I have the silver version, and I've been very happy with its performance - especially the front USB drive. I connected the M300 mkII DAC just to see if I could hear an improvement. Its now permanently connected 👍
I've got this set up an I've got 2 big soundlab speakers connected to it an tbh with the music I listen to like 4x4 bassline drum n bass dubstep etc the sound quality is spot on the amp powers my speakers well can't fault it
I thought about the Marantz CD 6007 and ended up opting for the Denon DCD-1600NE. I fell for the up-sampling 192 kHz/32 bit DAC and the SACD playing capability. Your setup sounds good and it reminded me had I not gone for the Denon, its price point would have covered the Marantz integrated amp too. So, I am not sure whether I made the right decision afterall.
As long as you are happy with the sound you are hearing then have no regrets. It doesn't matter how good a system you have, there will always be better out there. The speakers in the video has a big part in the sound.. The Harbeth speakers are sublime.
Great sound and even on my cell phone I can feel the difference. Purity at its peak. Would you please mention the make and model of all the gear that you are using.

I use the PM6006 together with a pair of Traingle Borea BR03 and they are an excellent match! (Only digital sources as of now, but I will probably get a turn table in the near future) I tip my hat to Marantz, the amp is a real wonder for the price! #twothumbsup
I have to say, modern amps in my opinion are much more accomplished than thier vintage equivalent. When you decide to get a Turntable, do consider vintage too though.

Hi, thanks for watching. I have not listened to the 6007, so I cannot make a comparison. However, the 6006 UK edition was turned to suit British Tastes - whatever that means..? But I can tell you the 6006 UK Edition sounded big and impactful. Lots of bass and possibly a hint of elevated mid-band. The treble again possibly sounded a little too hot.. but then these are all elements which help to push a dynamic sound presentation. I would hope the 6007 still retains these qualities whilst being slightly more rounded in it's sound.
There's a vid on here with a chap mentioning a buzz or hum from this amp. TDCATEC I think his yt name. Did you get the same issue? His was the UK 🇬🇧 edition too.

Hi, This CD player does include a decent headphone amp with volume control. However, my advice is to try it with our headphones before you buy. Or, buy the CD player anyway because it’s a stunning player and if you need to buy a separate amp, it’s definitely worth it.
It looks as though I’m going to buy the CD player and Amp in a couple of weeks.I think it makes sense to choose one manufacturer of possible.Except for my turntable a Project Debut Carbon.I like radio also and FM is going to disappear eventually.Would tve Marantz streamer in the series be a good choice,or is there something better suited.I listen to vinyl,cd’s and radio and I have an IPod Classic,2 actually.Your advice would be very much appreciated here.

@@pedrogomezalbizuri2956 hi, I don't believe it will make much of a difference as the DAC in the amplifier and CD player are the same. The only change would be the isolation from electrical interferences. I believe the CD player isn't is built well enough to keep distortion to a minimum.

Personally for the price they are offering it at for both, I would pay a little more for the latest editions. Or, my opinion the CD Player is a keeper and I would try to get a good price for that and then hold out for a different amp.

I don't know about the amp's headphone out, but the CD's headphone out sounds very good. There's also three baseline levels of gain, so you can power pretty much any headphone.
Hi, the LX2 speakers are quite bassy and "warm" sounding speakers. The Marantz amp is in my opinion has the bass dialed up slightly. I would suggest that this combination may be a bit too much in terms bass and could potentially muddy the sound. Certainly, these components are not neutral sounding. The Cd player however, is the star performer here.
B ANANNA hi there, I personally prefer the Marantz sound over Audiolabs in my experience. However, this is down to personal taste and also equipment matching. The Marantz offers a livelier sound and digs deeper in the bass, although at times I feel the bass was a bit too overbearing. I find Audiolab’s sound to be a bit more polite and offers better overall balance, I think Audiolabs has slightly more control at higher volumes. Tannoy speakers can sound bright so the audiolab is possibly a better match.

Sounds like a stereo recorded with a camera.. I hear the PM6006 has issues with noise on the digital input. There are multiple posts regarding this problem, for both the UK edition as well as the US edition. This amp was on my list for consideration until I read these accounts and others of quality issues with these. Curious to see if you have had the same experience.

I also have heard about this issue with noise on the the digital input, fortunately I didn't not have that problem with mine, although that does not rule the reported issue with this model. What I can say is that it is a fabulous amplifier and if you can get it for around £250 new. Then that is a bargain.

Yes there seems to be known issues with the Marantz amp, again this isn't surprising as it's built to a tight budget. @@toniospiteri1455 it's not just about wattage power handling. You also have to consider Sensitivity, how easy or difficult it is to drive speakers. The simplest answer is your amplifier will drive most speakers sufficiently enough, it has plenty of power. Also you are safe to conne t speakers that have a lower power handling, for example a 25 watt speaker is safe. The amplifier will not overload the speakers. As I say, 190watts is plenty and if I had to give you a figure of maximum speaker power handling, then speakers rated 300watts will still run well on your amplifier.

PM6006 has no trouble driving seinnhaisers hd6xx with 300ohm impedance. Even on half volume it's hurting my ears.
