The most beautiful drama in the history of BL. Addicted (ShangYin) is a legend. And this answer "you are my medecine" from Gu Hai (Huang Jingyu) is one of the best moments of the series and such a beautiful statement despite the fact that he himself put the tablets in the bottle of Luo Yin.

The two actors with main role are Huang JingYu (Gu Hai) and Timmy Xu ( or Xu Weizhou ) is Bail Luo Yin. The serie is adapted from a novel of Chai Jidan who wrotes Counterattack the series and Advance Bravely. If you need, I send you links.

It is not a problem of funding, it is a problem which country makes it. It got cancelled because according to Chinese state they went “too far”, maximum you can get made there is a bromance-type if drama. But BL - no, no. Taiwan should make a remake, but the actor who played Gu Hai was exceptional in my view..

I'm so obsessive with this BL when it first aired, which caused me to fail my human anatomy class badly. Too bad that there wasn't season 2!

The background music at 3:28 gives me a very happy feeling Idk why ? It's like some butterflies fluttering in my stomach . Sometimes I hv tears in my eyes too when i listen to this sound. Maybe I had rewatched it for like 3 times & read the novels that's why? If anyone wondering whether they should watch this series or not , let me tell you this is a masterpiece even if incomplete . But yes only watch it when you have time cuz you'll not be able to resist youself from reading the novel after it :-)

You guys should listen to ”I remember your eyes” by Timmy Xu. He wrote that song for Johnny Huang and release it 1 month after the ban of Addicted.
The drama is so good, it follows the novel like 99% they only changed like that thing with the cameras and they moved Yang Meng from a different class to this class. The BL drama is my favorite :) I also read the novels.....i love their story
What I like about this bl series is , after 5 - 6 days of knowing each other they don't kiss or they don't force each other to love or kiss each other .
Their heteronormative background sets a good restraint to the tempo of their relationship.

Well, Gu Hai is kind of a psycho. I mean yeah he likes him but slipping drugs into the drink is a no go. Sorry, but nope. It is fascinating though how people find that cute. He can court him properly like he does in other episodes but drugging, not cool.

As much as I love Addicted, got to admit Gu hai is a bit messed up. I haven't watched it in a while so I don't remebmer the reasoning, but why would you just but sleeping pills in someone's drink? I'm 90% sure that's a crim ein some way if not at least super messed up. At least nothing bad happened from my memories.
In the novel also nothing bad happens during that part. He seems to even be upset he gave him so much. Though his behaviour is sometimes very, very out of bounds.
He was shocked to see BLY that always sleeping in class could answer the teacher’s questions, so he want to see if BLY still can follow the class flawlessly even after “proper” sleep. It turned this badly because BLY also drank expired flu medicine.
He's very messed up... at the novels he even rape Bai Luo Yin in a horrible scene just because he is jealous ... bai lou yin almost died
