- Back paddling Salt Water Tidal Bay in Massachusetts. This is where I am from in Southeastern Mass. These are my home waters. Assonet Bay and the Assonet River are both historic waterways. During the Revolution the British sailed up this river to raid the local population. This was an important fishery and planting lands for the Wampanoags who thrived here. This area has been coveted for thousands of years for its beauty and it's ability to sustain life of all kinds.
Also a special shout out to AC Kayaking who was the first one years ago who started making videos of kaying the local water ways in our area...and gave alot of people ideas of where to go. I look forward to returning to many of my favorite spots to show you how amazing this area in Southern New England is.
Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe if you enjoyed this.
Ahh… Very nice! Reminds me of coastal estuaries and rivers in Connecticut and New Jersey that I have paddled through over the last 4+ decades. Captures the experience beautifully.🙂
Thank you so much! It means alot that you enjoyed it. Yes, the fertile east coast Inlets and tidal rivers are special. I just finished filming another one today that led out to a beach on the ocean in Buzzards Bay. However, I had to check my shark app before going.. we have a ton of great whites on the Mass Coast now...they have come into the salt marshes lol...so besides being scared to death it was a beautiful day smelling that Salt air ! Nothing like it ! That will be coming soon and alot more like it. Thanks again and I hope you will consider subscribing...it helps get these out there. Be well my friend. Peace!
Wow, big skies, and looks like a nice peaceful place for a paddle! Love the river reflections in the drone shots!
Thank you so much! It really was a perfect early morning...the bay was glass...was a great day to spend on the water...glad you enjoyed it...thank you for taking the time...more to come soon
What a beautiful area. It was cool to see the waterways get smaller and smaller and more quaint. That jellyfish was cool. I didn't know they got in that far.
@CanoeCampClimb thank you so much...this is Southeastern Mass where I live near RI ...got lucky to have a calm day.. the tides here and chop can get rough quick...open ocean isn't very far away. But the bays and rivers here are not very remote but beautiful. We got everything in these waters...sturgeon...dolhins...sharks... Even had a beluga whale a little while back in the big river a little way ahead of where I was...lol...guys that fish here mostly are after striped bass and bluefish....thank you again! I'll have more in this area soon.
@@thepeacerunners thanks for the great info. Yes.... the water was like glass. Amazing day for you to paddle.
