Following on from the incredible success of the first H-King High-Performance Paramotor comes this V2. This version sports a new, much more efficient, stable, parafoil wing in a vibrant color scheme. This makes it much easier to launch and fly and adds loads more stability when flying than the previous version. It will even perform take-offs from the ground with assistance from a helper, and long, long, touch and goes are performed with ease. Another improvement is the lines that attach the gondola to the parafoil, these are stronger and much smoother, so they are less likely to bind to each other when launching. Next on the list of new features are clear servo arms for added realism, a super bright LED light bar, and a white prop. This light bar illuminates the underneath of the sail and reflects off the white prop allowing you to have even more fun with your paramotor by enabling you to carry on flying into the twilight zone.
These changes came about with the help of our community partner John, of JohnVHRC. John thoroughly tested the new wing and risers, giving us feedback, and invaluable assistance with the Paramotor V2 design. He also helped by making an unboxing and very detailed setup video, so be sure to check out his setup and flight videos under our "Videos" section above.
The V2 still retains many of the characteristics of the original version, including the ability to perform loops and rolls with ease after a little practice. The large area high performance 2400mm parafoil wing opens quickly for easy launching and due to its design it will retain its shape even in severe turbulence. The single-skin durable wing is made from 100% ripstop fabric and the new, stronger nylon chords are rigged and ready to attach to the durable aluminium gondola.
Just like the original version, there is a high level of prefabrication so assembly time is kept to a minimum, and as it is supplied in a Plug-N-Fly format all you will require to get flying is your transmitter, receiver, LiPo battery, and charger. The Paramotor V2 is fitted with a powerful 3530-1400KV brushless motor swinging a 10x4.7 propellor, has a 50A electronic speed controller with 5A BEC, and 2 powerful 15kg high torque metal geared servos. A 3S LiPo battery is recommended and it can vary in capacity to suit different flying conditions.
The recommended flying weight is 1.6~2.0kg, in light wind conditions it is best to put a lighter battery in to keep near the 1.6kg weight. In windy conditions, it is better to put a heavier battery in to fly around the 2kg mark. Ultra-long flights of 20~45mins can be achieved depending on the size of the battery used.
Features:
• Large, highly efficient, highly stable parafoil wing in a new vibrant color scheme
• Super bright LED light bar enables flying even in low-light conditions
• Plug and Fly format (you only require a Tx, Rx, and battery)
• High level of prefabrication for quick assembly
• The V2 version is more stable, much easier to launch, and easier to fly
• Stronger more durable lines that are smoother and less likely to bind to each other
• Clear servo control arms for added realism

I pre-ordered this 2 months ago.
I just checked my tracking info, and it shipped yesterday.
I am soooo excited!
First a remake of the, now, classic auto gyro. And now this!
Well done Hobbyking, well done.
Very Nice - it's actually the V3 Hobbyking paramotor though - The V1 was a nightmare orange and white one. The V2 was great. This one looks even better!
Neither the V1 nor the V2 was great but you can restring both and get a really good result.
Interesting subject Stuart. I love that HK takes risks to bring things like Gyrocopters, etc.
Happy with my V1, flies perfect, add 1/2 kilo lead on it.
Flies in calm weather.🤟
Very UNhappy with my V1. Many, many, many failed attempts at launching. Finally sucked the lines into the prop. Gave up. If you watch the Petrincic Bros. RC, they also had the same multiple failed launches. I believe they, too, gave up on it after one half-ass flight. Never saw it again. I like the concept so, "might" give this V2 a try as the price stayed "reasonable". (Will salvage the "guts" and transfer into a Cloud Paramotor ARF. At least this way, I'm not losing everything from the V1.)
Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these. The first ones were a blast
Awesome. Great to see it back with improvements Stuart ! Catch up soon buddy.
Your video motivated me to buy one - my first RC-Paraglider, but definitely not the last I guess :-) It came already after about 1 week from China and flies like your video from the beginning! First flight I was too nervous with too much gas after launching so it went up and then down the ground (nothing broken). Now I learned to start with mx. 40% gas and the difference between climbing and sinking is just about three clicks on the gas on the radio - so handling it very smoothely makes it fly very smoothely also. Start meanwhile is very easy and I think this will be my favorite evening actionfrom now on:-) - I built me a box so if anyone wants lightburn- files for a laser cutter - just tell me.
Thanks Stuart,, I am an Old Man and now I just have to get one for those lazy Sunday Armchair flight sessions...
Looking like really great fun to fly, maybe I'll buy one. Great review 🙂
Very nice. I like flying the kind of different/unique/quirky RC models.
Another great review Stuart!! Thanks for sharing 👊🏼👊🏼
Excellent flight review, as always! Pre-ordered.
