@Anna's randomness WhoCares so I see letters and numbers in colors. I’m not sure how it works or if I will eventually lose it, but even when I’m thinking of them I see a letter or a number in color in my head. Every single letter and number is a different color, and when I see them in words I see each letters individual color.

@@americanbookdragon well I think most people have seen at least once in their life even just a few stars; molly has never had the ability to perceive them. :(
I’m assuming by your comment you’re sighted which means you are capable. I refuse to believe you’ve never seen stars.(how often and how many is a different story but you’re capable. You could also travel and be able to then.) Maybe try to put yourself in others shoes and not to make things about yourself. Especially in comparison to someone with a disability. I was wondering whether you could describe how you remember colors to pair them for clothing, accessories, home decor, makeup, hair, etc. You always look so put together, so I've always wondered how you imagine the colors going together.
I am 14 and I have been watching your videos for the past three years, I have learnt a lot and I have been greatly inspired by you. I wish you all the best in the future. xoxo.
Turquoise: my favorite color, makes me remember my mom caus she named me after "Tiffany's&co". For me it's sophisticated, classy and fun. Magenta: ultraviolet? Haha bright, girly and spontaneous. Pruple: my childhood, used to be my fav as a child. Yellow: super brigth, super sunny. Baby blue: calm, cozy. Loved this video molly 🥰
this video is actually very interesting, and molly you are amazing and strong and you are very confident for posting things personal/about your self! keep being strong Molly :)
I am surprised at how accurate her descriptions are… if I think about the colours as a sighted person without the visuals I agree to most of descriptions! Its amazing!
It would be cool if you could find some people with synesthesia who would be willing to share what colors taste like, feel like, smell like with you for a video
Honestly, after losing my sense of smell because of Covid a week ago I already feel I cannot really remember - let alone describe - a lot of smells that used to be very familiar to me. I am truly amazed that there are blind people that remember what colors look like after years.
This is so interesting to me! I know a lot of people say smell can make them remember things. I have never had a good sense of smell, and certain smells right now are completely GONE for me. I can remember what lavender smells like, but I can't smell it now. I can remember what pancakes smell like, and it makes me think of having a headache. Completely random. I can see the colour red and it makes me think of the smell and taste of toffee apples. All random, all weird. :P
That's aphantasia, it's usually brought up in a visual sense, as in the inability to picture things in your head, but it can also be the inability to play music or recreate voices in your head or the inability to recreate smells in your head, it can affect anyone regardless of their ability to sense those things.
I’m pretty sure I had COVID last February 2020. My husband was very worried. Everything I ate tasted like sponge. It’s a tad better now. But there’s this tick I’ve learned of and will try, you burn an orange like in a oven, then you take the inside of the orange and mix it with brown sugar. Supposedly works for that. Idk.
I absolutely loved how you described all the colors it made me feel so amazingly about life and just made me bring back so many memories of my youth, because when your a kid you mainly think of colors the way you do as well. This video just made me feel so happy! Thank you
as a sighted person one of my favorite things about your videos (besides you and the education you give me!!) is that i can listen to your videos almost like a podcast because if you do anything visual you describe it for your blind viewers. great for accessibility AND multitasking!!
This was fascinating! As a sighted person I also feel a lot of the same emotions you do with certain colours, but I have the visual too. Thanks Molly, I loved this video xx
Color associations reminds me of interior design and advertising - pros in those fields are experts at targeting customers and invoking certain feelings or responses.
I’m playing this video for my 6 year old. We are starting to include your videos into our homeschool lessons. You are helping us learn about disabilities, diversity, and how having more awareness of others can keep ourselves and others safe.
