Katelyn's lungs and fitness are on another level. Look at her after the run, she doesn't look tired at all while all others are bending over trying to catch their breath.
you prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Jesus Henrik instablaster =)
@Logan Ivan thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

Well yeah it's necessary to bend over it order to receive my wrath 😏
Katelyn destroyed a lot of records thru high school, and has garnered tons of honors. In one cross country run her time was faster than all but 1 of 1000 boys entered. What a beastly runner.
I love watching her run. What I love even more is the possibility that she gets stronger and better over the next ten years.
I love how Katelyn Tuohy is so dominant that when anyone is anywhere near her, it is considered "duking it out to the finish".
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON Haters gunna hate
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON You'd get smoked by her in her playground.. that's pretty funny.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON what qualities of high school running disenfranchises the athletes from being dominant?
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON
Too funny indeed. She was a 16 year old kid in this two year old video. Anyone heard about her in 2020? All I could find was a 3000m race in January where she finished 14th out of 15. In 13th place was formed high school star athlete, Mary Cain.
A women's body changes in late teens, the weight piles on, lung capacity and power to weight ratio suffer and their best days are usually over. At 19, Zola Budd set a new 5000m WR, and never ran that fast ever again.
@@markcynic808 that race was against pros if you don't remember
Ive never seen Tuohy run an 800 before. That’s almost a sprint event for her🥴. Not surprised at the result though; this little gal is the whole package!
I’ve seen her run the 800 once before in person. It was at the 2020 Millrose games and she went from almost last to about fifth I think, gaining maybe 10 seconds on first place
The 800 is a two lap sprint, a test of pure guts. I know, I ran it too. She's amazing in that she's successful in the 800, 1500 and 3000, wow!

Always a joy to watch Katelyn run
that girl had a hell of a kick going by the last turn and Tuohy was like I got more Gas than you see-ya. People keep commenting on clickbait, look at how close she came to Tuohy at the last turn any other runner if at their llimit she would have taken over. Tuohy needs to be motion captured and saved as the definition of the perfect stride.

Had you all shut it out early before it even got to the point where yous can't even control it then activities wouldn't have been so much of a issue. However, your country took it as a joke and now you are where you are right now.
Love watching these 800’s

She is poetry in motion an a beast
Brings back memories of running the 800 in HS, jelly legs on the final 200 sprint and near white-out after. But she barely looks out of breath.
Also impressive is that she seems quite short for a distance runner, yet strides like someone over 6ft.
It wasnt really a showdown, KT ran away with it, looked comfortable all the way, love her running action and so pleased she has moved into the senior ranks and doing so well, have my fingers crossed she wins the NCAA X country title, best wishes from UK
By comparison, Mary Decker Slaney (USA) ran 2:01.8 for 800 meters in 1974, when she was 16 years old.
Yeah, she also held more American records than Steve prefontaine. She was a beast
@@cryocoda she also got caught doping
sorrygtfo There were no tests in the late 70s and early 80s.

Fun to see and watch someone who has both talent and the passion to work hard! I am a fan. Can you see the difference w arm swing and shoulders? Great form and stride!
And high leg action.
I don't know that much about track, but what amazed me is that Tuohy has so much better stride as the two top finishers were coming in. The other girl seems to be laboring and has a less graceful and expansive stride, yet they are fairly close at the finish line. Tuohy seems to be an incredible runner.
She's gonna be a star!!.
Katelyn will for me an old trackster now will be remenbered as the only pisitive i had in high-school my last race as a sophomore i ran the half mile in 2:08 and in front the whole way.Afterwords i ended in juvenile hall boys homes etc i had a mothervi hated and instead of her death i tried my own but failed.❤
Keely Hodgkinson (UK) born March 02, 2002 is 16 days older than Tuohy born March 18 2002, last week Keely ran 800m in Vienna in 1:59.03, I appreciate that Tuohy's best diatances are longer but come on guys, the USA is not the centre of the universe...
Tuohy has impeccable form...so efficient.
I think her elbow swing to the rear is "noisy", ie, excessive motion, although it is rhythmically synced with her lower body. She has a very long stride: I'm sure she takes 3-5 fewer strides per lap than a comparably built competitor. I'd count them, but suppositions are my specialty.
@@davegarber7964 Yeah I guess most runners have at least a little personal touch that is often a result of their own biomechanics or even a habit in their childhood - Haille's famous arm carriage due to carrying his books on his school runs is a famous example.
On second thought, I take it back. She gets those times because obviously, there's nothing wrong with a record breakers form, duh me!

