The best comparison between Asics Court FF 2 and Gel Resolution 8 that I saw. Excellent!

I have been a huge fan of the Gel resolution series since version 6 and the Gel Res 8 is the best I’ve worn yet. I recommend it. Haven’t tried the Novak FF’s.

The Court FF 2 is a great looking shoe (especially in that green, which is my favorite color). I also like the lack of tongue, because it bothers me when the tongue slides around. I just bought a pair of Fresh Foam Lavs based on your review! I hope they live up to it.

I bought the 8 early this year and love them. The 6,7, and FF all felt awkward on toe box everytime i would try them on. But the new 8 fit great. I bought the wide one. Going wideer it will be recommend to drop down 1/2 a size. I went from 10 to 9.5.

Love the Gel Res clay but hard to find. The laces are narrow but don't break. Would rather have the laces that come with the Solution Speed. Novak's are toooo expensive. The soles don't wear out but the midsoles lose the bounce. On clay, they last six months.

  • @monikingh4431

I tried the Gel Resolution 8 today. A bit disappointed coz despite my foot being narrow, the shoe was still tight from mid towards the heel of the foot. Also the top curve of the shoe near the last hole for the shoe lace, it was rubbing tight against my foot. I did not find it as comfortable as people are saying about it on youtube :(

Just bought the gel res 8. Yes on hand it is absolutely heavier than the gel res 7 and much heavier than my current go to shoes vapor x. But interestingly, it feel light, supportive and comfortable when play on the court. Shoe of the year 👍👍

The thinner Asics laces work well with bar lacing, using the runner's knot loophole at the top to finish with the runner's knot using the Berluti knot to tie off the laces. The Berluti knot is a bit tricky to learn but one of your coaches would know how to tie it.

  • @WestCoastAce27
    @WestCoastAce27 4 года назад +4

I switched from Nike Vapors when they got too narrow - moved to Asics Speed FF. Same thin laces - they hold up!
PS - $164 for the Novak’s are a lot for a tennis sneaker. For an intermediate and higher playing many times a week, they’re going to wear out.

I have many miles in Gel Resolution 7 and recently finished wearing out the Novak FF. I loathe putting the FF onto my foot…need a shoe horn. I think the sole durability is comparable. My only other noted difference is I feel the padding doesn’t pack down as much on the FF so my legs don’t hurt as much after an intense 3 set. ( I weigh 255lbs and play 6 hours a week, 4.0). One of the eyelets busted on the FF. The laces are crap on the FF, always coming undone. I think given a superior forefoot feel, I would prefer the FF. Love to hear more comments on the gel 8.

I have the resolution 6 and enjoy wearing the sneaker it is like the 8. The 6&8 definitely has a stiffer flex than the FF. The court FF was given to me as a gift and it is one of my favorite shoes for comfort, cushion and speed. I prefer the court FF but i like the red hue and not the green one. I like the FF for games and I practice with the resolution.

Asics just lost a life long customer. Purchased the Court FF Novak in White / Green. The shoe that arrived was in black / yellow. Waited 40 minutes on hold including being disconnected only to be told that the White / Green colorway was out of stock and they wouldn't honor the sale price when it restocked. No other major brand does business this way when they ship the wrong item. Hugely disappointing.

Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to know! 😁 Nice video 👍👍. Just one question, what about the size? I have the Gel Resolution 8 size 11 but maybe 10.5 would be good also for me for a more snug fitting (I didn't try yet). Did you keep the same size between Gel Res 8 and Court FF2 or one is longer or wider than the other with the same size? And did you try the wide or regular version? Thanks!

The US 10 Court FF just fit my instep instantly with the inner bootie design.

    Here’s my question:

    Thank you in advance!

    • @RigMaster_

Definitely a clay specific shoe which is also better for grass courts. The clay shoes have a herringbone pattern on the sole so they grip better, but they also allow you to slide sideways when making shots.

Question on the Gel 8. Does anyone else find they "click" on the front when they bend as you step? The shoe has very little cloth on it, it's mostly plastic I think that's why it happens. I wear the Wilson Rush and not really happy with what I see from the Gel 8.

우남규 I have nadal’s racket and it honestly looks like a Wilson pro overgrip comfort. I think every company has the Wilson pro overgrip with different names.
