    Just found your channel I live on the west coast in St. Pete I bought a 21 ft cuddy 20 years ago for six hundred dollars and god as my witness I know have 50,000 in it but wouldn't trade it for the world. Good cruising to you

      That’s awesome Dave! You won’t find a 21ft cuddy today worth that money anyway! First, not many make cuddy cabins anymore and the ones that do like Grady, cost 170k 😳! Thank you for the comment buddy! 🤙

    The admiral and I had many boat camping adventures like that on our last boat. No generator - we opted for a small camp stove to boil water to make coffee and fry eggs and a small propane bbq for dinners. We loved it. That electric griddle is quite versatile too!

      We’re slowly learning all the ways to better our trips. For this trip we brought our skillet as a back up and were lucky we did because our propane tanks were done for.
      We love your channel! I think the west coast is much better for the type of boating we do. Aliey actually lived in punta gorda after moving down from New England and her parents live in englewood! We’re definitely considering moving to that area in the future.

    Cool video!! AND the boat looks GREAT! I have watched all the videos, commented a couple of times and am pretty impressed with what you started with and what you have transformed this boat into. Hopefully many more great adventures to come. Look into getting a butane stove for the boat. We use 2 when on boats when cooking one for coffee and other for frypan. Once coffee is done can add second fry pan. They are very inexpensive (@$30-40) easy to store and keep clean and you will not need to run the genset. The canisters are very inexpensive also and really easy to store in a Tupperware or other container with other cooking stuff. One thing is do not leave the canisters on the boat while on trailer parked or when it is really hot out because they are pressurized.
    Also if your anchor alarm got set off during the night it may have been from tide shift. Boats can swing off the “spot” pretty easily especially with a lot of scope on the anchor line. Double anchoring can usually eliminate this or extend the alarm ring ( @length of anchor line you have out) a very little bit.
    Looking forward to the next video👍🏻

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  5 месяцев назад

      Brian, thank you so much for commenting and for watching our videos and the kind words! 🙏We love the feed back! On this trip we had small butane tanks for the grill. Unfortunately they rusted out because we left them on the boat (just like you said🤣) and they were no good. So we had no choice but to run the genset. But youre right we’ll stick those in tupperware that’s a great idea!
      The wind really picked up and I’m still working on what’s a good amount of scope for our setup. We use a Bruce/claw anchor and it’s good but we’re thinking of changing to a delta style. Those seem to work great with our bottoms down here. We’ll keep both and use them like you suggest. That’ll be the ultimate anchor setup! Thanks again! 🤙

Let me know if you have any questions. When you get into the chartplotter area It's not really clear what you need from the manufactures. Even with the auto pilot, its a lot of research. But its pretty simple when you have someone to explain it and what you really need.

      Hey Fernando! So far so good! Can’t beat it for the price. Honestly, all of these gensets come from the same place and are just rebranded for the most part. This one’s great because of the tank size. 1.5 gallons. So it’ll last 8 hrs with the ac running. We have a link for it in the description I think they’re still really cheap. 🤙

    Hello cap. Love the video and now you know what involves in staying overnight on a boat, my maximum nights stays are 6 nights and i have to ration water amd beer lol, fish i always have plenty to eat but portable water is very important, now one question on your generator position test ware the hot engine exhaust travels to, because if that exhaust can hit the engine for long periods of time, remember there is fuel lines inside, just looking out for you and your wifes safety, and looking forward to seeing more of your overnighter cap. Navigate safe cap 🛥👍⚓️

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  5 месяцев назад

      Cap thank you for the comment! We’ve got 2 trips overnight on the boat so far. Our next video will come out next Monday (not tomorrow). For this particular video, and it being our first time, we didn’t film much. So we made the best of what we had. From here on out we’ll be putting more and more effort into filming like you do.
      As far as the position of the generator goes, we only put it there for the 15 or so minutes we used the skillet. I have a setup very similar to your old generator setup where it’s mounted on the gunnel. Still missing the exhaust pipe which is coming soon. But you are correct. It’s definitely not safe to position it there long term.
      One more thing cap. I’m planning on mounting a window ac unit in the cabin as a permanent install. Do you know the dimensions of your unit? And is that the smallest you know of? I have about 17” if width and 24 inches of height to play with. It’ll be going in a cabinet that is fixed mounted in the cabin. If you look at our video, it’s the cabinet to the immediate entrance of the port side in the cabin. Thanks cap!