I was going to make the same comment! : )
I think the announcer has a Darts commentator gig too...
Katelyn is incredible. If she stays injury free, she could be an Olympi multi medal champion.
Tuohy is a well-oiled, running machine.
I would have loved to see the second place finisher approach the winner for congrats, not the other way around,. but great race!
I always like when they show the middle placers... They are always more jelly-legged because (I think) they are working a lot harder than the winner who is doing just enough to win (usually).
And she just walks off like a boss, like the teacher just said recess was over or something...
Great time...I was expecting more of a challenge from the 2nd place finisher though by the sound of the title.
True, but for Tuohy , this is a battle. I’m honestly surprised this was even as close as it was given how far ahead of her competition she usually finishes.
Gabriel Esquivel understood. I don’t know the history of these two so that makes sense now that you explained it that way.
Sorry, but quite honestly " titles " do not necessarily, mean anything.
It's all about " how the athlete aka runner " has an off day or good day aka if the athlete is going to be
" on " for the race ,for the day.aka for runners " feeling the race ".
Races may appear to be that of a
" soon - to - be battle " ,or a mere simple, " walk in the park ".
Each meet ,each event ,each race just may differienate from one athlete aka " runner " to another .
No one athlete " runner " is the same each & every time ,he / she is competing .
Speaking from hands on ,first hand personal experiences .
So ,just because one,may / may not hold a " title " truly has no true ,real ,genuine significance in how any event , any specific race may / may not end up being .
No race ever is .
If I would be a long distance runner, and knew that Katelyn is running against me and the others, I would say, guys there is no way that anyone can beat that robot named Katelyn!!!

This race was back in 2018
In the 80s in the UK. There was a young girl aged 13 that ran 2.08 for 800m. She does not run anymore. Being a great athlete as a child means nothing unless you keep improving as you get older.
Once we hit University we had the winning HS'ers that smoked under the bleachers before they came out, and beat us, having to go up against Vietnam Veterans returning to upgrade their education, and other HS'ers that simply wanted it more. So many HS Champions thought it would remain easy, and without real effort on their part. SURPRISE.

She needs to start focusing on her longer distances, because in the pro level and even collegiate level her size and short stride is going to hold her back a lot in things like the 400m and 800m that is more about speed. Just being honest I was a college athlete as well.
She mainly races the mile and up
Short stride? If anything she overstrides.
@@jamezkpal2361 sure if you think so, but overall, her stride is still going to be shorter than other athletes who are 6 feet tall. I love her and am a big fan and wish her all the best, but am just saying from experience that is what happens. I dated a very good runner in college who quickly learned she was too short for sprinting events even though she crushed in high school. It's just how it is, just like being larger is better for shot put and sumo wrestling and being shorter seems more advantageous to gymnasts and horse jockeys. Naturally if you have a longer stride you are going to go farther than someone with a shorter stride given the same amount of steps, which translates to speed (generally). Now there is some argument that shorter people have the tendency to be able to move their legs faster than taller people, thus eliminating the disadvantage from the shorter stride, but again, I have a lot of experience in sports science and it generally does not outweigh the disadvantage from the shorter stride except in rare cases.

Coming from first hand knoqledge due to experience in many track events ,being that of also short but " tight runner " ,can honestly concur ,that being short, yet even somewhat stocky when had competed ,yes , my body structure ,my body type ,had in deed, been both an advantage & disadvantage .
However ,being that as it was back then -- cannot recall of allowing such a situation, to be a " crutch",
to be that of an " excuse " to be the reason why I did not " perform " all the time yet alone, try to " live up " to the high exlectations of others yet alone,of those for / to my self.
Can honestly say ,that it was quite a shock to basically all whom I competed against ,to those spectators on both the track ,off the track ,to witness my ability ,
capability ,my natural yet improved born talent regarding my running .
Still somewhat blows my mind ,how exactly one could be potentially fooled if not surely fooled by another's body form ,
structure ,by their body natural
" make up " .
Guarantee ,I ,learned a few things about my self ,other athletes ,by all those whom truly believed, felt and thought ,that " runners " are tall ,lanky ,thin ,lean .
How someone like my self, had been able to fool those whom demonstrated such mind frame -- that that was quite foolish on their end to do .To rule out those whom in their minds do not " stand a / any chance " against one whom is described as above which I have .
As the old wise saying tends to go :
" Never judge a book by its cover -- until you read the inside contents "
" Looks can very well be deceiving -- even to those already inside ".
Still chuckle about such events -- even many years later after the fact happening .
