    I know many people who choose to switch to the 7th gen just because of looks and how the newer or rather the 8th and 9th gen’s were too much of an uncles car. This new version has most of my friends attention. They like the sporty look of the car and how it handles. Ofcourse, id have the Mazda 6 😅

      I think the accord is doing good this round, it has the best safety features between all D segment. I believe safety features is one of the most critical aspects nowadays. I think Pussat is the worse among them and even Camry does not equip with a complete set of ACC.

    • @aeroline11
      @aeroline11 4 года назад +2

      @@CLo-qp7uq Do you really think without active safety is like end of world? Let me share with you what I encountered with the so called advance safety feature the AEB.
      When I try to cut out from middle to right lane, I gave more throttle while turning and overtaking (don't tell me we should leave at least a car distance before cutting out as 99% people not doing so). At that point of time the AEB sense too close to the car in front of me (in middle lane) and my car JAM BRAKE itself. At this moment the right lane car from behind stunned as I am blocking the middle and right lane at very slow speed. They gonna jam brake for me if not will bang on my car. Another incident the car in front of me run very slow and my car approaching fast and close, AEB should work on that time but unfortunately it didn't work. When I realise it was too late even though I press the brake hardly, my car still kiss the front vehicle. So don't expect AEB will work all time. FYI my car is using radar based AEB which has higher accuracy than perodua camera based.

    • @aeroline11
      @aeroline11 4 года назад

      @@CLo-qp7uq beside the ACC usefully only in highway but sometimes it is annoying too. In high speed no matter how close we set the ACC if above 100km/h the car will keep at least almost 3 cars distance. Typical Malaysia driver when there is a gap of "3 cars" there are always got hero slot in the middle of 2 cars. If AEB working the car will jam brake as it sense a vehicle in front of us too close. If AEB unable to work on time and driver didn't notice, an accident is expected to happen.
      Unless Malaysian change their driving behavior if not we will have to keep monitor the ACC and AEB.

    D segment pros and cons
    1. Camry - Built quality, reliable ride, slowest, old powertrain
    2. Accord - Super spacious, full safety features, boring interior, poor finishing (big gap)
    3. Mazda 6 - Premium interior, sporty design, poor space, most expensive
    4. Passat - Powerful, digital cockpit with high res infotainment, lack of active safety features, uncertain after sales service
    Ride and handling is really subjective, there are people like Mazda 6 with it solid ride doing great in taking corner. Some like Passat firmer ride to give genuine German feel where some like Camry with its compromise comfort while good handling with new chassis. No clue on Honda but as usual Honda is capable to takes sharp corner without hesitate.

    The reason Camry and Accord prices shoot up mainly attributed by extremely strong Thai Baht. In past 10 years Baht increase 30%, while Euro is only 11% raised. Honda and Toyota cars mostly from Thailand and German car mostly direct from Europe (CKD parts mostly from Europe). The currency exchange has benefited to European car and weaken the Japanese car.
    Just like others said nearly 200k might as well top up a bit to get the C Class or 320i (both pre reg is about 220k). Or maybe buy the pre reg Passat Elegance at price of 160k, save up 30k++.

    9:00 - Vocals/Center speaker. It sounds like the system is in some sort of Surround mode. review the owners manual and see if there's way to turn off surround, go back to regular left-right stereo.
    16:15 - Steering: Light and direct because #1. giant, wide wagon wheels they put on the cars nowadays, 'low profile' tires. Vague - becuase it's electric! Cold tire pressure(before car is driven) should be no higher than 2.3 Bar (33psi). Any higher, and I've found that steering becomes like driving on ICE!
    I will try to buy and drive 2012 or earlier Accords for as long as possible, with their heavier conventional steering.

      Only those light footer can achieve this figure with 90% highway drive. The best I ever did on my Passat is nearly 700km but I am heavy footer.

    the speakers in the accord are actually not that bad really.... your ears are just too "rich" to appreciate the speakers from a "D-segment" sedan...

    D segment are dying. I barely see the new Camry on the road. B and C segment conquering the road. SUV is killing the D segments.

      this is so true. Camry still using 2.5 engine to get the same power as 1.5t engine. But definitely SUV is good market now. Even a Recon MPV win D-segmen

    Even though i love Honda and I owned a full options 2004 Honda Accord back on 2004, however, I don't think I will own a new Honda, at least in the near future. A car for this price (155K SAR in Saudi Arabia) still has outdated features, such lights. I mean how much would it cost Honda to add LED lighting to the interior?, not to mention the cheap plastic......Sorry Honda, no buy in,,,,

    Noted on your review....very sorry but the 2020 honda accord,with its features and price point, is underwhelming....and cvt trans 1.5 T combo being fun and honda improved NVH....somehow dont think it is a convincing package....moreover....very very disappointed that Honda Malaysia did not bring in the 2.0 T with 10 speed auto version....absolutely pissed

      If bring in 2.0T with 10AT the price definitely at RM 220-230k, how many people will take Accord over the 320i and C200? 320i and C200 pre reg is selling at RM220k and BMW is giving 5 years or 100k km free schedule services too. Isn't that more attractive than buying an Accord?

    Whoever buys this instead of a Passat/Camry or top up a little for a 320i/C200/Arteon is either a Honda fanboy or brain dead.
