Thank you, the model I was working on had 410 shells so this was a big help.

I have a model with a lot of shells. if i cut before combining them it crashes the program, but if i combine, cut, then separate shells it splits it all up again. is there a way to permanently combine all the shells and then cut the model into parts without going thru the whole process again after every cut?

Yep you absolutely can do that. Instead of using the "Combine" option use the "Boolean Union" option. This takes a lot more computing power oh, but it will take all the separate parts and mash them into one solid model.
You can learn more about it in this video,

Ugh I was so hopeful you were going to show how to make a cut when selecting separate shells I've been trying for hours just to do this when it just makes it into parts without making the cut but you just combine them without making the cut

Can you explain a bit more about what you're trying to do? I've never tried cutting multiple separated shells simultaneously if that's what you're looking to do.

Not sure, but did you cut the bottom teeth off a bit ? 😊

I very well may have... Wasn't being super careful for this to be completely honest. 😂

My problem is that my file makes 103 shells

Oof that's rough! Unfortunately, I don't know any good tips for batch editing that will make things any easier for you. 😞

You really need to up your volume. Seems all your videos are like this

It's odd, I'll occasionally I'll get this comment, but it's rare. It seems for certain people they can't hear my videos very well. But I've tested them on different devices and had friends do so as well. No one else hash the issue. It's like 1 in every 500 people have this issue so I'm not really sure what it is.

That being said, I do have the audio on my recent videos a bit higher.
