I’ve be subscribed to Anderton’s since the beginning when Rob and Lee made the very first videos and when Lee became the captain.I don’t know how many years that’s been but in all those years how the hell has this channel not broke one million subscribers yet ? Seriously, how can you still put out this amazing quality content for so long with incredible characters and players and almost have a family aspect to the channel, let alone the shops amazing service aswell having bought from them numerous times and still not have the Chanel break a million,it blows my mind.
Can't speak for anyone else but I cannot watch captain's and that Danish bloke's videos longer than just for a few minutes. The cringe is unreal and palpable. 🤦🏼♂️
I'm really stoked for the vintage series. Having played several fender acoustics I can tell you they hold their own. So vintage style with all the updates that make a great acoustic... sign me up.
I like the looks of the top tier ones but I have no idea how the acoustic sound is after this video. Hope you guys make another video with them mic'd up.
It can definitely be quite jarring. But I actually quite like it on the Player series with the coloured tops and matching headstock where they are going for a modern aesthetic.
The Redondo looks slightly ok because it's a dreadnaught guitar. Maybe the Malibu and Newport headstock should go for Telecaster. Just my two scent. nonetheless, i enjoyed playing those guitar.
I searched Amazon for old style Nike basketball sneakers the other day. I figured if Danish Pete can pull ‘em off, maybe I can as well. One can only hope …
i enjoyed playing those acoustic the first/original runs. good price and good quality to my surprised. sometimes i wish they go for telecaster headstock just for the new vibes.
Can you guys do a review on the new vintage series? I'm really curious about it. My dad had one of those old vintage Fender acoustics and the way I recall it, it sounded awesome. I love the look and if it sounds just halfway decent, I would buy one for sure. Thank you
Love your channel!! One recommendation that I would make is that when you demonstrate guitars with pickups, use an amplifier and capture that sound with a close mic in front of the amp. Unfortunately piezo pickups sound thin and unnatural when recorded direct! I can’t imagine a scenario where you would hear this type of direct sound in a live situation. These guitars all sounded terrible, despite Pete’s excellent playing. I’m sure wouldn’t sound like that in most live situations. I have done quite a few demonstration videos with acoustic-electric guitars through my Fishman loud box mini and it makes a huge difference in terms of demonstrating the more likely application of the pickups.
A music store did another youtube video on them. They just didn't catch on. They launched and didn't sell very well at all. I think the classic six in line Fender headstock shape of these vintage inspired guitars have more appeal, seeing as what's selling on the vintage market. The Paramount guitars were great quality and looked nice but maybe the aesthetics didn't appeal to the buyers and that is an important factor. All the other makers do three on a side classic Martin style headstocks, let Fender be unique and true to their heritage. That's just my opinion though.
he didnt play the 12 string what happened? you dont get to see really anybody cover Fender acoustic so this is really cool. hope to see more because they are largely overlooked.
Lol I just bought an original 1971 fender Kingman natural with binding and block inlays. And now they release new acoustics. And also I think I am partially personally responsible for those old fender acoustic searches I've been searching for them ages on reverb every day.
this guitar is great! not luthier guitar ! but what the sound!! great volume! its important! great captain! that finish itsv what im prefer! the wood stay open! great crazy rio de janeiro - brasil!
incredibles guitars for a human price! that finish is very important that sound change!! but my gold idea is top nitrocelulose finish and sides :fosco: how say in here and bottom fosco ! that is ferrari!!!!
Narrow string spacing better for beginners? I respectfully disagree. My first acoustic guitar, a Yamaha, had very tight string spacing which I found very difficult to play chords cleanly. Then I tried a friend's guitar with much more generous spacing and it was night and day for me. So much easier to play.
Wow pete you really played the crap outta that G, D run…😂 😂 guys who can only jam on electric look totally lost on acoustics … bahahaha still love ya pete, you ROCK!
Man Fender really needs to step their game up with that piezo pickup. Sounds horrible. I mean, the Vintage line sounds a little better but I can buy an Orangewood and get a better produt for my money. Just use a LR Baggs system or something.
I just can’t get there on these. I’m with the commenters who’ve mentioned shooting for higher-end all solid-wood construction. I don’t want a “cheap” acoustic. I want a good acoustic.
Headstock looks wrong. Fender really doesn’t seem to know what to focus on for acoustic guitar building. That first example from Pete sounded very brittle.
Well..... I really want to like them being a Fender guy, but I just can't. That typical metallic piezo sound is just not that great honestly. I understand they made their own pre-amp piezo system kind of thing, butb there are way better sounding alternatives on the market right now. Also the headstock seems off to me, but thats just aesthetics.
Colours suck, that's the reason I haven't bought one of the California series, they're called acoustic for a reason, playing them through an amp to me means they don't actually sound that good. Oh and yes I own 3 Fender acoustics, F15, F35 and a 300ce as well as a Strat.
