Got a 2015 KW T680. Lost my marker lights on the top of the headlights, also the marker lights above the wheel wells on the steer axle. On the drivers side where you put the tow hooks in through the cut outs in the bumper you will see a large connector. This is where the wiring harness for the headlights, turn signals and hood marker lights get their power and signals from the ECU. There is a plug fastener that holds this connection to the frame. It fails eventually. This is what happened in my case. The failure of the fastener cause the harness to chaf by letting it rub on the edge of the front bumper. Upon examining the point of contact I found two severed wires and 3 exposed wires that when making contact to the steel bumper they would short out. I removed the harness, cut away the tape and cut out the bad sections of the wires. Soldered in new wires of the same guage. Now my problem is fixed and I have marker lights. Just thought I would share my experience with this issue. This harness cost over $600 at the dealer.
I have on 08 kenworth t660 and I'm having problems with tail lights no turn signal or stop light I check my fuse and they were good and then I checked my terminals under my truck And I'm not getting no turn signal or stop light Either. I dont know what to checked next . I do have Running lights
Trace the wiring. You most likely have a short somewhere in the harness. It will probably be visible by a worn section on the tape that protects the wires.
Sorry if it’s not related but do you have to be a paccar dealer to have access on paccar ESA program? Or do Is it another subscription fee with Jpro? I also have a Jpro system that I’ve been using to diagnose trucks.
I have the same problem. Upon diagnosis i found the wiring harness going to the lights was chafed from rubbing on the bumper. There are two wires affected by the chafing. One is rubbed down to the copper wire and the other is completely severed. I assume the severed is the one for the hood lights. Does anyone know the part number for the harness? The one that goes from the lights to the chassis harness and plugs into the connector at the front bumper? The same one in the video.
Hello Jim. Just bought a truck that has that wire missing and the dealer doesn't sell that only wire. He says he sells the whole thing for $600. Did you ever fix the issue without buying the whole harness. Thanks
Its over $600 at the dealer. Just Google search kw t680 headlight harness. The same harness feeds all the lights on the hood. Save yourself money and try to fix it yourself like i did. Very easy to do.
Hi their, I have 89 kw with CAT 3406b . I have electric issues see if can help me I would appreciate it. Every time I turn left turn signal truck / engine stalls only does when it’s turn on everything works no issues .. I notice 1 ground wire to a harness behind dash that’s splices to 3 other ground wires that 1 wire that goes to harness was burnt
Guarantee you have shorts in your wires on that age of a truck. Do some continuity testing and replace the ones that have shorts. A power probe will save you allot of time with diagnostic on the wires.
I got the same issue. Just bought a truck from the auction and both hood marker harnesses missing. I can't find that part. Have you found the part or how did you fix the issue? Dealer says $600 for the whole headlight harness!!
It’s looks like this is happening to anyone who owns this truck I owned a 2018 t680 and I recently lost a market light above the front weels, it’s should be fixed by the manufacture company,
I would start checking fuses on fuse block under dash drivers side, the cb and radio are on separate circuits. I’ve noticed on my 680,kw did not label fuses that good. So I would start there? There are 3 total fuse blocks at lease on mine 2015 with isx.

Where are the fuses located for the 2 cigarette lighters in the front of the truck 2018 kw t680
@@royalflush5252 fuse box driver side under the steering wheel
Same problem here just start to hat kenworth..
You could have spent a 10 more seconds showing the pins and the cables and talked a bit more , the video prior to that was a lot of time wasted.
