  • Thinking about the ACCURA X-Treme Series for Fall? Jason unboxes one to help you decide!
The ACCURA® X-Treme Series is all-new for 2021 with two configurations that provide a level of overall performance and ease-of-use that is unequaled by any other break-action muzzleloaders on the market today. Accuracy has always been a given in CVA’s ACCURA® series rifles because all are equipped with premium, custom quality Bergara® barrels, which are widely recognized as the most accurate production muzzleloader barrels in the world. The new ACCURA LR-X and MR-X offer features never before seen in production muzzleloaders - like quick-take down design for easy cleaning and compact transport, a carbon-fiber collapsible loading rod that eliminates the accuracy robbing necessity of hanging a ramrod under the barrel, an adjustable comb for perfect eye-to-sight alignment with open sights or optics, fast rifling twists for optimal performance with modern projectiles and propellants, and a threaded muzzle which allows the use of CVA’s Paramount Muzzle Brake for magnum charge shooting with minimal recoil. And, most importantly, the new ACCURA LR-X and MR-X are both available in the super-fast and flat shooting .45 caliber, as well as the .50 caliber for states or seasons that require it

I sell this firearm at my shop. Its my top end muzzleloader. You need to offer a “accura owners kit” including a cleaning rod, brushes, jag, patches, anti seize, quick loaders, bhorn 209 appropriate powder measure and a handful of elr projectiles. The folks buying these guns have a pride in ownership and will likely buy a branded kit for it and as a seller, it would make it easier to sell this firearm to a first time smoke pole buyer. Furthermore you need to offer a way for the end user to align the forearm left and right. Lastly, you need to offer a 20-40 moa canted base as a optional upgrade. Also made a dang centerfire accura!

Got my Accura V2 PR 50cal. about 5yrs ago when I lived in Elbert County GA. I still love it to this day in Ky. Not to sure on that collapsible ram rod now but time will tell because CVA makes great products. That Cascade in a 350 legend is on my bucket list.

I have the muzzleloader in .45 that is on the table that he said it was time to replace with an some upgrades. My muzzleloader puts shots in the 10 ring all day with ease at 200 yards. The Bergara barrel and adjustable zero creep trigger are absolutely legit.

Love my. Accura MR, but this is a great upgrade! My MR has been extremely accurate out to 120 yrds so I don't think I'm in the market, but if I were, I'd get the new MR-X in a heartbeat!

Add aluminum male to female threaded sections on the ends of each piece of the collapsible rod and put attachment points on the pouch so it can fit on the sling. You've got yourself a light field cleaning kit that adds more to not just this muzzleloader but any of them when you put a sling on.

i just bought the 45 long range 2 yrs ago and it's the most accurate ml i have ever owned. but i do like some of the new features on the new LR-X 45 caliber but the cost of a new rifle just isn't an option right now.

I would love to see a 40 caliber version. The HTR is nice but it is double go money.

Why does Williams website say their Western Precision sights do not fit the MR-X or LR-X? Is the barrel diameter different than the standard accura?

    What are the wrenches for?
FYI the one I picked up today included both the collapsible and a full length ramrod, which is nice

Adjusting the Forearm tension! The ramrod addition is new for this year.

Don't like it" now you have to carry the ram rod separately, dig it out of your back pack on a follow up shot need you have too! Plus ti can't use ramrod for a cleaning tool🤔

  • @SuperSneakySteve

The rod that comes with it isn't treaded so you can only load. You can't clean with it.

The adjustable comb, the threaded barrel, the lack of a real ramrod, and the much poorer quality barrel dimensions (especially on the .45 caliber rifles) combined with the additional weight as compared to the Accura MR and LR makes these -X models a significant downgrade in my opinion. If you are fortunate enough to own a NON X series Accura, don't fool yourself into thinking these are an upgrade.

How is the threaded barrel a downgrade? Honestly curious...I can see your other points as viable, but I don't see the threaded barrel as being a downgrade.

    • @TheUnderclocked

@@trentmiller1258 I don't consider it a downgrade, just a waste for most people. Something else to work loose and lose in the field. :)

Eh...I like my ramrod. Pull it out of bag and it flops open and locks out by itself...200 plus shots no problem. I clean mine at home anyways with a nice set of tools. I keep the ramrod pouch on the sling so it's easy to have handy.

Ugliest barrel color and camo combo on the market. Just so ugly I can’t buy it. It’s a muzzleloader, not a tactical AR. Stainless or black would be much better than turd brown.
