the 2 ship set is 15 dollars more but 2 less mini figures so is said to not be worth it value wise.. but do we consider inflation when it comes to legos? Look at the price of grocery’s or fast food and compare to 2019,2020. Just curious
I love the kid is named greibling. That word actually came out of the Star Wars model shop when they were making the models, and has persisted as a term for model making in general. It means adding tiny random little details to make the model look more interesting and interesting and less like a small scale model. Like all the pipes and grills and stuff on the outside rim of the millenium falcon.

You should make a comparison to the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon - 75212 vs. The Dark Falcon.
I really wish the leaks were accurate on that one. Getting buildable creatures would've been so much more appealing. Something like Porgs, Babu Frick, Ewoks, or Loth-Cats My dream would've been the three Geonosis Arena creatures...
6:16 Yes you have a point, but all of the minifigures in the new set are exclusive to that set, so I see no reason to be complaining! And the 7th character in the episode 9 millennium falcon is a single piece so again, I see no reason to complain!
Hoh man, the Dark Falcon is extremely cool. That said their pricing is pretty crazy with some of these, like the droids for $100, DuckBricks reviewed that $90 Ninjago Vehicle set too which he said was at least $30 overpriced. I hope they chill out a bit lol.
It is me or does windscreen on the Tie Fighter looks like it's from the Tie Bomber. Also, does it make sense if they swap out the wings, from the X-Wing with the Tie Fighter? The X-Wing wouldn't be able to fly when the engines is literality. lol
Choosing to make the landing gear on that X-Wing feels like a bit of a cop out to me. Like I understand it’s so you can display it with the s-foils in the open position engaging with the tie fighter and that is pretty neat, but it’s one of those situations that remind you they could have added a little basic stand and designed the landing gear at a proper size
What we really need is a UCS Rebel Alliance fighter pack(X-Wing Fighter, Y-wing fighter,A-wing fighter,B-wing fighter,Poe Dameron's X-Wing Fighter)and a Imperial TIE Fighter primary fighters six pack( TIE Fighter,TIE bomber,TIE interceptor,TIE striker, First Order TIE Fighter) I know this will be extremely pricey, but you get five 1,000+piece kits. I don't know how to get in touch with Lego to ask about this idea?
GIMME!!! These look AWESOME!!! The minifigs look INSANE!! Jedi Vader looks sick!! The Sith minifigs look awesome! Darth Jar-Jar, Rey, and Dev(?) look so cool! Evil/Bounty Hunter C-3PO looks cool! And, I can't wait for "Rebuild the Galaxy"! Its so cool and interesting, and whats extra cool, is the fact that it comes out on my birthday!! R2-KT's in the Droid Factory set, cool! Shes cute! I only know of Chopper from Ahsoka (don't judge me!), but Chop is pretty cute here!
Being honest, I’m kinda confused on why the rebuild the galaxy trailer shows the X-wing’s wings and tie fighter co-pit from the 2021 sets if they were going to make some changes to the new x-wing and tie fighter unless there are plans to change that for the official episodes of RTG
I feel like Darth Jar Jar is going to be one of those figures that either sells for pre-rerelease captain rex prices or just middles around prices of under 100. It'll definitely have some value on it's own due to, well, *Darth Jar Jar* but that's ALL it has. I doubt it will have the staying power Captain Rex had. Now that being said I plan on buying it too, at least it isn't the price of the Venator.
The dark falcon is neat and it is giving us fans something different that we normally wouldn’t get in any other set. But I wish we could’ve gotten an MTT instead of this set, $160 for an MTT would’ve been a decent price point and probably would’ve made a great set at that price.
With how Lego has downsized some ships in recent years, I feel like the dark falcon would’ve worked very well if smaller. Since it’s specialized, you don’t need to have the full falcon interior or features that people would want in the regular OT or ST falcon sets
the decreased figure count on the dark falcon doesn't really bother me since they all exclusive new figures ontop of being more desirable than the current falcon with basic R2D2 C3PO and finn aswell
I feel like if we ever did get the printed on blue milk it would devalue the blue milk Luke because right now that is the only set with a printed on blue milk.

Personally i think the droid set is worth the price. Each on for $25 bucks doesn't sound to bad, the x wing and tie set is neat but the lest likely for me to use. The dark falcon set is really cool and you can see some added pieces on the prongs at the front just under the lip of the top of the falcon and the dish that is now a mini deathstar gun. A few more small bits on the outside and probably more inside.
Hmm..wonder if that droid builder set has some alternative builds we don''t see. For example, wonder if there would be a way to combine them all into some uber mech, like Volton or Transformers combiners.

We get 2 mini figures for a $300 UCS set, no mini figures for $100 mini falcon set, I’m not sure why there’s a problem with 5 figures for the dark falcon set as these are 1 of a kind mini figures, being a relatively expensive set only adds value to the mini figures, to me that’s a no brainer, Lego knows they will one day be worth a pretty penny , this is a great collectors set, nothing wrong with only 5 figures.
It's a very strange choice for a 180 dollar set. Looks like one of those MOC sets at a Lego convention where they take a star wars vehicle and make it look like a different theme. Would you buy one of those?
I mean, I didn't even buy the ghost. Why would I buy this. It's all fan fic at this point anyway. My nephew likes the Mario bros. sets. My grandson isn't even 3 yo yet. Minifigs just isn't enough to get me to throw money at Star Wars anymore.
saying the 2019 falcon had 7 minifigures is a bit of a stretch considering the "7th Minifigure" is D-0, not to say that the Dark Falcon couldn't have had another figure, but still

I have that exact display case right behind you! They get kinda dusty inside tho over time unfortunately
saying the 2019 falcon had 7 minifigures is a bit of a stretch considering the "7th Minifigure" is D-0, not to say that the Dark Falcon couldn't have had another figure, but still
Will they ever make a TIE fighter the size of the 2018 one ever again??????? 😢
R2-q5 was always my favorite, the black and orange looks nice
real, only one that I thinks tops him for me is the black and silver one, so good
