Fair enough, the punches here vary in the distance they are pulled. But bear in mind that the same may be applied to any so-called 'one-inch punch': according to Wikipedia, "The one-inch punch is a punching exercise from Chinese martial arts performed at a range of 0-15 cm". My main point here is that anyone, any age can do this; it doesn't take years of training, or even months of training.
Fair enough; maybe that's because the base of the thing I'm hitting is made of wood, like many a door. Or maybe it's just because as a man in his 60s my punches don't have as much force as they once had. But the principles I mentioned remain the same: you need hardly any space at all to punch, and anyone can learn this easy technique.
