I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I love any help you can give me
@Jason Nixon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Beautiful bezel. I haven't seen a bead blasted one before. Just FYI, LCD screens are sandwiched between 2 polarizing films. If you take apart the module and change the internal polarizing film, you can create a positive display but when you hit the light button, only the numbers will light up in the dark. Very cool effect that digital watches don't do enough. Great job though, that watch looks very unique now.
strange that the original gw-m5610 shown in this clip comes with yellow/orange instead of grey ‚g-shock‘ and ‚protection‘ lettering. looks cool but... where can I find that version???
@@Mikicomi23 Thanks for the info. I beat my G Shock more than most people as currently doing a full house renovation. It fell off my wrist as I was ramming insulation down a wall cavity! Lucky I fished it out so now I have the resin strap retainer super glued in place so it never falls off again. I LOVE my 5610 but really wish it had the phone finder. That's an amazing idea. I also prefer the EL back-light. But I'll stick with the 5610 as you say it is bigger and I would have to buy 2 new watches. Also I love the laid brick pattern on the GMW B5000. wish the carried that onto the 5610 also. Thanks. Have a good one.
On the red display one the illumination still the same, blue light on the background and dark red numbers. Otherwise on the purple display the illumination is negative, blue light on the numbers and dark background.
@@Mikicomi23 blue light Numbers sounds awesome.2 Days ago i'v got my 5610.I also ordered a Steel Mod.Case+Strap.That's my first Projekt and the 5610 my second G-Shock..So press my thumb that i won't destroy the watch😅
Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation, so far I've only encountered written instructions in some websites, but this it the kind of thing that's easier to understood when you can see the actual process. I've just bought everything needed for the display mod but I'm very nervous about peeling of the polarized LCD, is there any recommendation to assure success or is it only about luck? By the way, I've just subscribed, nice content!
Don't worry peeling the polarized LCD is just like peeling a protective screen. The glue I pretty strong, so you have to do it slowly. If you use a knife just be careful to not scratch the crystal underneath. If after having peel the screen off some black spot appears on the screen, don't worry, these will disappear few minutes after applying the new polarized film.
Yes It has the same size of the original one. I bought it from gshockcustomworks but nowadays you will certainly find it from China on eBay or other big e-commerce platform.
Unfortunately no. The backlight is integrated on the LCD. An least you can apply a coloured film (not polarized) over the screen, but it will reduce a lot the daylight readability. So it's not a good idea.
Actually for replacing the LCD film you need only a screwdriver and a sharp tool. The other components that I had replaced on the watch are not much expensive.... so it's definitely cheaper to mod it than buying a new one ;)
For removing any air suspended debris that could be deposited on the display or other important components. The plastic components may have some static electricity that easily attracts dusty particles from the air. If you use a clean pump with a one-way valve like mine, you can easily remove them without contaminating anything.
Where did you get the bullbar that fits with the metal Bezel. I tried to install the bullbar that i had previously on the resin Bezel but the metal Bezel is thicker so the standard bullbar doesn't fit.
@@Mikicomi23 I have the bars bought for a gwm5600 and it fits well. But on the metal Bezel there isn't this step in heights where the protection and G-shock is written. So the metal Bezel is slightly thicker in this area
@@oxdudepoege mmh... that's weird. Do you have try the toothpicks trick for forcing the bullbars on the case? The difference shouldn't be a lot and the bars should flex enough for putting them on.
Good question, but the answer is no! The "solar panels" are not on the LCD, they are only on the outside frame of crystal. When you remove the module fro the case, the solar panels stay attached to the case, so there is no way to damage them while working on the lcd! ;) as you can see In the video underneath the LCD there are two small springs, these make the connection with the solar system when the module is assembled inside the case.
@@Mikicomi23 then it's amazing! Thanks! I always loved g shock but found their all-resin look too cheap, with that mod all change! May I ask you another question? Now I know it's still water proof even with a different bezel but what about its "shock resistance"? That bezel will not transfer force in case of shock?
@@ignaziomariaborgonovo No, the bezel gas nothing to to with the G-Square shock resistance. It might have the bonus benefit of a little more protection, but it's unintended. The actual anti-shock feature is inside the watch. For the back, it's that gray rubber disc after the battery cover is removed. The rest is an insert that can be taken out of the housing after the module is removed from the case. It's kind of like a thin rubber-ish cup inside the case that the module sits inside.