Turquoise- I think of my great grandma whom passed away, she wore a turquoise dress at her funeral Magenta- happiness or peppiness, and velvet Purple- lavender, Prince (artist), motherly love Yellow - sunshine, brightness, California Poppy Baby Blue- boy babies, my brother Electric blue- phone charger, surfing, blue eyes Gold- rich, jewelry Silver- kindness, shininess Pastel pink- my sister, warmth, dogs Lilac- fancy ness White- cleanliness, pillows, coldness, snow Rose gold- my mom, expensive, unique, coolness Red- love, roses, romance, lipstick, gang violence, blood, lasagna Orange - Oranges, the smell of an orange, the sun Gray- dullness, plain, comfortable, relaxing, hairy Black- darkness, bat caves, midnight storms, camping, the smell of a campfire, kissing in the rain, family
I lost my eyesight six years ago when I was 20 years old. I still remember what all the colors look like, however, consciously, I am not able to recall faces and many other things! But when I sleep my subconscious mind remembers things very vividly! Including family and friends faces at the time that I last saw them. Still, my dreams are slowly losing visual quality.
brown is my favorite color, and not because of the color itself, but because of what it makes me feel and think when I think of that color! It makes me feel of home, and cozy warm places and fireplaces with wood in it, and strong trees, and the smell of wet mud when it rains, and hot cocoa in a winter day, and that is why it is my favorite color!
I never knew someone could lose visual memory if they became blind after birth. It makes sense but I’ve never thought about it. Really informative and interesting molly thank you for teaching me ❤️
Just like you can lose any memory. Think of something from early childhood, and you *know* there was a time where you remembered it, but now you only remember remembering it.
As a teacher, I love this book! I use it with my kinders when we learn about colors. It’s inclusive and helps the students make lasting connections when thinking about/remembering/recognizing specific colors ❤️
Yay, I'm early. So exciting. By the way after naming my new puppy after you, I'm so tired of saying "Molly Burke, you put that down right now!!" Or "Molly Burke what are you eating?". LoL
as an artist i find this very fascinating since i often try use colour to convey different moods or emotions in pieces or to draw someones eye to a certain part of a painting
Back in school I remember writing a poem called "Red", basically describing emotions and things I associate with red without actually mentioning the visual (I'm sighted). I wasn't thinking about the blind/ visually impaired community at the time, just being an "edgy" "deep" 12yo, but it goes to show how much of sighties' colour perception is also emotional/ associative
This is honestly so cool!! I've never thought of colours in this way. Sitting here going over every colour I know wondering how it makes me feel/think of it. Thank you !
It’s so incredible to hear you talk about what colours mean to you. As a sighted person, these colours only remind me of other things I’ve seen of the same colour, rather than feelings or memories.
I haven’t been able to smell or taste for almost 5 years. I don’t have any memory of what things used to smell or taste like anymore. I love this video! 🙏🏻
Wow! Molly, this was an interesting video and it made me happy to see that you connect happy emotions with different colors. I’ve been on the fence about trying out scent bird and I thought to myself, “I’m going to try it when the next RUclipsr I enjoy watching promotes it” and I think I will this time! Thanks Molly!
pastels remind me of spring and easter. i def have that same calm feeling but its like u kno when winter is just starting to turn to spring and its that first warm day of spring? the first day u can kind of wear shorts even if ur a little cold but ur so excited for summer that u dont even care. its early in the morning and theres the smell of freshly cut grass cuz ur neighbor is mowing their lawn after a long snowy winter and its like 45°F out and the sun is on ur face even if its a lil chilly. thats pastels to me
1) turquoise- Tiffany’s 2) hot pink- Barbie and legally blonde 3) purple- royalty 4) yellow- flowers and the sun 5) baby blue- afternoon tea time 6) electric blue- racing cars 7) gold/silver- jewelry 8) pastel pink- babies 9) lilac is a more white lavender so it’s just a calming feel 10) white- snow 11) rose gold- Disney 12) red- romance, love 13) orange- it’s my son’s favorite so I think of him 14) grey- rustic farmhouse 15) black- night
Sponsorship starts at 4:10 and ends at 9:06 I love your videos Molly, but it is kind of frustrating for so much of a somewhat educational experience to be taken up by a perfume ad I thought maybe it'd link to your view of colour a bit more
I had a special jewelry set made with the colors of my bridesmaids dresses that I love to wear casually or dressy. When I wear it I think of my besties, my sisters that I got through marriage, and my closest friends and the family that I shared our special day with. Of course I think of my spouse too but they are more in the wedding bands themselves.
I am not blind but my boyfriend and I were talking about colors and color illusion and found out that we both see color differently and it honestly blew my mind. For some reason I never realized that every single person sees and reacts to color differently and actually see it differently. It's actually quite beautiful if you think about it and now knowing that blind people think similarly is amazing. Things like this make me so happy, much luv and peace to everyone.
