I am from India .I watch lot of Indian automobile RUclips channel.. but I must say you are coolest and most impressive guy I have ever seen doing a review of automotive industry. You nailed it brother.
I have a 2018 Accord Sport here in the U.S., has just enough luxuries to make it very comfortable and I love it. 1.5L 4 cylinder turbo and when you put it into sport mode and that turbo kicks in it will put you back into your seat. Here in the U.S. and I would imagine around the world car makers are getting away from 6 cylinder cars and going 4, for fuel efficiency that makes sense plus people are going the SUV route.
2.0 Liters engine displacement used to be the norm for Accords and Camrys, then came the 2.2, 2.4, 3.0 V6 and 3.5 V6s... now looks like its going to be 1.5 turbo... probably due to stricter euro and US requirements for better fuel economy (fleet average) and for cleaner emissions.
Pretty disappointed with HCPI for not bringing the 2.0 engine. With this stiff pricing, the mazda 6 diesel and petrol variant offers more value pound for pound. 1.5 engine translates to less road taxes so the price is not really justified if you think about it.
And yes, as everyone in the comments say, we all LOVVVVE your reviews. Pls come up with a midsize head to head comparo and we want everyone in that- accord, camry, altima, optima, 6, sonata, and even the americans
1.5L for PhP2M? And a CVT on turbo to boot? How long can the engine last under such pressure? Does the car feel underpowered when driving? I find Caco's exposes highly entertaining though.
@Francis Pulanco it will increase the price significantly.. and people will have a no brainer choice in comparing the two top of the line variants.. pro maganda din tlga ang may option na 2.5L khit di ko na afford.. but to be totally honest with you, 155hp and 200nm of torque is already enough (at least for me).. it has the same power with the subaru XV and forester which are a lot bigger than the mazda 3.. or is subaru the one who is underpowered?🤔
Oh no. It's a cvt. There goes honda's reliability.. I want to own a accord or crv. Pero dahil sa cvt, and what about the oil dilution problem 2016/17 and up earth nightmare engines na solve na ba? I guess sa early models nalang with conventional AT not that unreliable cvts.
I really don't know why some Filipinos call mid-size sedans like the Accord, Altima, 6, and Camry luxury cars when they are priced the same as popular mid-size SUVs like the Fortuner and Montero. My tito owns a 2011 model and its no luxury at all.
@@kawigwapo Not really. I am seeing a lot of cars above the 2 million peso price point lately (especially the Explorer, Grand Carnival, Alphard, and Hiace Super Grandia). Maybe people think owning an SUV or a van could be more practical because of the high ground clearance or passenger capacity or both.
Because they are priced like luxury cars here and in other SEA countries, even if they are normal cars in the US. Isipin natin, P2.3m yan dito (~$45k). Price niya sa US? Per Edmunds, the FULLY-LOADED, 2.0T one is $36,100 (~P1.8m). Not just in the Philippines, but I've been to Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, at kahit sa kanila akala eh mga mid-size sedans ay executive sedans dahil sa pricing.
I think the performance of civic rs is enough... considering the design and fun to drive factor.. This accord however was for status only. The name attached to it.
CVT and 1.5 engine automatically cancelled this off my choices. Should have offered their 2.0 turbo and i'll take a 6 speed transmission over CVT anyday.
They thought that having a turbo in a small engine will do the work just fine.. i am just not that into small displacemrny turbos that much, i think there are a lot of repairs in the future.. i might be wrong though

Finally, a car with adaptive cruise control that works down to a stop. An extremely useful feature in this country's traffic.
now lets move to the comment section to see what experts says. basta ako wala akong pambili nyan.

If you are shopping for a car right now, u might want to include the mazda 6 2.5L turbo in that list👌
Korek and Mazda is not CVT so Mazda for the win
I agree with the inclusion of Mazda in the comparo video but I don't agree that I'm shopping for a car. 🤣
Wala pa akong pambili. 🤣

The Mazda 6 is really the best in performance among the three but its turbocharged. Engine will wear out faster. :((

Hope you guys do a demo of honda sensing and show us more of the car’s other quirks and features.

I really hope Mr. Caco would make a comparo. Accord, Camry, Mazda6
So basically a bigger, more luxurious and less sporty civic. Love it!
I guess they're not selling the 2 L turbo in this country.
Its in the philippines, because gasoline here is so expensive
Honda Thailand factory currently does not produce 2.0 liter engine variants for the new-gen Accord.
My dream car 😍 Ang pangarap ko kailan kaya😅
Please make a review for BMW Z4... thanks
Honda really perfected Sedans.

Fuel consumption of 7.4 km/L (city)?! I think that isn't normal for a mid size sedan, isn't it?
It's very good for a mid-size in PHILIPPINE-city driving

CVT and 1.5 engine automatically cancelled this off my choices.
Should have offered their 2.0 turbo and i'll take a 6 speed transmission over CVT anyday.
I think this is a gamble for Honda, putting in a 1.5Liter on supposedly a v6 laden segment...

Nope, yung 2.5L segment nilagyan nila ng 1.5T. Yung v6 segment, may 2.0T sila pero di na-release dito.
Yo editing team, what's up with the color grading? Why so gloomy?
