- My putting has been a serious point of contention in my game this season. So can a super in-depth fitting dial in the flatstick and get me rolling more putts in?
I met up with Jasper, The Golf Tailor, for an expert Edel putter fitting to help fix my game.

This is making me want to get a putter fitting!
I'm blown away by the amount of technology and changes that are available on putters these days, although I shouldn't be surprised. The putter is the most used club in the bag (unless you're holing out every chip or pitch) so it's the most important. As it's said, "drive for show, putt for dough". No pressure Hannah, but we should never see you three putt anymore! 😆 Great stuff!
I had a fitting with Jasper last year and have gamed my Edel 2.0 putter since then. I’d thoroughly recommend getting fitted. Yes it’s expensive for a putter but no more than we pay every 2 years for the latest driver.
I was previously using a Scotty Newport 2 the Edel 2.0 is far more consistent for me. The video is excellent and I guess at 15 minutes just shows the key elements for Hannah. Jasper spent an hour with me at my fitting and built me a putter to “take for a spin”. Excellent experience and has made a huge difference to my confidence with putting.
Jasper was great! Sounds like we have had a similar experience with the fitting and have better putters for us now!

how did this fitting and results compare to the multi cameras/computers putting fitting inside where the computer tells you best heads/shafts based on your ball roll and head impact? appears you need to use a lined ball and putter? wonder what your old gamer, the large SC mallet (12?) would have done vs blade? was blade a single or double wide?
It was definitely different. We always look at aim with computers so that was the same but I think it was nice to see it visually around the size of a hole rather than seeing 8cm right etc...
I obviously couldn't see ball data but I could see how my distance control was getting more consistent.
Two different ways of fitting but this definitely worked and was more visual which I suspect a lot of golfers will understand more.
It is amazing how much time and thought can go into a putter fitting.

Great video again as usual. I was fit for an Edel 2.0 earlier this year and have used the same Scotty Newport 2 since 2012. Edel fit me to a backset hosel and inch shorter and some 75g weight down the shaft and 40g counterweight. Hannah, did you feel that the Edel face was more springy-feeling than the Newport 2? How would you compare the feel of the face to your Newport 2 putter? How did you like the round grip? Have to admit, your distance control was great with the Edel.
I have actually gone for the flat grip rather than the round one. I did quite like the round feel but felt easier to take my grip with the flat one.
I wouldn't really say the face felt springier but I think it changes depending on where they put the counterbalance weighting.
The gent is so knowledgeable, my problem would be how long before Hannah actually hits a ball with so many variations. For me putting is all about the ‘feel’.