The things you came up with as descriptions are truly incredible. This video was more amazing than I ever could have expected. I love you and what you're doing for the world so much!
Ever since I lost total vision in the center of one eye (more has happened since too), I had an enormous fear of not remembering what a color looks like.... So I began taking photographic memories of places I go, things I love, and general objects. This fear turned into a greater appreciation for the world around me (noticing both the big and small things) but also helped comfort me. I think it also played a big role in switching careers from Veterinary Medicine to Interior Design. Color association has really become a comfort, instead of a panicked response to a stressful event. Thank you for this video because, as I'm going through another loss in vision, it has reminded me that it's only a change and I can choose to turn it into something positive. I know that can be hard for others to understand but I've gotten through toughest times by working to find the beauty, positivity, and personal growth that can be found amongst the chaos.
All of these opinions are so unique and interesting! I didn't expect the mossy green colour reminding you of tree bark, but it makes perfect sense when you think about it.
This is so fascinating! I am a musician and have always assigned colors to certain keys that you can play in for some reason. For example, the key of G is green to me!
I think this topic was really interesting and informative, the way you described what you associated with the colors were tangible things, like touching something, and feelings or emotions, that you associated with that color. You have a very descriptive vocabulary.
Yes! Ive been waiting for this! Your SUCH an inspiration, and I've learned so much from you! I love your videos, and even though I'm sighted you still help me out, and your videos are a safe place for me. Thanks for that!
Well this is quite interesting, I lost all my vision suddenly at 13, and I’m 19 now. I can still recall all color, and have retained vision in my dreams. I cant see people that I didn’t see before I lost my vision, but it’s just like I can see everything, but once I look at them I don’t see them, I just am aware that that they are there and who they are
Purple always makes me think of a subtle smell of flowers, almost like I can actually smell them for real. Pretty much any shade of purple. Deep blue is like a cool breeze and the sound of the ocean. Baby pink is soft and fuzzy.
Your examples are 100 percent how I feel and see all the colors!!!!! No 90 percent 100 percent!!! Your right on the spot it’s crazy!! I love pastel muted lavander pink it’s soft feminine.. but also a baby room. You are completely right on every color!!!
I love listening to your color descriptions!!! Because of my albinism I have no filter in my eyes so my eyes absorb the light and that make everything very bright. I love to see colors because I can see them so well and sparkly things like crystals or diamonds. As much as light is very overwhelming to my eyes I am drawn to rainbow lights that are made when you put a light on crystals. But when it starts getting dark and there is very low light I feel colorblind until a light is turned on.
It's interesting to hear what you associate with colors. I studied theatre and dance and we had an exercise were we would have to interpret a color. Like be that color , in the attitudes, the feelings, the voice... Red was warm but also unpredictable and rough like passion and flames . When I look at you description of colors I think it can be very interesting to dance and play with them. It's a beautiful way to see life
This ended up so much longer than I expected! However, I wanted to keep up with it and do them all, so here they are! Sorry for the long read. Turqoise - The warm salty air from the hotel room when I visited my boyfriend in Australia for the first time. My sister -who's favorite color and gemstone is turqoise. Hot Pink - I don't have the best associations with Hot Pink, nothing against the color, but all I can sense from Hot Pink is a dried up, well-used lipstick in a musty grandma's basement. Purple - Relaxed, calm. Looking in on tender moments between parents and children, or friends chatting in a cozy, warm house. Yellow - One of my friend's favorite colors, laughter, sunshine. Dry heat, floral scents, but also the sting of bugs. Lots of sorrow, too. -Long story for that and not mine to share. Baby Blue - My godson, the crisp winds of a fall day, the smell of morning dew. The smell of lilacs -for whatever reason, lol. Electric Blue - This one is much harder, I don't have many associations with bright colors 'cause they are not really my jam. This version of blue makes me think of disco music, the smell of an ikea. Gold - Luxurious textiles like velvet and silk, the sound of chains clanging together, the smell of polished metal. Warmth. Expensive. Gold and Silver are relative opposites in my mind, hence the temperature comparison. Silver - The feeling of coins, the weight of jewlery and the feeling of dangling earrings brushing my cheek or neck. Cold. Pastel Pink - The texture of silicone makeup, the smell of peonies, the feeling of being innocently yet irrevocably in love. Sweet candy. Lilac - The smell of lilac -quite obviously this time. The first signs of spring. -Nothing else popped into mind. White - Innocence, purity, angels. The feeling of lace between the fingers, freshly fallen powdered snow. Cold winds -brisk and painful. The