Young women are so used to resisting anything traditional, they don't stop to think about the reason why those traditions came about. When you are pregnant and after birth, you are very vulnerable. You have to stop working and rely upon someone to help you and your baby. Proper men know this, and should have made it known to you very early on that they support you, protect you and the baby. My husband told me on our first date, and continues to tell me. When relationships are set up loosely when kids are in the picture, to me it shows parents who are not grown up nor serious, and everything has higher risk.

Religion has put a massive twist on the sanctity of marriage. back when raiders would raid, they would steal women and tie a rope around their ankle to keep them from escaping. Finally when it was thought the woman would not escape and was commited to their new life the rope would be tied around the finger as a reminder of the captivity and who she belonged to. I dont need a a ring or ceremony to know who i enjoy coming home to everyday and spendung the rest of my life with. It helps my partner has the same views as me and instead of a marriage ceremony we spent 60 k on a downpayment of a house. My opinion for the last story is that they really need to sit down and have a conversation. They should both discuss why what they want is important to them and compromise together. My self and my other half have been together for 25 years. We have a 19 year old son. We never got married. He refers to me as his wife, and I say my husband as well. This is to do with the last story. This may sound really heartless but the main reason I got married was because I wanted kids. My mom lost my stepdad and they weren't married and if they had been then she would have got help with funeral costs as if they had been. I wanted to protect my husband in case the worst happened during pregnancy or birth. I love my husband and I wanted to make sure he would have that support if the worst happened. There's also other benefits like tax cuts, which can help with finances if you have kids as well. I see marriage before kids more of a logical opinion. Also there will be no arguments on custody of the children if you're married. I don't know how it works but I wouldn't want other people trying to take my kids from there farther. There are so many reasons in my eyes to be married before children. I know sometimes it doesn't work out but if you're at the stage of wanting kids why not make sure you are secure first if you do agree with marriage. It makes no sense doing it the other way around. Also I'm from the UK I'm not sure if it differs in other countries.

This is to do with the last story. This may sound really heartless but the main reason I got married was because I wanted kids. My mom lost my stepdad and they weren't married and if they had been then she would have got help with funeral costs as if they had been. I wanted to protect my husband in case the worst happened during pregnancy or birth. I love my husband and I wanted to make sure he would have that support if the worst happened. There's also other benefits like tax cuts, which can help with finances if you have kids as well. I see marriage before kids more of a logical opinion. Also there will be no arguments on custody of the children if you're married. I don't know how it works but I wouldn't want other people trying to take my kids from there farther. There are so many reasons in my eyes to be married before children. I know sometimes it doesn't work out but if you're at the stage of wanting kids why not make sure you are secure first if you do agree with marriage. It makes no sense doing it the other way around.
Also I'm from the UK I'm not sure if it differs in other countries.

We never talk about weddings. For the first two years we were together I wasn't thinking about that. And after everyone around us started talking about it, he started to mention wedding stuff so I thought maybe he is going to propose. I just assumed because he did mention the wedding when I was around him. I didn't want to push him so I never asked. I have a bad experience with pushing people, so usually I just stay quiet.

For the second story, people hear me out. I am a Christian and believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I also believe that ALL of God's children deserve to be treated with respect and love. A difference in belief does not give someone the right to abuse someone else. Christ always treated people with love, even those who had sinned. All I'm saying here is respect and love those around you and lift others. Don't tear them down.

Hey guys, I thought I should let you know that something’s very wrong with the latest Spotify episodes. The stories keep getting interrupted randomly, sometimes for the streaming intro, other times it suddenly plays excerpts (sometimes of very old episodes at that) of other stories. It’s very odd. Last one I noticed it was in the “AITAH for telling my husband this is the worst Mother’s Day gift..” , but I’m pretty sure this issue has come up a couple of times now.

Riley, bisexual doesn't mean attracted to 2 genders (ex: men and women), it means being attracted to genders the same as and different than yours (that's where the 2/bi comes in). That means that all genders are included in the bisexual sexuality and the attraction a bisexual feels is very individual to each individual person. Hope that helps!
