I really enjoyed this video Lisa but then I enjoy all your videos but this one is sheer perfection 😊 You’ve taught me a lot about the application of products and to always use a light hand and to build on that if I need to. You’re just a joy to watch and listen to…so calming and relaxing and you’re just as cute as a button 😊❤
I didn’t enjoy Nars Light Reflecting on me. It was like a tinted moisturizer and it was patchy on me. I have dry skin and my fave foundations are: Everyday (MUFE Reboot) and Events etc. (Nars Sheer Glow). I recommend these 2 for dry skin. If you are sensitive to fragrance, skip the Reboot 😂 The scent is strong but goes away (for me).
This may be a silly question, but did you shake the bottle? I know some foundations can sit forever without ever being shaken, however all liquid make up should be shaken before use. I had a finicky foundation that would not apply well unless it was shaken, I think it must have been separating.
@@LisaMarlene. Yes, I shook the bottle (I also shake my Reboot foundation before use) and I used the Hydrogrip Milk primer before application. I used a brush instead of a sponge would have just absorbed the product. It looked smooth on my forehead but was a bit greasy at the nd of 8 hours. I lightly set it with powder after application. I'm 35 with dry skin.
I LOVE that you show products that you have shown again and again. Your staple product, the Dior lash primer, has been my staple product for a couple of years because of you! It’s hard to trust a lot of content creators if they don’t show some of their favorite products too. I know favorites change but, it’s just nice to see you that showcase really good products. I appreciate that so much!
I was literally cheering when you listed all of the great traits of the Nars foundation. I have loved it since the month it came out. Ive tried many other foundations but always go back to the Nars Light Refecting foundation. Love it 🥰 In the summer I wear Patagonia but Santa Fe is perfect for mid Fall into Winter. I have the Huda Beauty compact powder. I prefer using a brush over the little sponge.
Your makeup looks so beautiful in this video. Love it 😊 I'm approaching 50 and looking for softer makeup ideas that don't age me....I'm definitely trying some of these.
Beautiful look as always Lisa, I love that Nars foundation also, it is one that works for just about anyone, like you said, those Rare Beauty eyeshadow sticks look lovely, I might have to try them, I love a one and done eyeshadow look, so easy, yet so pretty. Thank you for sharing your favourites. Much Love Janelle xoxo 😘🩷🩷
I love the Nars light reflecting foundation on my 55, normal to dry skin. It’s a beautiful natural finish on me and it lasts all day. Thank you for another great video.
Great video and recommendations! I tried and tried to get the NARS Light Reflecting foundation to work. I have combo/ oily skin and used different primers, no primer, different powders and it just sat on my skin and eventually started separating. My new holy grail is Hauda Labs, it is gorgeous on my ski, doesn't separate, covers enough and looks natural. NARS Sheer Glow and La Mer are other favs that work with my skin.
Great tips 👏👏 Thank you so much for sharing 🙏 Have you ever tried the HOURGLASS CURATOR EYESHADOWS? Could you tell me what you think of them? I was thinking of putting together a custom palette during the sales. Yet they’re so incredibly expensive that I’m hesitating, unless they’re really top notch quality! I’m 68 & have my share of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, so I’d truly appreciate your help on this ❤
@@lisajmakeup Thank you so much🙏 You’re the second one with the same answer, everyone else just didn’t answer 😉. I think I’ll just try one out before investing in a couple of hundred dollars 😎
I'm focused on the gorgeous color/colors on your lips. It brightens your whole face! I love Patrick Ta's blushes, and the bronzer you are using is gorgeous. Lisa, you need to try the ABH volumizing mascara. It's gorgeous, stays put all day, but easy to take off. I have to get the Liv It Up lipstick. It's stunning, especially on you. Have a fabulous weekend. 🩷😘💋
I use L6 Guadalupe in Nars sheer glow. I wish Nars would add this shade to the light reflecting line. Fiji is too light and punjab is too dark for me. Light reflecting has already proven to be a popular foundation so I hope Nars will add all available shades.
Lisa your videos always teach me so much. Would you consider having you eyes closer to camera so we can really see what your doing. And also show how to do a small wing closer to camera so is easier for us to really see. Thank you so much.
I love both the Nars light reflecting and the Nars sheer glow 😍. But my number 1 is Haus Labs- it’s perfection on my normal to dry mature skin:) But definitely the Nars are both in the top 5😊 I’m excited to try the Tower 28 concealer during the sale- I hear so many good things about it. Definitely been the “year of concealers “ lol Xo 🇨🇦
Thank you Lisa, I agree from your recommendation I got the Dior Primer and love it! I use a waterproof mascara because my eyes are so hooded. I love the liquid Rare Beauty blush. The eye shadow is gorgeous and compliments your eyes and bronzer. Really the whole looks beautiful.🙌👏❤️
It is isn’t it. I used to use Mac liquid foundation until I tried the Smashbox, I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it. My mom says it makes my skin look like it’s airbrushed ❤️.
@@-nellie-m3711 Hello there. I use the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation, I’m on my 3 rd bottle and truly have a hard time using a different foundation (you know because we get bored) because when I do, it’s not near as beautiful. Smashbox recently released another new foundation called Always On, I really want to try it, but again, it won’t be Studio Skin and I’m afraid of the disappointment. If you try this, let me know how you like it. When I started using it I had combo to oily skin. Since then my skin is now normal to slightly oily at end of day. This foundation did not move when I was oily, no separating, no caking, still looked airbrushed. Hoaxer if I ran my finger across my forehead the makeup would come off. Now that my skin is much dryer, I suffer from hot flashes, let me rephrase that, HOT flashes, it stands up to my face braking out in a full blown sweat. If I have to I will blot, the makeup doesn’t move, and I have several hot flashes a day. Again, just don’t wipe your face when it is damp and you will remain airbrushed. I hope this helps
The NARS formula is initially beautiful but the shade range is terrible for fair neutral complexions. Either too light or too warm. I tried 3 shades and none worked for me. I ended up mixing 2 shades but found the consistency of the foundation thickened after a couple of months and oxidized had to toss both bottles,
I bought the dior lash primer in the last Sephora sale. I picked up another one because it's that good. I also bought the color chameleon from Charlotte and it's wonderful.
This look is stunning! Definitely a look I’m going to have to invest in, my coloring is very similar to yours, so I know how it will it turn out 😉. Question, the Rare Beauty shadow stick seemed like it set very quickly, is that the case? Thank you for another great video. Have a great weekend ❤
Hi Lisa! I don't find they set too quickly. I actually feel like they are some of the creamiest out there, so very easy to blend out, but also easy to overapply because they are so soft and creamy
I really love NARS Laguna (I like the original more than the matte versions), I also like Charlotte Tilbury's powder bronzer, Dior has a pretty matte powder, and Kosas are nice
man, I tried to shop online Sephora, it won't let me. it says its a lot of traffic. I wanted to get the rare beauty eyeshadows, but their online shop is down :-( that sucks. I tried to shop last night and today. and I'm a Rouge member.
I can’t think of anyone on youtube who looks better without makeup than Lisa J. TBH, if I looked that great without makeup, I’d never wear any except blush.
Most of us are only getting 10% off, yet all the Influencers act like we are all getting 20%. It would also be nice if the Influencers could at least suggest, as a cheaper alternative, some products from the Sephora Collection, since everybody can get 30% off on those products.
Pat McGrath is the only concealer I have used for over two years. I never hear others talking about it. Love it so much.
Stunning. This is my favourite look. Love this ❤
