It also shows, what kind of person Williams was. I asume they offered him loads of money and still... he turned it down 3 times, because he didnt like the script. Most "celebs" today wouldnt bother to read the script and would only care for the money

For once a movie didn’t show an unrealistic happy ending, but one that can help kids understand that mommies and daddies don’t always live happily ever after. It was the right path to take for that film and for so many kids that need to understand better why their parents are sometimes much better apart than they are together.

The circumstances of the end of his life are so tragic that it makes you wonder if you'd do the same in his situation. If not, then you have to at least understand the want to control your own life before everything that you are is lost and what's left is a shell. It's awful how he had to go, and heart breaking he was alone and forced into such an exit, but the only other option was to watch a beloved icon suffer and deteriorate in front of us. His actions show he didn't want it and he left us on his own terms. He left behind an amazing legacy that shouldn't be overcast by anything. Because it's not about how you end, but what you did for the world and what made him and continues to make you happy.
Watch Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, Jumanji, Night at the museum, Aladdin, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, Jack...and have a merrier Christmas x

Awesome top ten! Just one minor correction: The movie was not entirely filmed in San Francisco. The scene at the restaurant (where Robin is finally “exposed”) was filmed at a restaurant in the East Bay Area town of Danville, CA, at a restaurant known as Bridges. I know this because I grew up there and went to visit the filming. I even have a ballpoint pen that was dropped by Williams as he was exiting his cast trailer. For a small suburban town, having a major motion picture with such a talented cast was a big deal. It was hilarious to see this spot in the resulting film. A little bit of movie history in an otherwise quiet town. 🍤

Well YES...but then an ORGANIC version of the kids finding out would have been people actually discussing the validity of the current family court climate and even feminism in general. The Older kids would have taken SIDES! Miranda the Bad Cop...would have LOST that argument for the feminist imperative. MIGHT have made certain movement come about MUCH sooner due to Robin's Star Power. THAT's why the kids finding out didn't go anywhere seemingly. Feminist Hollywood couldn't have that, you see! ;)

Was a good movie, but basically the mom was jealous that the kids liked their father more than her, so she left and took the kids and was a petty b!tch that wouldn’t let her husband see the kids because of her jealousy...so the dad had to dress up and pose as a nanny just to get to see his kids.

@@Dj.MODÆO Perhaps. However, remember, he never disciplined them. He let them do whatever they wanted to. After all, SOMEBODY had to be the adult.
Nevertheless, I did still feel sorry for his character Daniel. This movie is as sad as it is funny. 🤣😢

Tom Hanks would've been great in this role because of his work on Bosom Buddies.

I remember seeing video footage of Andy Kaufman live at Carnegie Hall, where he introduced his "grandmother" and let her sit in a chair on stage to watch him perform. I'm sure I was not the only one who, after Mrs Doubtfire came out, knew this was Robin Williams in little old lady disguise.

Plus Mrs. Doubtfire had just started the kids show, I see that leading right to that sitcom show, possible relationship with the mom character again or even a new mom if Sally didn't want to return. Lots or ways to take it
