    I still don't understand how not one of these "heroes" thought it was grossly irresponsible to destroy an airport.

    1:16 Because the fall out of the Avengers not interfering would have been astronomically worse. Could the heroes stand to be more careful? Yes. But for some reason, Civil War pretends that the Avengers are reckless idiots only focused on beating the bad guy and that isn't true. Safeguards with oversight was what Steve wanted, he wasn't being arrogant or self-righteous about it like people like to believe. And taking away the rights of enhanced humans (which is what the Accords do) was not safeguards with oversight, it was a violation of the Constitution as well as the Geneva Convention (in Bucky's case) and others
