My favorite part about this game is how in depth each aspect of it can get. Ship building is one thing. Outpost design is another. Beautifully executed thank you so much for sharing.
Agreed def seen the thought into everything. Just curious if anybody knows if you assign crew to the outpost, will they be able to access the extension Habs or if the railing prevents that from happening?
What there really needs to be is a spot on the landing pad where you could snap together all of that, who actually wants to build a base any other way than like in this vedio
You mean No man's sky?😂 Seriously this is what dissapoints me so much, the inspiration was there but they just have a skill issue where they can't achieve things others have done years ago.
Compact, homely, functional. It's exactly what you'd expect from a small outpost made with limited resources. Built with ingenuity and thoughtful planning, nice job man.
The way you use objects for things they weren't really intended is top notch. Gave me quite a few good ideas that i probably would have never thought of.
Now this is some quality stuff. You have shown us some real useful knowledge and ingenuity in your videos. One of the best tips and tricks for Starfield on RUclips.
Your build inspired me to do some testing, and I found you can place the airlock around the edge of the pad, not the stairs, and place it so close you can step-off straight to the airlock without any railing. There will also be no stairs below that airlock, so it looks like it's attached to the landing pad. There will be a minor gap, but it's not really noticeable. Only issue I had was getting the height just right where I could walk into the airlock or pad without clipping on the edge and having to jump over it.
Looks awesome. I’d honestly say of the many Starfield content I’ve watched in total, this is by far the best player decorated space of any kind I’ve seen in Starfield. You’re using everything the game offers to decorate your Outpost. That’s the essence of player housing and given all the tools to decorate the space. It’s then up to player creativity to decorate it or not. Awesome man!
I am definitely not the creative type, so seeing cool videos like this gives me all kinds of inspiration. I love lining up the airlock with the level of the landing pad, and just the general 'lived in' feel to it.
I spent several hundred hours building settlements in FO4, but so far I lacked creativity for Outposts in Starfield. This video was really inspiring me on different workarounds to get some amazing builds and designs! Keep it going, you earned a new subscriber :)
Gorgeous. I did an entire playthrough without dabbling in base building but after watching this I'm definitely going to give it a go on a NG+ file. Loved base building in FO4, kept me coming back years after the fact
you've added a whole new concept of outposts for me. I've done little with mine, just looking for functionality. You've made outposts more of a game than a task now. Thanks!
Well done, sir. That's what this game module is about, not just farming XP. I can only imagine what great things you will be showing on this channel as Bethesda improves the editor and mods start adding more elements and possibilities. I'm looking forward to this day.
Nice! You can also move that white hab and delete it to have an open space under your clear hab. If you just delete it without moving it first it will add a support structure underneath. Also I wish they had clear extender halls. If we can have clear habs we should be able to have clear halls as well.
You're a legend for this. Im almost expecting Bethesda to see that you're being creative in a way they did not intend and patch this out somehow. I built my outpost with a view of the pyramids. The sky is so beautiful without a magnetisphere..
Amazing build. Great to see this. Ive been doing kinda same thing with airlock where your halls are on pad the rail removes and make a landing with rug.
Brilliant build! Very immersive and well thought out. Your decorating is on point. Bravo. Def an inspiration for building near and on top of the landing pad. That's been driving me crazy to not be able to at least build on the edges. The large landing pad takes up SO much real estate at your outpost, so making it the focal point and building off of it is very smart.
I am really impressed with the time and effort that you put into this. I wish I had the patience to do this myself. It looks like it belongs in the game. Great work!!
I screwed around with the outpost builder but thought it was just too limited in items to make it worth my time. You changed that. Great building my friend, I'm going to have to give it another go now.
You have shown me how to make outpost building fun/cool i also love how you made everything look like it was pre-furnished, definitely got inspired by this
This looks incredible man. Very well made, and well optimized, but equally feels extremely organic, lived in and authentic. Could easily believe this was always there as just a random outpost in the game itself to stumble upon. Liked and subscribed.
That’s pretty cool! I use the hallway habs to make a restroom off the back of the habs. Toilet, sink, towels, TP and a wall light will fit and it really does fell like it was meant to be. Also they make decent small bedrooms that a bunk and small table fit. It helps break up the layout too
Wow talk about pleasant surprises.... Game overall I'm into for almost 500 hours.... a lot of that time is spent making new ships and tying to improve base design and functionality... Most youtubers covering starfield are pretty much recycled content and you find the odd 'little' tip every so often you had not fully explored... Placing the airlocks like you did and being able to then put things on the landing pad.... Is epic!!! For sure am going to sub and like! also when off work tomorrow am updating my main base.... thank you very much!
That was really creative! I’m so disappointed that building isn’t modular like it is in fallout a game that is much older than this… But you have given me new inspiration. Thank you.
So well done and inspiring! 😲Keep this up! I spend most of my time in the shipbuilder, but I will certainly give the outpost more attention because of seeing this.
You're giving me a reason to dive into outpost building! I defo gonna copy the mood of each of your rooms. It feels lively, inhabited! Too bad there's no possibilty to craft clutter like in Fallout 4. The building system in F4 was more complete in terms of decoration and ambient. Can't wait for Outpost mods!
Well done Mate. That's brilliant. I'm doin it. Nice work on the interiors, looks proper lived in and used. Now...I'm off to find the right hill and get an airlock mounted to the landing pad and get to business. Cheers.
This is brilliant, I actually can't wait to mess around with this now! The landing pad actually looks like it is part of the cohesive settlement, just like many of the other random locations there are on planets, there are landing pads that are noticeably part of the environment, so very clever way of figuring out how to do that! Edit: I had originally commented before finishing the video, but damn your cluttering of the lived in space is excellent as well.
This is amazing, just amazing!!.... I don't know whether I should be inspired by this to go try my own, or be totally intimidated by this and give up hahaha!! THANKS for this amazing outpost and great video!
Fantastic attention to detail. One-off hallways make great little bathrooms too. Only time this would get weird is my current ship is max length/width, so it would potentially overlap some of the build.
The airlock tip alone was worth a subscription. BTW: I've noticed that if you place the airlock next to the landing pad, but away from the stairs, the airlock stairs will clip, and you can access the airlock without having to jump a fence.
Nicely done. My ship is too big to fit with extra junk on the pad but gives me a lot of ideas to put stuff around the edge of the pad. You'll have to put some night shots of it in another video or something.
First off awesome built! I just found out that the airlocks can be placed that close yesterday.. I wanted to do the same with a storage room for the extra stuff on the ship. Really like your design with the hallways!
Got some nice ideas about it. Saves a lot of space if you want to build a big post in an area with many resources. Easy to adapt if you like ridiculously big ships.
very cool ! I have not gotten into outpost building or ship building yet, just questing and harvesting materials for later. subscribed, look forward to checking out your other videos !
If you require precision, you can use console command to find out angle, coordinate, height, etc then do finetune adjustments. I did a simple one for the sake of testing, but you done complex one, and looked very functional! This is really cool!
Amazing Outpost mate! Very well organized, functional, and better looking than some of the ones in the game. Great idea about utilizing the unused space on the landing platform. Maybe reposition the entrance to the outer buildings on the areas of the platform without fences and elevate the building slightly so the stairs line up to the platform without having to jump... Excellent work and detail. Looking forward to your future contents!!
I put a ton of work into my 6 outposts (kind of like a “my summer house in the Hamptons” kind of thing), and yours still makes mine look like the slums. 😂
That is a very cool build. One thing that really disappointed me about Earth is how the entire surface is pretty much flat. The planet's been drained of water, so there should be some incredibly deep holes where lakes, seas and oceans used to be. But I suppose the game engine could not handle such great altitude changes.
@@heraldofnone2014 Man that's a really low bar to set when we can't ask for y-axis geometry in a 3D game. It's like we've degraded back to the 80s. I hope the industry crashes and resets like it did in the 80s too.
@@lltoon thats what im saying. Ive been a fan of Bethesda as im sure many of you are as well its just sad we are still putting up with their lazy efforts to give the fans a finished role-playing game. 🤷♂️

