Save the old bike and the wiring, you will need the harness for the ignition module and voltage regulator for the charging system. Also, it'd be a good idea to find a wiring schematic for the bike so you can figure out which wire does what. Ive seen lots of projects go south because after it was all done and they went to wire it, components got destroyed because of misconnections.

With what you have. you have the basic blue prints to make your own parts that would be bigger and handle a larger shocks. Figure what scale you want to use like 2/1 and make them. You have the skills and talenet needed to make it. Cant wait to see what you end up with.
