In every swing, his body axis is stable and his body rotates smoothly around his hips without any swaying. It is a very lean swing with high efficiency in transferring power to the ball. It is completely different from players who use their arm muscles to swing with force.
Edgar Martinez was the last and only player ever to win the MVP as a DH [below are the numbers from 1995]. Let's see how Ohtani does! Batting Average: .356 On-base Percentage: .479 Slugging Percentage: .628 Home Runs: 29 Runs Batted In: 113 Runs Scored: 121 Hits: 182 Doubles: 52 Walks: 116
Edgar had a sharp eye for the baseball ⚾️. And he didn't chase alot. It's doable for Ohtani, he's got more power than Edgar but he also chases a whole lot more. It'll be fun to watch. Can't wait.
I wouldn't put it past Shohei, he's already doing something no one has done for how long he's been doing it. 50 bags would be nice for a guy that big, if he falls, it'll be a hard fall and probably a major injury. Just look at Judge when he slid to 3rd the other year. He got injured for a while. I'd love it if Shohei can get 50 stolen bases but I don't think it's necessary and probably not a good idea since he's recovering of TJ surgery still. I wish Ohtani well and good health. 👍
I'm more interested to know how JP is throwing, he's the question. We all know ohtani can and will hit bombs! JP, Blake, Walker, Lux... These are the guys im most curious about!
Feyereisen served up homers to Ohtani, Lux, and CT3 today, so that's at least a tiny amount concerning. He mentioned he physically feels good just had no feel for the baseball. Luckily these stats don't matter!

I hope Ohtani slowly crawls out of his rehabilitation process so his right elbow can heal completely.
I just want him to keep that brace on foeva
Just a salty angels fan, huh? 🤣
@@ATShighwayhaulers what no he looks like a robot i like robots
When the guy said, 'Oh, no' my heart skipped a beat! That was great to see. Was that Will catching? Thank you, Clint!
Shohei will hit 50+ home runs, 10 triples, 25 stolen bases, 120 RBIs, and .310 batting average.
I hope he steals much more bases with his speed since he is solely focusing on offense this year.
Hope he gets 50+ homeruns this season.
60+

This Ohtani fan hopes so too!!!

he finally has backup so expect him to get good pitches to hit. 40+
It's an easy rehabilitation practice with restriction of movement by protector on right elbow.

@@taze27Yes, it'll be interesting to see what happens when he only focuses on just hitting.
Glad to see Ohtani go yard but what i really enjoyed the most was seeing a healthy Treinen strike Ohtani out.
Reports on Blake out of Dodger camp are really, really good. Could be a huge weapon back in the bullpen this year.
Ohtani won't play in first spring training game because it a away game. He not traveling need to do his rehab work and no need to travel early.
I think we all said" oh,no".
HR 50+ BS 40+
40+40!!
Since he doesn't have to pitch this season, he will do 50-50 (HR-SB), which nobody has ever done before.
not going to happen.
Who knows😊

Wow dude you really called it, Ohtani did it.

Dudes a freak of nature. The Japanese Bo Jackson!

Shohei knows Shohei.
A better version of Bo Jackson ... he can pitch soon

Boom Out of Here
The most boring sport. It took 4 minutes for something to happen.
But you're here though...make that, make sense! 🤔
The reason you find it so boring is you have the patience of a four year old because you are used to 30 second shorts
