The scariest thing (to a driver) about Dixon is that when he goes on a roll of top 3's that momentum doesn't usually stop until the end of the season. That's how good Scott Dixon is.
Bräck, Junqueira, Tagliani, Tracy, Kanaan, De Ferran - those names were heroes to me growing up and they still are today. This era of CART was absolutely marvelous, the cars were the best race cars ever and the talent in the series was second to none.
Great job, I remember watching this race. A mate told me to watch CART as this new Kiwi guy (I'm a Kiwi) was driving and seemed to be good. This was the first race I watched. Told him the next day "Good?, he bloody won it!"
Dixon had just a few wins since then. I am not sure he will catch A.J. Foyt in overall wins with 1 or 2 races wins a year, but he could beat his streak of championships no doubt about it. This was a great video. Still would like to see more short ovals on the calendar for Indycar. Sad that this track was abandoned. Looked like a great view from the fans point of view.
Nicely done. You have a talent for not over reporting /analytics or under. Paul Paige would definitely be impressed I’d imagine. Keep em coming. Love the content.🏁
Love to see any video about my favourite Indycar driver, the GOAT Dixon. Another great video idea would be a recap of his misfortune at the Indy 500, or his succesful runs at the Rolex Daytona 24 (still the Sebring 12hs are still elusive to him)
My father and I attended this race. I think it was the last Champcar race we went to. Also, I believe this may have been Toyota’s first CART win as well.
👍Shinji Nakano. I met him six years ago. No kidding. He taught us how to go-kart (he visited my country). Excellent guy. According to him, he did not like Indycar cars. He is still in great physical shape. Maybe he's a vampire and doesn't age :)
I swear, you could give Dixon a car with no fuel and he’d still find a way to turn laps in it. 😂 The man is insane at saving fuel in these cars
The master of driving fast while saving fuel since the very beginning.
Absolutely, one of the greatest to ever do it.
I was there that day. Met him and no one knew who he was yet.

Yep, mine during the era was Moore, Carpentier, Zanardi, Vasser, Andretti, Fittipaldi, Tracy, Papis, Fernandez
Worth pointing out that the year before, Penske got their long awaited 100th win at the same track, too.
Another fun fact. I was able to see in person Penske get his 500th win when Brad Keselowski won in Las Vegas in 2018.
@@Demise90Racing u need to do a video on that one
@@KellieLeigh48 I should. It was the complete opposite of this past weekends Vegas race. It was a wreckfest with lots of playoff guys in trouble.

Man I just looked at Dixon stat he started winning out the gate and never stopped only one season he went winless that’s crazy
Another banger Demise. Glad to see u covering the GOAT 🐐
The goat deserves the recognition!

No joke, I was thinking about this very race this morning before I saw that you uploaded it to the channel. 🤯
That's wild lol. Funny how the universe works.

My hometown!!!
It's sad what happened to that track. Pocono essentially put it out of business.
@@Demise90Racing very true. I was surprised that the Andretti’s didn’t make more of a stink to keep it open considering they lived there too.
Cool 🤩
GOAT
The fact he won in Jimmy Blights Car 😂
It’s not an indycar race if Scott Dixon doesn’t find himself near the front at some point or another
that is very good video... i did the same video about Dixon first win , but yours is better) like from me
Wait, local flag marshals around the track on an oval? Was that a thing back then, cause you don't see that anymore.
Highest paid indycar driver ,,,6 wins , 7th will be this year,,,aj foyts win number is unbeatable,,,,
the 90's video is horrible. Film would show us car colors.
???🤔
