    Also for 2024 YXZ 1000R, the GYTR turbo kit from Yamaha racing is bolt up. 60% more horsepower for those who want more power.

    Im in a 2016 with 6000 miles now. When everyone said "that'll never work on the east coast" I still break hearts today. The chassis may fall flat in the whoops but fast fire roads and logging roads it still reigns supreme in the NA 64" class.

    I wish Yamaha would put that transmission in a Rmax. I like my Rmax but with that transmission, I think it would be the best side by side you could buy.

    Agreed, a makeover that includes a bump in torque predominately and power, a chassis that’s even more capable and versatile and some tech upgrades for convenience and usability and perhaps more inbuilt storage options for weekend style trail riding. They’ve got the drivetrain reasonably fettled, they just need to give move of a model change style update. Same goes for their four wheeler line up, seriously overdue.

      Also, new for 2024, the GYTR turbo kit from Yamaha racing is bolt up 60% more power. You could add turbo and long travel kit, but at that point you would be close to the cost of a Maverick R.

    I am looking at these pretty hard to run in the Texas TX4 cross country races. Other competitors are telling me the 64” width is perfect and much less expensive than a maverick R (the only other six’s with dual clutch paddle shifters). Plus, other competitors tell me the courses are cut so the extra power of a Maverick really can’t not be utilized. One of the top drivers is in a Polaris Pro XP. Not sure that all the suspension travel of a Polaris is necessary for what I want to do. I mean 16” travel is more than a dirt bike. LOL I have seen most of the footage of the TX4 races and I really think the suspension travel of the YXZ 1000R is ample enough for my use. Hard to decide between 1000R and 1000R SS. I think the manual clutch model would double as a rally car trainer. Paddle shifters with electronic dual clutch would be just as fun. Clutch kick may be the only skill you could not train on with the SS. The two auto modes would allow anyone to drive it a SS model. My son would want the foot clutch hands down! LOL

    Fro a driveability or performance standpoint , what is the difference between this and a DCT ?

    • @ericlessard5021
      @ericlessard5021 2 месяца назад

      Dct shift faster

    • @jadebylund7061
      @jadebylund7061 2 месяца назад

      DCT stands for dual clutch transmission. Yamaha does not use a DCT in the yxz. It uses a traditional single clutch with an auto-manual mode. Basically it will engage the clutch shift the gear and let the clutch back out automatically. DCTs complete shifts faster than a traditional clutch.
      Many performance cars use DCTs.