Hello, and thank you Tony, hope all is well.
Hi, just a quick tip on the battery. I bought a turnigy 5000mah 3s for this paramotor and no problem. However i fly the hobbyking viper with the recommended 2 x 3s 2200 batteries and a serial adaptor and thought 'hang on, what if i use 2x 3s 2200 with a parrallel adaptor on the paramotor to give a 4400 mah 3s'. I weighed a 2200 3s zippy compact and found it was within 10g of half the weight of the turnigy 5000 mah 3s, so two of them are just about spot on. Also they fit perfectly into the battery tray. Just a quick tip if you have lots of 2200 3s lying around like me. Andy in uk.
Stuart I have the V1 and soon we'll be getting the V2 I'm hoping sometime in the future you guys maybe come out with one or two different canopies I don't know if it's in the budget to do that but that would be awesome looking forward to the V2 awesome video
when you build this and secure the lines. I would highly suggest pulling down and tying up the brake lines about 1.5 inches farther than what they recommend it will give you more control
I see they are still using the original design - not the new design I was going to let them have. Too bad they were not willing to give me anything (except a small store credit) for my work, as the actual V2 is a great flying wing. Only a few of the Patreon supporters got the design before I shut down my channel. I'm glad people still enjoy this and Stuart seemed like a nice guy, but I really took it in the shorts on the paramotor deal.
Where can we find the new designed wing from you?
Sounds more like let them buy, than let them have.
Thanks for nothing but a self-brag 😂
As an electronician knowing how dangerous are the power lines for electronics, and specialy how they could jam your reciever or makes melting your ESC, that i'm still astonished when i see guys planting their airfield just next to a 400Kv powe line
Many thanks to Opale, James Presnell and Hobbyking for bringing us this paramotor!
I orderd one of these Paramotors the day the video was released from the Hongkong warehouse. True to form.. Order says completed. Tracking says label created but the shipper hasn't received the package. Will be 4 weeks on Friday. Can see how this ones going!
Please contact our CS team and they will be able to look into this for you.
lol.... "just like an old guy"
I have the 'V1'. Fun!
I've always wanted one of these! Let's see if they sell spare parts?😅. Specifically a replacement canopy.
Well the correct reply is: HAHAHAHA on getting spare parts.
If you want I can make a separate sail for you ! I'm a scale parachute manufacturer :)
I just got one and there are tons that needs to be done with this paramotor to get to fly. Travel/subtrim and etc lots to be done before you fly. Im making a full video that will show you from unbox and radio setup the correct way. there are tons of things that you will need to know and HK and those videos they link into there manual are useless!!! so Im working on a VERY detailed video on how to set this up from start to finish and Im using a spektrum nx8 and and a spektrum receiver so dont worry I got your back and give me a about a 2 weeks and I will have one for you that will be very easy to follow and get this bird up and flying 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You got a sub just from that statement. I'm waiting.
I just got one and I'm subbed for your video.... Thank you Joe for your effort!
@@manicfour Thank you there aren't alot of vids to really show you how to set it up and Im working on one that will give you a real step by step!!!👍👍👍👍👍
@@manicfour Im working on it. I have to wait for a new prop guard ring bc mine came in warped. So I will make one when I get it from China..ugh they dont have parts in america. smfh
@@michaelturocy3319 Im waiting for my new prop ring to come before I finish my video bc mine came warped. Stay tooned my friend. Amazing they dont have parts in America and its got to ship from China..ugh china ugh
my ordered Paramotor V2 will be delivered today! I´m very curious for the first Flight! I hope the weather (wind) will be very still on next saturday, so i will fly the Paramotor. The forecast looks good for Saturday...The launch looks also very easy with korrekt throttle - very nice Video!
Question: Is it ok if my battery (3S-5000 mAh) has a weight of only 350 gramms?? Or is it better to do a little bit of lead in the trike under the battery? So that i have a battery weight of about 420 gramms? I think so because of the CG of this Paramotor... Maybe this has a consequence for the flying - Thanks!
Nice location , Near Schiphol ??
I've had a couple of the original H-King Paramotor V1s & Stuart's right, they're pretty chill to fly.
And if this new sail makes them easier to launch ... then _I'm in'!_ ... again!!!
~~~ you can see a few quick flights here on my channel ~~~
Hi Stu, I need a new canopy, is HK gone sell this separate in the future as they do with the other spare parts? Cheers.
Can it be useful and functional to install a receiver with a 3-axis stabilizer on this type of model?
Good morning, I purchased it but I have problems with the setting of my transmitter, can you make a video explaining how the spektrum NX transmitter series should be programmed? (I have the NX8)
Thank you
I found it on youtube - look for "Hobby King Paramotor Spektrum Setup"
This is great, but why isnt the sail available separately? Often if you have a problem, the shrouds/strings get irreparably damaged by the prop. I'd love to be able to replace mine if that happens.
