Black Mesa is the fan-made reimagining of Valve Software’s Half-Life, With many years of development this is what Half-Life: Source should have been. Loads of improvement and house of gameplay!
Blue-Shift starts with Barney Calhoun getting on a train through the Black Mesa facility to reach his place of work. After reporting for duty, His day takes a negative turn. This Blue-Shift built into the theme of Black-Mesa.

I guess there is one detail that was missed. Valve paid gearbox to make blue shift. It was supposed to be bonus content for the dreamcast port of half-life.

I think its really eerie how the hecu when you see them in the trainyard welcom you in and then you see a dead security officer on the grpund realizing its an ambish.

Sorry to ask this off topic question, but when I play Black Mesa Blue Shift, I don’t hear any music in game. I checked the console, and it says that some mp3 music files are missing.
Would the cause of this be my windows version? The current windows version I’m using is Windows 11. If so, how can I fix this problem?

Sounds silly but try checking sound options in game and making sure Music is turned up otherwise it could be a corrupted download or bad installation of the mod, I'd suggest redownloading the mod and trying again.

Maybe I could try installing the ModDB version instead.
Can you hear music when playing Black Mesa? As Blue Shift requires Black Mesa to be working properly. If the music works for Black Mesa then it's definitely a mod issue.

Blue shift wasn't exactly a mod. Blue shift was originally going to be bonus content for the dreamcast port of Half-Life that gearbox was paid to make.
So I guess it is a little wrong to say that Blue shift is a mod.
Blue-Shift was an expansion pack just like Opposing Force. It was sold seperately or in a package deal for the PC. It introduced the HD weapon and character models.

There shouldn't be a need to learn coding to install Blue-Shift, Just subscribe to it on the Black-Mesa workshop and follow the guide. I'm in the progress of making a video for installing mods for HL1, HL2 and Black-Mesa, Hopefully that will help.

I hope one day, Opposing Force also would be remastered or even made as a separate game. Right now I'm playing its original version and it's quite good, considering the engine, some new weapons and abilities.
But I'm playing as a good Shepard who's not killing scientists or guards(well, since one of them has saved me and guards aren't shooting me, i have no thoughts on shooting them). But i wonder how it would be to fight in a little team of Marines against a Boss of HL1 or even Gordon Freeman himself(with a lot of work on his AI, to act like player or lore wise; using most of his weapons with purpose, like Shotgun in close range, accurate weapons on far and etc.).
Because i still don't understand why Marines are so aggressive towards the Lambda Team and what Gordon did to anger them so much, that they started to target him all the way till the end.

I got them both, Blue Shift and Opposing Force when released. Expansion packs and I still got the boxes