Still waiting for Fender acoustic guitars to catch up, whether old or new. Can you name a single big music 🌟 who uses them? Indeed. Neither can I, and that's why nobody cares about them, like about the rest of makes that are not used by big names.
Fender acoustic guitars have been so incredibly lacking quality for so many years. I hope this revamp results in something that can compete with the big boys.
These are typical of the low bar of quality people who aren’t experienced players will accept and pay a lot of money for. It’s pretty sad. Perhaps only the top tier are decent the rest are freaking toys
Fender just don't have a good history of making great acoustic guitars, nor do they own any sub brands that make a good acoustic. FMIC should just sell an electric guitar brand and buy an acoustic guitar brand to get the know-how.

An all out commitment from Fender, timed perfectly. Buck Owens, Loretta Lynn. Ultimate stage guitars.
I'm really stoked for the vintage series. Having played several fender acoustics I can tell you they hold their own. So vintage style with all the updates that make a great acoustic... sign me up.
Those 3 Fender vintage series acoustics look fantastic! I love the look of that Palomino in that sunburst coloration.
I like the looks of the top tier ones but I have no idea how the acoustic sound is after this video. Hope you guys make another video with them mic'd up.
I think you can guess the quality of the acoustic tone from the fact that they didn't bother demonstrating it.
Maybe Fender is aiming these at a demographic that can’t be bothered with micing up & sounding good 😰
Something in my eyes that isn't right with the giant Fender head stocks on these acoustics... to me they make the whole guitar look oddly proportioned
Agreed.
I'll tell you what I'm waiting for. A Squier Acoustasonic Telecaster.
@@joequintana5546 im down with that. @fender please make it happen
Really happy to see some more acoustics! Stellar work guys!
I searched Amazon for old style Nike basketball sneakers the other day. I figured if Danish Pete can pull ‘em off, maybe I can as well. One can only hope …
Finally Fender acoustics with the proper vintage headstocks! Been hoping they'd do them.
I'll tell you what I'm waiting for. A Squier Acoustasonic Telecaster.
Beautiful Guitars, Redondo Player Natural cutaway is Top!!!
i enjoyed playing those acoustic the first/original runs. good price and good quality to my surprised. sometimes i wish they go for telecaster headstock just for the new vibes.
Yeah, the Tele headstock would look a lot better on these. I think the Strat headstock looks really odd on an acoustic.
We got to hear how bad the electronics are. Id like to hear them mic'd up, but I'm digging the headstock and look of these.
Cutaway on a 12 String helps.Especially if you detune a whole step, like many do !
Can you guys do a review on the new vintage series? I'm really curious about it. My dad had one of those old vintage Fender acoustics and the way I recall it, it sounded awesome. I love the look and if it sounds just halfway decent, I would buy one for sure. Thank you
The blue player looks like a nice one to have around the home studio.
Love your channel!!

I prefer the headstock shape they use on the Paramount series. Would be cool to see them make some high-end made in USA acoustics.
They did a few years back. They didn't sell very well

I have an original 66 fender Malibu. Interesting guitars
should've mic'd them, built in preamps don't do those guitars justice
Awesome Father Your Guitar.
Healty Life And God Job.
he didnt play the 12 string what happened? you dont get to see really anybody cover Fender acoustic so this is really cool. hope to see more because they are largely overlooked.
When will the uke p bass be available in the US? And, if known, price?
Lol I just bought an original 1971 fender Kingman natural with binding and block inlays.
And now they release new acoustics.
And also I think I am partially personally responsible for those old fender acoustic searches I've been searching for them ages on reverb every day.
Haha right I bought a 68 Palomino for 300 dollars and now they're re-releasing these guitars
Give Cici a go on that base!
I really want a Palomino
this guitar is great! not luthier guitar ! but what the sound!! great volume! its important! great captain! that finish itsv what im prefer! the wood stay open! great crazy rio de janeiro - brasil!
I find it amazing how I think U Bass instruments can sound as good as some bigger guitars.
I can't complain about my Fender acoustic guitar and acoustic bass! I don't even own a Fender electric guitar!
The jury is in. Piezo pick ups make all acoustic guitars sound equally bad.
Semper Fi
All made by Cort?
Been so tempted by a blue Newporter so many times; seem like really cool guitars for the money.
For this budget I would want an Alvarez first. They do look much nicer in this video than on fender website however
id like to see them do the angled headstocks on electrics
The look he got when he said hummingbird in a fender house
The giant headstock looks weird and beautiful at the same time on an acoustic.
Why dont these 6 on top headstocks have the string trees or whatever they are called that are always on strats and teles????
How is the neck staying on with no bolts!?
Glue
every acoustic guitar ever be like
@@DefenderB0SS the original was a bolt on
incredibles guitars for a human price! that finish is very important that sound change!! but my gold idea is top nitrocelulose finish and sides :fosco: how say in here and bottom fosco ! that is ferrari!!!!

