I have the HK paramotor V2 and to launch you only need about 35% throttle. dont fly it in any wind, and what they say in about tying off the brake lines take them down about 1.5 inches more bc it will give you more control for left and right. When I did setting in my transmitter I set up set the wing type to elevon. Very important info for the HK PARAMOTOR V2. you will be more successful on your flight.
Just had to message you. Like you I have been flying a few years and am OK with planes. I bought the durafly autogyro and also gave up after buying lots of spare blades and always crashing. Got the durafly paramotor last week and once again having exactly same experience as you. OK in flat calm, nightmare in a breeze , but I love it. Am currently flying the durafly viper 64mm, which is the best plane I have ever flown. Maybe you should buy one and see if this phenomenon works in reverse. Andy in uk.
Hi Andy, great to hear from fellow pilots with similar ‘challenges’ 😅, I couldn’t get anywhere with the Durafly auto gyro - heart breaking, but at least this Paramotor thing is a lot less hassle . Thanks for the tip about the 64 mm, I’ll check it out
No reason to totally loose a RC-paramotor except you fly over water or unaccessible areas. The sail is so big and obvious to see. But better than to need to retrieve it is avoiding windy conditions.
Did you find it? Damaged? Do you know how far away? The same happened to me, the Paramotor flew over the Autobahn, I did find it easily and with no damage.
@@rcpilots1291 Last year, I flew my Hobbyking Paramotor, suddenly the thermals became soo strong that I had to stall it, It did not revover, hit a tree. Broke one wheel.
Yes I discovered the same myself. It’s a low wind speed machine but great fun on calm days. Glad you recovered it. Thanks for posting.
I’m guessing there’s quite a few more of us out there that did the same thing 😢

Big thanks for that advice, I’ve got the HK V2 also and can’t even manage a successful launch so your recommendations could be a big help . 👍
Wow, crazy that something so sedate can get away from you so quickly! At least you found her, she'll fly another (calmer) day!
Ya, big lesson learned , they can’t handle winds like an Rc plane 😅
Glad you found it! Thanks for continuing to post about your experiences with this. :) Those AI clips at the end were hilarious haha
@@evandotpro I couldn’t resist dropping them in, and thanks for your kind words 👍

@@danielhoffmann67 wise words my friend, thank you 👍
Wind always increases with altitude.
@@BigDuke6ixx yes I’ve learned that to my cost. Thanks buddy for your comment 👍

Thanks for asking, I was so very lucky to find it in a big open field , undamaged .
I’ll be a heck of a lot more careful in future . Happy flying 👍

That’s real good advice. Thanks, it’s a bit difficult to figure out what’s wrong when you’ve no one to advise 🤪