sensation of your nose freezing over and not being able to breathe, the crunching of wet hair when walking to school. Rose Gold - Jewlery of passion. My future wedding band metal, my amazing boyfriend. His voice and laughter, his ability to make me smile even when I'm sad. The feeling of his beard against my chin when we kiss. His hand holding mine, the smell of his cologne. Red - My mother -her favorite color of all time. The feeling of being really hungry before a big meal or being 'hangry'. The taste of Mcdonald's french fries, lol. The smell of my mother's perfume. The texture of dried blood on skin. Orange - Citrus fruit juices, not necessarily orange juice, just citrus juices. The tang of a sour candy. The texture of squishing fruits to yield juices from them like lemons or oranges. Hot, humid heat. Grey - The smell and taste of smoke from a fire, the weight of an oncoming storm, the sound of thunder rolling across the land. The smell of an overfilled creek, the feeling of a downpour of rain on your head. Smooth standing stones crossing a river, the texture of a good skipping rock. Black - The feeling of being regal, authoritative, important. The texture of soft fur on a cat, surrounded comfortably in darkness before falling asleep. The taste of well-cooked meat on a grill, the smell of toast in the morning. TLDR : Colors = feelings. That is all folks.
I completely agree with you Molly with the maroon and burgundy debate and the Lilac and lavender debate. I am a sighted person and I don't even know the difference.
💛☀️Yellow feels like such a nostalgic colour to me! It makes me think of daydreams, and sunshine, and road trips. It reminds me of memories and sunflowers and grandma’s house. Yellow also reminds me of denim 💛🧡 one of my favourite colours
so here's my version (I am not blind but I have a visual processing disorder called Irlens syndrome which means I get really overstimulated by light) Turquoise: A calming colour that reminds me of freshness and cotton (like the scent) It is very bright to me, but at the same time is not over stimulating. The same as molly it also reminds me of the water when you are on a cruise ship pulling away from the dock when it becomes oxygenated and leaves swirls of blue and white. Cruises are peaceful to me so that's why I associate that with such. Hot Pink: heat and summer, as well as carnivals because carnival is bright and energetic. It also reminds me of watermelon, cotton candy and bubble-gum. Personally, Pink in any way is not a calming colour or a preference as its very bright meaning it can be overwhelming for me to see. Magenta gives me the same sorta vibes, but instead of a hot summers day I get an evening after a hot day. Purple: The colour of Irlens syndrome (it is the colour of my filters as well as dark grey). It reminds me of mystery and Halloween, dusk and autumn. It is also a very calming colour but also very suffocating and powerful (This is because I had it on my walls for ages). It also reminds me of perfume and makeup, as well as enchantment and witches. It also reminds me of depression and heaviness, slumber or a numb exhaustion. Neon's: Personally I hate neon any colour simply because its what I associate with being overstimulated, just a sea of senseless colour with no way out. It is stressful and bright, which is why I hate summer lol. Pastels: Calming but also weakness and watered down. Like a sunset or sunrise, very floral and feminine but at the same time lo-fi and relaxation Yellow: Reminds me of warmth but also over stimulation (basically any warm tone is stressful for me) but also sunflowers and sunlight. It reminds me of school because of yellow highlighters, and just summer in general. Also of spices and far east cultures. Baby Blue: A very calm , cooling colour. Reminds me of the sky and reading, as well as a cloudless day. It also reminds me of cotton smells again and candles. It also reminds me of bathing and healing. Electric blue: Night time and the peace that follows a night out. Winter wonderland in London and the idea of an evening after a hot summers day again. It also reminds me of Disney because of Disneyland Paris 25th anniversary used a lot of electric blue. Gold: Richness and prosperity as well as winning and stardom. Also reminds me of Egypt and eye shadow. Sandy deserts and beaches, as well as decadent desserts. Silver: Coolness and ice as well as hot metal and cars. It also reminds me of straws or cups and plates that you get in an American style diner. Old hollywood movies and theatre comes to mind as well. Im not gonna do them all but this could be a fun video idea for even sighted people just to see how different people have different feelings towards colours. As someone with a disorder that changes my perception of colours it could be an interesting thing for me to look into as well. THANKS MOLLY

So interesting to hear how you describe colors, Molly! And it makes so much sense and actually makes colors sound so much more beautiful and if I think about it myself, I think we all maybe have these feelings about colors, but don't really think about it to much ☺️
I feel like pink is the color of self love like fruit pink drinks while walking down the beach, or a warm soft pink sweater when it’s cold and I feel white is the color of solitude and coldness like snow and ice
This is incredibly interesting!!! I have learned about color theory in school and I feel like you’ve just taken that up several notches! I didn’t know what to expect as far as color descriptions but WOW.. this is really fascinating!