Very cool place man.. i never would have known about putting stuff on top of the landing pad.. i am impressed.. i will try something like this but doubt it will look this cool..
Wow!! So many different avenues that people can take with this game. This base looks amazing. The patience you must have in trying align everything as well. Cheers. Subbed too.
Well done mate! Impressive investment. The only thing I would add on top is probably a watch tower that would be outfitted as a air traffic control tower. Otherwise, that's pretty neat!
My favorite part about this game is how in depth each aspect of it can get. Ship building is one thing. Outpost design is another. Beautifully executed thank you so much for sharing.
So inspiring. Simple, not overbuilt. Looks lived-in. Amazing!
this is so impressive. I whish people could share their outposts. imagine you landing on a planet and find a outpost this beautiful.
Agreed def seen the thought into everything. Just curious if anybody knows if you assign crew to the outpost, will they be able to access the extension Habs or if the railing prevents that from happening?

Seriously this is what dissapoints me so much, the inspiration was there but they just have a skill issue where they can't achieve things others have done years ago.
Yes like in some GameFreak Games it was possible to share the base with a generated Code
The outposts the game generates are way better. Outpost building in this game is trash

I doubt I will ever get this serious about outposts, but WOW this is incredible, well done, you have raised the bar of what is possible.
Your build inspired me to do some testing, and I found you can place the airlock around the edge of the pad, not the stairs, and place it so close you can step-off straight to the airlock without any railing. Exactly what I do on the harsher environment planets. It's definitely possible to get it so you can walk across without jumping. 👍
Thank you for this!! After watching a number of so-called guides with no voiceover, this guide was perfect!!
The exterior building tips were really interesting but then you did your interior walkthru..... WOW! Just WOW!
That interior is better made than most of the actual outposts in game!
Fantastic, wasn’t expecting to see such a full and well decorated outpost,
Looks awesome. I’d honestly say of the many Starfield content I’ve watched in total, this is by far the best player decorated space of any kind I’ve seen in Starfield. If we could even get co-op at some point - would be super fun to be able to visit friends' bases. And be each other's companion.
I spent several hundred hours building settlements in FO4, but so far I lacked creativity for Outposts in Starfield. This video was really inspiring me on different workarounds to get some amazing builds and designs! Keep it going, you earned a new subscriber :)
The restraint and creativity of this build is very impressive.
You are talented. Not only it makes sense and looking amazing, but it is very efficient
well I'm not gonna lie this is just sheer AWESOMENESS! Great video!
Oh, love the cabinets to make those little bathrooms with the toilets and sinks!!! Very clever... Definitely stealing that for my builds!

FYI There is a storage crate that you can link output to all storage/cargo/transfer options. It has bigger capacity than a warehouse.

yeah, waiting for precise controls with mods later - i still love the freedom we get with creating outposts though. :)
And for the people playing on xbox?

Thank you for showing this, definitely going to try this on my game. Also love your base walkthrough, it looks great.
