You couldn't be more wrong on noise level in the cab. Just this weekend I test drove every HVAC cab UTV. Kawasaki Ridge had the lowest cab noise by a large margin. Additionally, this 4 cylinder engine is rubber mounted for less vibration and lower noise decibels. 4 cylinder engines also deliver more reliability, more torque, and more miles than any Vtwin could ever dream of.

Homie your comment just sold this machine to me . I was going to purchase the defender hd9 as I have the Outlander and wanting to stay can am family but having 2 kx And Kdx's in my much younger years that were indestructible and as I mentioned , your post lifting a huge weight from my mind . That would suit my property size and daily four season driver needs . Thanks From Manitoba Canada . Well you too Luke and Dirt Trax TV team and Fam .

I have to disagree there. I have a 24 Defender Limited. A friend just bought a Ridge hvac. At trail speeds, 35-50 mph the Ridge is much louder. That said, if I hadn't just bought my defender before these were released, I probably would have gone with the Kawi. Better suspension, more power and 3x the warranty!

Ya amazing machine, but do the homework. Any sustained speed above 40mph will destroy the cvt… Long term will prove if that is true or not. But for $30k plus I’m torn myself… 3 year warranty is nice until I have to deal with the warranty nonsense…

I think it is supposed to compete with the Polaris Xpedition but falls a little short. I had money down on one before they were released but it didn’t check all the boxes for me. I h more wanted a KRX with an hvac cab system. In the end to each their own. Great video.

Thank you! I've spent enough time in this machine and apart from the bucket seats, I'd classify this thing in the same category as a Ranger Northstar. It is a utility sport UTV with bucket seats. Happens to have a 4-cyl that makes 116 HP vs the 82 HP ProStar twin, but I'd love to drag race the two to see how that difference in power hits the ground.

I’ve sat in this model at a dealer and the seats are comfortable, I’d stay away from the can am defender because my uncle bought the 2025 limited and the quality is terrible for the money. I’d go Polaris ranger or the ridge definitely

I absolutely agree with everything. It's in it's own class which can be very good but the engine is a drawback. This class is better with a torquey motor not something reving to the moon. maybe the defender and ranger should be available with bucket seats.. a defender xtp

I drive multiple Ridge models everyday, and while the cab is nice and feels roomier than a Ranger, the things are too jerky when you have to do low speed driving, even in work mode.

A twin has ZERO advantage over an inline 4.

    • @dirttraxtv

Disagree. This engine is torquey, but takes forever to get up to speed. It is also much heavier than a twin. To be honest, this engine has very little advantage over a twin.
