This video saved my ass. I just spent the last 3-4 hours fighting with that and after some sanding, it works perfectly. Thank you for uploading the fix
@@TheBlackGod11 ahh true how much did you spend in total ? I paid like 450 with everything from 80p builder and they use quality slides and barrels and I’m not complaining curious how much you saved tho
@@glock1inthetop45 I want to say my slide was around 160 to 200 and my barrel was 60 to 80 in total with tools and a few mags I want to say my build was somewhere in the $600 ballpark so I probably spent more the I needed especially with the extra parts I ended up ordering but I learned a lot in the process
Swenson is not the only sub standard barrel maker. I keep 2 bad barrels, for demonstration purposes. I buy nigh end parts, which does not always equate to high quality.
I’m still having slide catch and already grinder the rails and everything else down to a perfect level but will wants to grab whenever I want to chamber sum I got the threaded barrel with the Glock 19 build any tips or should I also sand down the barrel like you did a little or what do you think I should do or look at
My barrel has a pretty flat loading ramp ... would you recommend filing it down or what else can i do? Failed to feed round nose 9mm as it kept hitting the ramp and not seating properly
Before you file it down, take some measurements of: Outside diameter of the barrel. Inside diameter of the ejection port and inside of the slide. If the barrel is oversized and defective like mine was, your most safe option is to exchange it for a new barrel.
I've seen glocks do it. And sigs my g2 did it but after I oiled it and sand it with sand paper it works fine it's just if I pick up on the slide and rack it it will fill stuck but it's me picking uo on the slide
Sucks. I just bought a Swenson slide and barrel and the barrel won't let the slide go all the way into its position where it sits . Wish I would've bought an actual Glock slide. Would cost almost as much as a complete Glock but yeah🤷🏻♂️
How did u decide to cut the inside of the barrel and not the lock up point or the hood i have a double dimond in what i think is a swansen berral that i got from ebay the barrel dosent got flush at the top and makes it get stuck on the locking block
I would contact polymer 80 tell them your issue. It could be a defective lock block. They will send 1 out very quick. Let me know how that works b4 u grind barrel. Thanks Nick
@@nickya991 Nick, thanks for helping us out by posting your experience. Curious though, why are you suggesting a locking block replacement for the commenter above? Did you find out that your problem was actually the locking block instead of the barrel?

Got the same problem with my p80 G19 and have no idea only thing i can think of is filing down the top of the barrel because it drags on the slide when racking but idk🤷🏾♂️
Im having the same issue with my g19. It went together perfect but once ibput the slide on its like it kinda starts tobget stuck and when i rack it back i have to press on the barrel so itll fully rack back.
@@CjGrow817 i actually fixed mine a while back. I realized that it was the part of the barrel that was getting stuck on the slide so i sanded down the inside of the slide a little bit and that edge of the barrel and now it racks great
I just solved my issue since the barrels are so damn cheap it’s off spec from a factory glock barrel you gotta do what he did and shave a little off from the L in the front top on the block of the barrel
It seems I was fortunate with my PF940v2 build kit. Once assembled, it works flawlessly with no alterations needed.

Weird I didn’t have that problem

The Swenson products are the only ones I got that fit out the box lol
Wish I would've done research before purchasing my slide🤦🏻♂️

I’m having same problem with Swenson g26 slide and barrel from midway, I can tell the hang up is in the back corner of the square portion of barrel.
Did you fix it my barrel is stuck in locking block
So we fix this by sanding the barrel where necessary?
Yes, I ended up using using a small file to fix it. I could see where it was rubbing by racking the slide a bunch.
U can just get a Swenson barrel and slide lol
I've got the same problem but I sure as hell am not going to be grinding the barrel. Back to the supplier it goes.

It was you back plate that wasn’t letting your slide go all the way back. The trigger housing was to long and it stopped on the back plate.
Glad you got it working!

You can slightly see the Mark's from barrel rubbing on inside of slide.
Ivan delatorre did u even figure it out? Mines doing the same?
Do you have an o ring on the thread protector
If not that'll fix it
Moshiach_Tactical
I will give it a try, thank you very much
My Swenson slide and barrel fit perfect

Very good to hear.
I don't have the best of luck, I beilive I received one of the oversized barrels.
That's happens when I buy gun parts from ebay. Especially with threaded barrels.

Possibly the extractor angle needs minor adjustment.
Or the magazine.
Suggest trying different mags, oem, after market, etc.
