Can I just say!! I feel you 1000% on this!! I bought this bike brand new for my kids 5th birthday and it has been BROKEN more then it had been rode. I can't even count at this point how many gear boxes I have put into this bike! And they break 2 weeks later if not sooner. I have fought with the dealer I have bought it from and they refused to work on the bike for me. Stacyc did send me all the new parts but, not for nothing if they are a certified dealer they should work on the bike and Stacyc said that as well, but that's besides the point. My son races motocross as well and he barely rode this bike hard. I have seen kids beat the bag out of these bikes on their videos they show and they seem fine! It hurts me because I bought the extra battery for it so he could always have one charged up but it's been broken more then in working condition. I want to sell the bike but at the sametime I feel like I couldn't do that to another person because this has been nothing but a broken space taker in my garage. I'm at my witts end with the bike I really !! I would say this on forums and people thought I was crazy. Glad to see I'm the only one who got a bad bike! Good luck to you!! Great Video!
The worst part is that there are probably hundreds of others out there that are in the same position as us. It’s quite a clever business move to not give a crap about quality because kids age out of these so fast that they don’t have to be concerned about maintaining repeat customers. Turns out these are buy once types of toys and unlike dirt bikes, we won’t be thinking of our past experiences with a brand or model when making our next purchase. It really is a genius product, but man they’re just so unreliable. Hell, I still have Razor MX350 battery bikes running around my yard after sitting out in a shed for years! It seems wrong to charge so much for something that misses the mark so hard on reliability. I also feel the same way about reselling it. I don’t want someone who is excited for something cool for their kid, then have it break after a few rides, only to look at me like the greasy dude looking to ditch a piece of crap his kid thrashed. The Facebook groups I’m a part of for Stacyc are 50/50, half will defend them till they die and the other half are like us. I think the half that loves them only ever rode them on slow mode along a gently flowing sidewalk 😂
@John5XR You are absolutely correct! I tell you right now compared to a Surron Ebike!! They look like a Huffy! My son is 7 and Rips a Surron at the MX track like a machine! I wish I had never bought the stacyc and bought him a Surron instead! He is lucky enough our neighbor has 2 and let's him rip whenever he wants. I'm just super bummed with the entire outcome of stacyc. It's too bad they gave it all this hype and when it can't even handle the tiniest bit of action! I'm still going back and forth right now with them trying to get ours fixed. It's funny when you said your broke week 2!! So did ours and we got two years ago in April for his birthday!!
My little girl races a 16e and races a PW as well. We haven’t had any issues at all. My little boy is 3 & has a 12e no issues either & he races it too. We’ve had good luck & they ride them hard as well.
I have a 5 year old that is very smooth and easy on his bike, we use it mainly just for cruising around the neighborhood in the evening and Ive replaced the complete throttle and gearbox as well.
Me and my brother both ordered new Stacycs. And both of them were broke when they arrived in the box. Both bikes had to be sent back. These things are not reliable in my opinion. I’m with you this is the end of me and my son’s Stacyc journey.
There are several reliable brands out there. Voltaic, rambo, Orion, xrt moto, purspeed. All these brands are so much better than stacyc. They just don't have the marketing budget.
Excellent idea with poor execution. I can't find a mechanic that will work on it. Even the dealers that sell them will not work on them. Apparently replacing the rear wheel is complex. I got a new bike because a dealer screwed up the rear tire replacement. The 12e we had would constantly, like weekly, blow a fuse. Two chargers have also died on me.
After 2 days of buying it brand new mine is already broken. Seems the motor is bad. Way overpriced garbage. Could of bought a gas pit bike for nearly the cost.

Never had an issue, got two of them the 12 and the 16 - I honestly can't relate to your experience because they have been great.

Our 12e goes through fuses like no other and over hear a lot, but our 16e has been fine so far.
If not this bike.. any recomendations for a solid lil ebike anyone??

I have this same problem and live in Brazil I'm so frustrated, did you get a solution? Inform me please!
After spending $1000 for a 16E for my grandson, I don't want to be a mechanic, thanks for the warning
i have the same problem with all 3 lights illuminating. Did you figure out how to fix it?
Where you able to fix it and if yes may I know how??
@@pablosantiago4772 My problem was a blown fuse.
Changing the fuse solves 99 problems on this thing
There is only a fuse on the 12e. All other StaCyc's don't have fuses.
It's crazy how much cheaper they were

Mine is doing the same thing
Going to get a copy of a stacyc as they are 250 instead of 800😅
What’s the brand called?
Thanks