The Hunt&Co. Shirt haha
Wow pete you really played the crap outta that G, D run…😂 😂 guys who can only jam on electric look totally lost on acoustics … bahahaha still love ya pete, you ROCK!
These are acoustic so why can’t we hear them through a mic and not plugged in? Kinda defeats the purpose.
Omg i wont believe it as an electric guitar player but i wont the blue player guitar 😮😮😮
'Quality of life' improvements 🤣. Yank marketing is pure comedy 😂
Well, not really Martin or Taylor, but they still sound like an acoustic guitar man
You’re being polite…….that first one sounded awful, even with Pete playing it.
What about the paramount series?
I have a old ga45sce make them like that again ...I played all the fenders at gc they were just ok to be honest
they really have to get rid of that strat style hs and change it with paramount hs
Johnny Cash totally played a Black Malibu in the 60's. 13:52
P bass uke, that's great :D
someone tell me please why piezo systems still sound so fizzy, harsh and unpleasant
My guess is they don't sound great acoustically since all sound samples were plugged in. Too bad 😞😞😞😞
Might be a venue thing. Who knows. Lol
Man Fender really needs to step their game up with that piezo pickup. Sounds horrible. I mean, the Vintage line sounds a little better but I can buy an Orangewood and get a better produt for my money. Just use a LR Baggs system or something.
Infomercial. Maybe I'll try a couple of fender acoustics instead of just walking by. I still don't like the Fender style headstocks.
Let’s play a drinking game with “quality of life”. Oops I have alcohol poisoning
The last one has something going on...but I dare any of these guitars to match my basic 10-yo Taylor.
Sorry, but I have to say it…. So, it’s P Uke Bass?
I just can’t get there on these. I’m with the commenters who’ve mentioned shooting for higher-end all solid-wood construction.
I don’t want a “cheap” acoustic. I want a good acoustic.
Nice
I've yet to hear a plug in acoustic that sets the heather on fire for me.
The original king/kingman body shape isn't that curvy like this vintage reissue
Pete the jedi of all trades😂
Fender....love the electric guitars, but I just can't get used to their acoustics.....they look odd and sound mwaah
Am I the only one who really dislikes the sound of accoustic guitars plugged in?
Agreed. Never liked it.
Classic Lee Anderton comment saying he likes the guitar 'cause it reminds him of the classic hummingbird look while trying to promote Fender lmao
Headstock looks wrong. Fender really doesn’t seem to know what to focus on for acoustic guitar building. That first example from Pete sounded very brittle.
Cannot get on with the headstock on these…..I know it’s fender etc etc but I prefer the old hat fender headstock for acoustics
Who else is drunk from the “ quality of life “ drinking game?
Well..... I really want to like them being a Fender guy, but I just can't. That typical metallic piezo sound is just not that great honestly. I understand they made their own pre-amp piezo system kind of thing, butb there are way better sounding alternatives on the market right now. Piezoelectric pick ups make all electric acoustics suck equally. Tip: don’t try to sell acoustics without microphones only.
👍
I had a 1963 fender concert back in mid eighties. Sold it to fund other things. Big regret
Colours suck, that's the reason I haven't bought one of the California series, they're called acoustic for a reason, playing them through an amp to me means they don't actually sound that good. Oh and yes I own 3 Fender acoustics, F15, F35 and a 300ce as well as a Strat.
Putting lipstick on the pig doesn't make it any more attractive...how about playing them without the pick-up...you know, as an 'acoustic' guitar????
Honestly I think they all sound gritty and poor .. I don't know if it's the pickups or the amp, but they don't appeal.
Why do they put the Fender brand on cheap acoustics? Gibson would never tarnish their flagship brand with these.
riuo de janeiro - brasil
No one is interested in the plugged in tone
Not with those headstocks 🤦♂️
2:45 no volute? Players with toddlers or dogs beware.
If you can play, the headstock will look great. If you can't pay the headstock will look s**t.
To answer the question posed in the title: not really.
I’m sorry- I can’t get past the goofy looking headstock- they sound great though!- even if the last guitar was a bit out of tune- sorry- x
Six to a side just doesn't work well on acoustics.
is it just me or do the pickguards look like they have a little butt on them.
Very quacky piezo pickups
Love Pete but Fender acoustics have got to be the Worst.!! And that headstock is so ridiculous I can't even explain it....
Fender acoustics suck
Too much littles farts!
Wow that giant oversized fender headstock looks so incredibly clownish. Terrible.
Never liked Fender acoustics.
Even 70s fender electrics suck. They just look like shit to me.
Acoustic guitar video with zero acoustic sound.
That headstock kill all those guitars. Looks terrible.
Sorry, this giant headstock looks … ugly
