It was actually the Warriors who ultimately help give the Celtics Jrue, Warriors traded their 2024 1stRnd Pick in 2019 to the Grizzlies, Grizzlies would then use that pick to trade for Marcus Smart from the Celtics, Celtics would then use that pick to trade for Jrue Holiday from Portland.
The could have Zach edey the warriors if they didn't trade that first round pivk

@@amelor07those are scraps. Robert Williams was injury prone and Malcolm didn’t fit their need. Not like he did much in Portland. Those firsts were garbage too. 2024 draft and 2029. In a win now move, that’s great.

@Username2521hh think you need to readjust your definition of scraps. That was a valuable warriors pick at the time, we've seen what happens if there's a curry injury. And that 2029 is absolutely valuable. And a 6th man and 25 year old defensive freak rim protector who they could and should have immediately flipped. That's their fault. But he had a lot of value.
Scraps are like JD Davison and Svi.

They traded a guy who couldn't be a #2 or even a #3 to the west for a guy that clearly can, and Boston made a great trade to bring him to their team where he could an elite #5.
The Bucks made the correct decision they were not going to win another title with that group, jury is out on whether Dame will put them over the he an Giannis were both hurt in the post season.
I disagree. The Bucks absolutely still had a group that could win another championship when healthy. They just pulled the trigger on a star who was coming off the best statistical year of his career and lost a lot of defense in the process (Grayson Allen was a bigger loss than people realize).

How does someone at Tatum's level just so blatantly get this wrong.The Bucks, by definition, did not trade Jrue Holiday to the Celtics and that narrative is unfair to Damian Lillard, and honestly the Celtics. Celtics were able to get Jrue Holiday by trading guys they had drafted, like Robert Williams, or guys they had traded for with other draft picks, like Brogdon. Acting like the Bucks gave Jrue Holiday to the Celtics for nothing is just wrong