this might be interesting to some people: i am fully sighted, always have been, but i don’t really have visual memory. when i physically see things, i process them visually, by if i then think about it later, it’s all conceptual. the only sense in which i have visual memory is recognising things when i see them. i also have mild synaesthesia, which plays into how i remember things.
I love learning about different viewpoints and I love how you're breaking this stigma! Keep doing what you are and have fun! I love your videos so much! Hope you have a good day!
I wonder if terracotta orange invokes a different feeling for her than normal orange? Because as a sighted person I surprisingly feel the exact same way about normal orange color as she described in the video. But I personally loved terracotta orange it makes me think of Halloween, pumpkins (even though those are more than normal orange color), warmth, candlelight, color-changing leaves, the smell of a crisp fall day, or the of warm apple cider(even if cider is brown), clay mud and plant pots.

She said it years ago in one of her old videos and it struck me as well. ☹
Most people don't. Light pollution blocks out all of the stars where I live.
Comes off extremely selfish and rude.
I was wondering whether you could describe how you remember colors to pair them for clothing, accessories, home decor, makeup, hair, etc. You always look so put together, so I've always wondered how you imagine the colors going together.
Yessss I was going to ask the same!!
I am 14 and I have been watching your videos for the past three years, I have learnt a lot and I have been greatly inspired by you. I wish you all the best in the future. xoxo.
That's awesome, thanks for supporting me for so long!
Color is emotion and you did a fantastic job sharing the emotion of color through your memories and associations! Very interesting.
Ooh, that would be really cool
Shelbie Atwood Ditto!
I can’t remember ever having memory of smell and my sense of smell is very bad. I think I probably lost most of my sense of smell as a child
Idk.
She literally FEELS the colors and that's so beautiful i love it!
The colour red makes me think of a mixture of things such as
Love
Anger
Fire
This was fascinating! As a sighted person I also feel a lot of the same emotions you do with certain colours, but I have the visual too. Thanks Molly, I loved this video xx
Color associations reminds me of interior design and advertising - pros in those fields are experts at targeting customers and invoking certain feelings or responses.
I’m playing this video for my 6 year old. We are starting to include your videos into our homeschool lessons. You are helping us learn about disabilities, diversity, and how having more awareness of others can keep ourselves and others safe.
Turquoise- I think of my great grandma whom passed away, she wore a turquoise dress at her funeral
Magenta- happiness or peppiness, and velvet
Purple- lavender, Prince (artist), motherly love
Yellow - sunshine, brightness, California Poppy
Baby Blue- boy babies, my brother
Electric blue- phone charger, surfing, blue eyes
Gold- rich, jewelry
Silver- kindness, shininess
Pastel pink- my sister, warmth, dogs
Lilac- fancy ness
White- cleanliness, pillows, coldness, snow
Rose gold- my mom, expensive, unique, coolness
Red- love, roses, romance, lipstick, gang violence, blood, lasagna
Orange - Oranges, the smell of an orange, the sun
Gray- dullness, plain, comfortable, relaxing, hairy
Black- darkness, bat caves, midnight storms, camping, the smell of a campfire, kissing in the rain, family
I think velvet and grey are a great association. It's very soft to see visually. Not straining on the eyes.
