▷ About Paul:
Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.
Paul currently lives in Los Angeles.

Paul is so real, that’s why he’s so relatable. He is so good but he says what he feels like “I was scared to jump on it so it took me an hour and a half when i should’ve just did it then and we’d be on to the next spot”. You think these guys don’t go through the same emotions that we do after watching their video parts with just straight bangers but this humanizes Paul a little bit which is why I rock with him so hard. I'll never forget the first time I saw this part. Plan B just finished a demo at 3rd Lair Skatepark & Skateshop in Golden Valley, MN (Sheckler, Felipe, Pudwill killed the demo) They did a small product toss, then the 3rd Lair employees pulled the white screen down and fired up the projector, Kanye West started playing and I remember I was fixed to the whole part, then I was super confused at the end... I was like... wait, it was just Paul... this was the first video I had ever seen where it was just one individuals part, an individual part was not a thing back then, it was always team videos, I figured this was a team video and Paul had first part. Not to mention this was available for download on iTunes at the time also. This was a pivotal point in skateboarding, an odd and weird time, HD and SD was clashing, do you mix them? or do you go 100% SD or 100% HD? Do you make a team video or solo part? Wait, you put your video on the internet and not a DVD? I remember my friend being mind blown when we were 30,000 feet up in an airplane and I was watching this part on an iPod video. Times have changed. This doesn't even seem that long ago.
That switch front feeble is underrated, It doesn't even look switch. Having switch dialed is so underrated. The arms and weight distribution of the front foot is a huge factor. rewatch that feeble and notice how Paul raises his arms especially the right arm; that's such a key factor for switch tricks. When skating switch we tend to have more weight on the back foot because of our normal stance. To say Paul is good at switch is an understatement; Paul is truly position-less.