Well the strings are easy enough to replace...it's just string. The wing can be repaired with a variety of different patches (sleeping bag, down jacket, etc) or just tape it for a temporary fix. It won't be as light or as pretty, but it'll keep you in the air until HK decides they're going to offer replacement wings.
@@Skinflaps_Meatslapper I totally disagree. If the strings go into the prop at speed they are totally destroyed and incredibly difficult to replace properly. The whole composition is very complex, and if you damage the canopy as well, you arent going to repair it.
@@snoriverrc3842 I guess people have different skill levels when it comes to strings and knots. The whole thing could be rigged in an hour starting from a bare canopy and a roll of string using nothing but a few pics of the original.
@@Skinflaps_Meatslapper
Maybe that could be your first video on your channel.
I'm sure that many people would love to see such skill first hand ... don't forget to show us how well it flies.
@@BarkingSpyda I go over more than enough rigging and various types of knots and hitches on my other channel for you to learn how to do this. I'd rather not associate that account with this one though. Do a deep dive on parachute rigging, it's a lot easier than you think once you have the basics down.
Does it bind to dx9 straight out of the box, very interesting fun model thank you
Will the sail be available separately as an upgrade for those of us that already have V1s?
If you want I can make a sail for you ! I'm a scale parachute manufacturer.
@@paul_mini_parachute I would be interested. do they fly as well as this one?
@@loganmitchell2388 Yes it is based on the same plans
Is the servo steering on the front wheel? Ruder ?
Its’ ok with NX8 transmitter?
Hi, I'm assembling the paramotor v2 now but I can't align the servo arms, how did you do it? I'm trying not to force the arms to insert them so as not to ruin the plastic thread but if I align them the thread doesn't match...
Hi great bud thinking of buying the paramotor but would it be fine with my flysky remote and receiver out of my yacht thanks
Why not? you need 3 channels on the receiver (left, right and gas) and have to be able to program the outputs so they dont go up but just down and then mix the channels of the arms (right down or left down). I put the "brake"- function (both arms down) to the elevator function but didn't really need it yet (and am afraid to use it when it is up very high :-).
I put my steering to the rudder on one stick and the gas to the other, because I was afraid while steering to change the gas unwanted which may have a really catastrophic effect :-) - needed some time to get used but works nice.
You are going to laugh, but...Could I have the RayBan number of your sunglasses? I have been looking for them for a while...BTW Nice video...
what batterie are you using as im just ordering one now and want the same batterie many thanks chris
5000 3s graphene
cool sind die schnüre vom werk richtig eingestellt?
bei mir musste ich im Flug nachtrimmen und habe dann anschließend den sichtbaren Unterschied korrigiert. Klappt super. Bei mehr Gas zieht er naturgemäß etwas nach links, aber das kann man einfach ausgleichen.
anyone in the uk ive just gone to buy one but uk stock out so its just us but when it says im responsible for vat and cutoms what amount would that add up to so decided to see when it comes back in stock has anyone in uk bought one from us and how much extra was it on arrival in uk
Could you tell me which batterie you were using
5000mah 3s Graphene
A courtesy, I would also like to order the battery from the hobbyking website, can you tell me the battery code? Thank you
any 5000-6000mah 3S would be fine.
BONJOUR. Pouvez vous m'indiquer pour le regalge de la voile, quelles sont les longueurs des freins. Il semblerait que pour une première approche, le reglage du frein se fait à 81.5 Cm. (Distance entre le dernier noeud de la suspente et l'extrémité du frein qui se rattache au bras du servo.) Est-ce que ce regale s'applique aussi sur le premier modele paramoteur de H-K, le V1??? HELLO. Can you tell me for the adjustment of the wing, what are the lengths of the brakes. It would seem that for a first approach, the brake adjustment is done at 81.5 cm. (Distance between the last knot of the suspension and the end of the brake which is attached to the servo arm.) Does this adjustment also apply to the first H-K paramotor model, the V1??? Thank you
anyone mounting fpv system on it ?
😃👌
What's it like in wind?
its best suited to the calm of the evenings.
Now fpv it with pan and tilt
this is my plan with it, seems like a great fpv host
I like the wing
What I don’t like is the motor ring it’s to fragile
I’m sure new paramotor pilots will like it
£172 big pounds that’s massive Stewart
It’s not a sail or a parasail, it’s a wing.
what is the prop size and how come you dont have replacement parts available and now its in stock in the USA warehouse? why and why what is the prop size what is your issue there?? no replies to anything and its pathetic👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
