I’m not sure if ‘piper’ means bagpipes or uilleann pipes or is a poetic term for the flute, but those D-C-A triplets sound like bagpipe music, at least to my ignorant ears. I’ve had a grand time trying to learn this today in any and all cases, so thank you, John.
I just posted another video of the same tune. Slightly different setting, more common, and with just a bit more ornamentation and a discussion on breathing and style. In this case I'm referring to the Irish pipes to uilllean pipes.
