I miss Molly, but I fucking love Caduceus.

Especially because Taliesin was the first to even notice the Ruby’s reaction to Jester’s description. Such good roleplay.
It kinda reminds of the time Molly was so flabbergasted when he realized that one guy was a fiend.

Oh my god matt is actually the slickest dm I have ever seen. If you watch when he says "you're quite the gentleman" you can tell he knew exactly what he was doing. I aspire to be a tenth of the dm he is my god.

Matt admitted that he didn't expect them to start this conversation, and that he planned the reveal for much later, after they got to know The Gentleman way better.

The more hype things get, the more Marisha turns into Professor Thaddeus and perches on her chair. I can't wait for the day she climbs onto the table itself.
Its funny that everyone has their version of that. Travis retreats into his shirt. Liam leans back into nothing. Sam will bite his thumbs. Tal tends to lean into someone. Its like they are Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney characters with their own "breakdown" animation.
That will probably be when she learns that she's adopted, her real father is the Gantleman, she and Jester are half sisters and they have to kill the Gentleman. Or something like that :D

Molly's card is very terrifyingly accurate given the context of this conversation if this turns out to be true. albeit the card read itself was early.
Arguably, the "clue" she had apparently already found was Beau. Beau, who later stole the letter that led them to the Gentleman. Beau, who later still got the password to the Evening Nip from that webbed-up thug in the sewers of Zadash (post-blink spider encounter). Beau, whom Jester had known for all of a day by that point.
Such is the power of carny bullshit.
EDIT: AHHH IT GOES DEEPER! BEAU WAS THE ONE WHO CRACKED THE JOKE ABOUT THE GENTLEMAN, THAT LED JESTER TO ASK HER MOM AHHHH!

I think Molly knows a little bit of everybody's backgrounds which might explain why his tarot reading are somewhat "accurate". Or maybe Taliesin is just fucking with us because he's an ascended god and he could might as well fuck with us.
It's almost like the Dm takes player details and turns it into the story line

He felt like he had some level of gift with them, which is why he valued them so much.

He mentioned at the end of the episode that it was supposed to be a late-game reveal. I suspect it was a slip of the tongue on his part (as well as being something Mistress Lavore would say in context).
Actually no, matt says himself at the very end of the episode it was literally an off hand comment about fjord being polite, that happened to lead to the right questions. This was originally apparently a later game reveal.

My favourite thing about this is just the image of classy and reserved Marion having to deal with this massive revelation and a bunch of hyperkinetic, heavily armed, extremely over-enthusiastic teens/twenty-somethings freaking out about her decades old romance.
That and watching Marisha's reactions to all this. She still has my favourite facial expression journeys of the entire cast. You can see her every reaction and thought on her face like a flickerbook. :D

In older editions, it was possible to perform all kinds of divination spells if you had a pinch of someone's hair, an amount of their skin, some of their spit, or finger-nails, or their blood. Nott doesn't know the particulars, but was probably trying to suggest Marianne try some magic on the spit. Except, the Ruby of the Sea isn't a magic user, beyond her base tiefling abilities.

I have watched this scene like ten times since first watching the campaign at the beginning of Quarantine and every time it gets funnier and funnier. Watching Travis, Sam and Marisha clue on really fast and even Taliesin though he plays it off like he doesn't for the sake of rping Cad. Laura's acting is the funniest of all. Poor Jester. What a way to find out this information!
