I have owned the ridge Xr for 3 months. Looked at and tried polaris rangers, expedition and can am defender before making my choice. This one is one hell of a machine and checked all the boxes. Time and time again it has not let me down through various trials. Would highly recommend. It's the perfect mix for a great time.
It doesn’t have sway bars is why it feels tippy. Nice to see a Japanese brand step up and offer HVAC to people who want it. Maybe it will persuade Honda and Yamaha to bring something to market.
Another thorough review that's very much appreciated. It's nice to hear about the great aspects of the machine along with the not so great. I think anyone interested in buying one of these will appreciate the honesty. I was impressed with the acceleration too.
Test drove one today. Appears to be a solid machine...but...driving it at 25-30 mph in high, it revved at 6,000+ rpms and the cab noise was uncomfortably LOUD!! just like the KRX 1000!
I agree. Should have, at least, the same amount of subs as the main channel. This is an excellent channel and Steven is a great fella. His entire family are great people you can just tell…. Excellent reviewers as well. I totally agree with you and have always felt this channel should be subbed to the max! they’ll get there though. With content like this they’ll get the subs.
Thanks for the excellent review. This looks like a great machine, a bit pricey perhaps. For the person that spends long hours in the seat in all kinds of weather, this would be the ticket.
Love your reviews! The Ridge needs to be quieted down and have some minor issues tweaked for next year. Also, this machine NEEDS arched A-arms from the factory. No reason to have the straight ones…. Also, the wiper should be mounted at the top of the window. From the bottom it doesn’t clean in front of the driver and passengers face as good was one mounted at the top does!
The Wiper definitely should be mounted at the top. The only other issue is the doors are too soft. Causing them to warp and scratch to easy. Other then that it's a sweet machine. I plan on insulating my cab to isolate the noise down a bit in the higher rpm.
Just dumb having a four cylinder in this machine… Same with cf motos I force 3 cylinder.. First off it sounds like a Toyota celica, second they wind roms to the moon just to get anywhere.. Can am and Polaris have it right with the twin and inline twin.. Lower end grunt and sound superb..
I Currently own a ridge XR about a month now let me tell you this is no old man buggy it's f/ing fast but for SxS Quiet and comfortable, not to mention hvac and by the way I also have a Supercharged KRX on 35 a beast of a machine this ridge would have smoked my stock krx on a drag ( no turns ) lol but I will say if u want to call it a old man buggy I'll take that because so far I luv it for different reasons I can have a conversation in it. It's comfortable It's quiet under normal writing. I don't get wet hot or cold, so yeah, I'll take the old man buggy
tooo much own opinion...if you want to have more air-fun...open the window..or have a polaris where you can lift the frontwindshield...more easy powersteering is great when your frontwheels have to fight resistance...they listen to customers
As soon as a 4-6 seater ridge comes out I'll be the first to buy one

10k subs! 100k soon! You should continue to advertise this channel on the main channel as many not be aware of it.

Thanks guys.
The horsepower for that model is higher than what you stated. Great video though. I love your channel. 👍🇨🇦

Good video, thanks for all your effort putting out great content. 😎👍👍
You should get a North Star and do a head to head if you can
XR 4 seat with the upgraded horsepower may be a competitor to the Polaris. Can't wait to order when they are available.

@@robbiebennett3644 you have one??? Which model???
Japanese quality is worth more than polaris over time you'll find out...
Amen!
You speak the real truth sir.
No doubt!
Smartest comment ever. Polaris is crap big time and the almighty can am ppl go crazy over are the same pile of crap.
Not sure flat out at redline is advisable with the fuel tank empty and the fuel light blinking. A good way to melt a piston.
Never heard of it. My gas light has been on a million times too
Do you think you could quiet it down with a weight change in the clutch?
I sometimes forget about your other channel. Power sports. Maybe remind us on ur main channel?
Is there a turf mode ?
How does it ride vs. a Jeep Wrangler or a 4 runner off road?
Xr model is 116hp
Hunting rig?
Hell, give me the top of the line Ridge at the Fred Flintstone model price!
they are running huge incentives. Picked up a limited hvac for 25k brand new

Great sxs for old people who want to ride on the trails at 20mph. Not knocking it, just being real.
You are so wrong I had a Polaris xp 1000 and now I own Kawasaki ranch and it will flat out smoke a Polaris omg almost to fast
@@Brorlrthis it's fast af love mine

Wow, complaining about a luxury utv, not being fun. 😅.
Ummmm it’s their “sportier” model - the XR. Not exactly a “luxury” unit….

HVAC lol
Meh, I don't like the Drone sounding motor. Acceleration is lax. Price, Hell no. A good used jeep is better.
Well until jeeps are allowed on utv trails the jeep can't be used on most trails.
