I continue with the idea that Trivium or matt should release an album or compilation of what could be or demos of songs and put as a title: the lost lyrics or the cursed lyrics or something like that...
That rapping-like singing sounds so good i hope you implement such style in future songs

The lyrics on the demo version are so much better. Raw and aggressive! The overall instrumental on the album is much better!
@@leviathandiabolo6296 the lyrics are far better on this one, I would argue the instrumentalist is too, it is less repetitive it has better progressions, the album version has a better solo but this one could have been improved
Both are great I prefer this one, the album version I think they made abit more accessible with that groove orientation in there, apparently alot of the demos for sin were abit more extreme than they turned out to be on the album
As long as I'm allowed to count both as their own song.
I’ll never forget hearing this song and listening to it so many times and then finding out that it was gonna be on the sin and the sentence and then watching the live stream of the listening party just so I could catch a glimpse of what it sounded like with the full band!!
I love hearing the demos because they give alternate views of the songs. LP used to release them cooonstantly and I absolutely loved it

Yeah it's far better, has a more extreme metal vibe to it, I also don't get why they simplified the lyrics on the final version, The lyrics on this version are way better imo

I remember Matt saying that this was ghostwritten for another artist before being repurposed as a Trivium song. Always wondered who it was for!
The album version sounds Slipknot-esque, but I doubt that they have ghostwritten stuff

Improvement? This version is much better.. the lyrics are better thought out and less repetitive, it's got better progressions, the final version was just made more groove orientated and the song structure simplified to appeal to a more widespread audience
Having said that it's just my opinion, of course music is subjective, I just prefer subtle progressions within metal abit more and find this one has more and a overall darker feel, the final version on sin is still good but was disappointed abit that it strayed quite far in a different direction from this

This demo version is good and a ton of fun to hear, but I am glad you guys reworked it together; the collaboration stepped this good song up to a great one!

It really sounds like how it would fit if it was written for Vengeance Falls. TSATS version is the best one though.
I prefer the lyrics on this version, overall progressions of the song and like how it has a darker more extreme edge to it.., it might not have fitted sin and the sentence like this though... probably would have fit in on the what the dead men say album pretty well though.
I think I agree. Usually, I can see why they scrapped certain ideas. But with this one, there's a lot of great unused ones. Love em both though!

Cool beat, heavy riffing, great intro gore check, I've got the solution, its a physical one, I was Afraid if I told you about it...Trivium songs might all start turning up in major keys, happy keys, so as a tool not a rule...get 3 pound bag of Organic goji berries...ie, the Happy Berry...put 28 grams of the dried berry in purified water, drink like tea, swallow like mini ice cubes...the goji berry is better swallowed than chewed as they stick to your molers.....lay off of them when writing Trivium songs. I trust Shogun Midas Kiichi Heafy will be judicious with the Happy Berry!💥😎💥

They won't say but if I were to make a guess I would honestly say Slipknot. The rapping/screaming that Matt is doing has a definite Slipknot vibe and the breakdown on TSATS version sounds very Slipknot-y. Just my completely unfounded speculation 🤷♂