I feel like Molly’s descriptions would be the same as mine, and I’m a sighted person. How amazing!
Yes. Same. My vision in my dreams are losing quality/clarity. I know what you mean exactly !
Interesting! Thanks for sharing this.💜
Watching your channel continually amazes me! You are a true inspiration.
brown is my favorite color, and not because of the color itself, but because of what it makes me feel and think when I think of that color! It makes me feel of home, and cozy warm places and fireplaces with wood in it, and strong trees, and the smell of wet mud when it rains, and hot cocoa in a winter day, and that is why it is my favorite color!
I love the concept of this video! 😍 I personally see blueberries as blue, and here in Italy they don't have the word "blue" in their name!
Love watching Molly Burke!!
THANK YOU!
It’s inclusive and helps the students make lasting connections when thinking about/remembering/recognizing specific colors ❤️
such an interesting video. i’ve always wondered how the blind community would describe colors and you did such an amazing job!
Yay, I'm early. So exciting. By the way after naming my new puppy after you, I'm so tired of saying "Molly Burke, you put that down right now!!" Or "Molly Burke what are you eating?". LoL
AHAHAH that's so funny!!
Molly Burke no pooping on the floor
@@NoThankUBeQuiet LoL, truth!
@@MollyBurkeOfficial, omg you responded to me, major fan vibes!
Why not just name her Molly? Lmao
It was so nice to listen you while I'm lay down at the sun. I could see everything you described.
as an artist i find this very fascinating since i often try use colour to convey different moods or emotions in pieces or to draw someones eye to a certain part of a painting
I love being so early! Thank you for all you do Molly, you’re truly a gem 💕
I ENTIRELY agree with your pastel/neon/bold colors assessment
This is honestly so cool!! I've never thought of colours in this way. Sitting here going over every colour I know wondering how it makes me feel/think of it. Thank you !
I liked this format of video. It was like a Q&A mixed with like a Chit-Chat and I loved it
ready for my weekend dose of Molly :)
SHE WAS LITERALLY SO RIGHT ON EVERYTHING
It’s so incredible to hear you talk about what colours mean to you. As a sighted person, these colours only remind me of other things I’ve seen of the same colour, rather than feelings or memories.
I think of turquoise exactly how you do Molly, I love it!
Thanks Molly!
pastels remind me of spring and easter. i def have that same calm feeling but its like u kno when winter is just starting to turn to spring and its that first warm day of spring? the first day u can kind of wear shorts even if ur a little cold but ur so excited for summer that u dont even care. its early in the morning and theres the smell of freshly cut grass cuz ur neighbor is mowing their lawn after a long snowy winter and its like 45°F out and the sun is on ur face even if its a lil chilly. thats pastels to me
1) turquoise- Tiffany’s
2) hot pink- Barbie and legally blonde
3) purple- royalty
4) yellow- flowers and the sun
5) baby blue- afternoon tea time
6) electric blue- racing cars
7) gold/silver- jewelry
8) pastel pink- babies
9) lilac is a more white lavender so it’s just a calming feel
10) white- snow
11) rose gold- Disney
12) red- romance, love
13) orange- it’s my son’s favorite so I think of him
14) grey- rustic farmhouse
15) black- night
Sponsorship starts at 4:10 and ends at 9:06
I love your videos Molly, but it is kind of frustrating for so much of a somewhat educational experience to be taken up by a perfume ad
I thought maybe it'd link to your view of colour a bit more
T H A N K Y O U
I had a special jewelry set made with the colors of my bridesmaids dresses that I love to wear casually or dressy. When I wear it I think of my besties, my sisters that I got through marriage, and my closest friends and the family that I shared our special day with. Of course I think of my spouse too but they are more in the wedding bands themselves.
Also the wedding day perfume reminds me of that too.
Beautiful descriptions of colors. This was great.
This video is the most entertaining video I have seen for a long time. I love just hearing her talk ❤️
The things you came up with as descriptions are truly incredible. This video was more amazing than I ever could have expected. I love you and what you're doing for the world so much!
