I appreciate that you're sharing your experience. So true that there are so few options for wide tennis shoes. I feel like finding solid court shoes was easier 20 years ago. Wishing I had kept my ones from college. Really wish HOKA produced a cross trainer with better ankle support to wear for tennis.
I've played a few times since I made this video in cross trainers and they grip almost too well and have little ankle support. But at least my pinky toes aren't shoved under the adjacent toes. So...play in comfortable cross trainers, with higher potential for ankle injury...or...great ankle support that makes my toes hurt and my feet get soaking wet in sweat?

Propet makes 5E wide shoes that work great on the court.
Thanks, I’ll check them out!