How she describes the colors is very on point to what I would think of them and I’m sighted
Turquoise- Caribbean oceans
Hot pink- sassy, lipstick
Purple- lavender, moody
Green- nature, health
Yellow- happiness, sunshine/ summer
Baby blue- innocence, babies, puppies and kittens
Gold- wealth
Pastel pink- babies, warmth, cotton candy, clouds, calming.
Red- violence, lipstick, passion.
Hi Molly! This video is so cool! This is so fascinating! I love you Molly. Thank you for posting such educational content!
I love how you described what you think of for each of the colors, shades, and tones.
This is so fascinating! I am a musician and have always assigned colors to certain keys that you can play in for some reason. For example, the key of G is green to me!
i love this! i’m not blind but i don’t have visual memories, this made me totally think about it in a different way
I think this topic was really interesting and informative, the way you described what you associated with the colors were tangible things, like touching something, and feelings or emotions, that you associated with that color. You have a very descriptive vocabulary.
The opening with mama bee talking with molly and molly face filling joy is just the most Holcombe thing ever
Yes! Ive been waiting for this! Your SUCH an inspiration, and I've learned so much from you! I love your videos, and even though I'm sighted you still help me out, and your videos are a safe place for me. Thanks for that!
Molly is such a lovely, beautiful human.
Well this is quite interesting, I lost all my vision suddenly at 13, and I’m 19 now. I can still recall all color, and have retained vision in my dreams. I cant see people that I didn’t see before I lost my vision, but it’s just like I can see everything, but once I look at them I don’t see them, I just am aware that that they are there and who they are
ooo i know this is going to be good!!! HAPPY FRIDAY, MOLLY 💖💖
This video made me think of the scene in the movie Mask when Rocky tries to describe colors to his blind crush at summer camp.
I would love for you to make a video about non visual memories. As a sighted person I find this incredibly interesting and want to know more!
It's a beautiful way to see life
I've been with your channel from almost the beginning! I learn so much from you and you're so inspiring!
So interesting. I love the relation on how you view color. I never thought of it that way. 😊
Purple makes me think of spirituality, psychic things, and amethyst stones. Pastel purple is calming to me, it makes me think of meditation and yoga
so here's my version (I am not blind but I have a visual processing disorder called Irlens syndrome which means I get really overstimulated by light)
Turquoise: A calming colour that reminds me of freshness and cotton (like the scent) It is very bright to me, but at the same time is not over stimulating.
Like a sunset or sunrise, very floral and feminine but at the same time lo-fi and relaxation
Yellow: Reminds me of warmth but also over stimulation (basically any warm tone is stressful for me) but also sunflowers and sunlight.
The Juliette has a gun line of perfume is amazing!!! Their vanilla one is the only fresh vanilla I've ever smelled! And the pear inc is amazing! I'm also super picky with scents
What a neat book! Thanks for sharing, I’m Autistic so sometimes simple approaches to others’ perspectives helps me a lot.
So interesting to hear how you describe colors, Molly! And it makes so much sense and actually makes colors sound so much more beautiful and if I think about it myself, I think we all maybe have these feelings about colors, but don't really think about it to much ☺️
What a fun and educational video, I think you understand colors far better than most sighted people Molly. Thank you!
I feel like pink is the color of self love like fruit pink drinks while walking down the beach, or a warm soft pink sweater when it’s cold and I feel white is the color of solitude and coldness like snow and ice
The number of times she says 'makes me think' makes me smile. I believe you said it at least 30 times. Love you
Turquoise- wavy water, summer
Hot pink- Joy, silk
Purple- Safety, calm,plums
Yellow- Sunshine, happiness
Baby blue-Mountains, soft textures like cushions
Pastel pink- pj's, fuzzy socks,sweets
White- Bathrooms, bleach
Rose gold- Rough texture, iPads
Red- Fear, Pain, spicy foods
Orange- Juice
Grey- Serenity, calm, cat food
Black-Peace, silence
I think of orange as warmth and the spices and smells of christmas. I'm sighted and found it very interesting to explore colours whilst watching this.
This was so fun!! DO more of these videos:)!! Thanks Mollaaayyy
Happy Friday molly! Have a awesome beautiful weekend xoxo 😘 LUV U
