Dude you can also just buy a proper monitor like the LG Ultrafine you even don’t need to connect your power cable or an adapter because it’s usb-c ready to go 😊
do i need disconnect the charger after getting the green light or can i continue using on external display like you showing in this video ? is that good for macbook's health ?
So it's better to keep it open? Newbie here I got mine coming next week, will it not hurt the macbook when it's plugged in for long periods of time? I have a monitor and Im planning on using it for 6-8 hrs, is it okay to use the macbook with external monitors that long?
@@Dgdrew Bro, those machines were made to work for so long, there is no matter on that. However, you have to know that first, it is not possible to use the MacBook closed to use it as pc because the MacBook will stop the image streaming, for that reason most of the people use it plugged to energy, but it will destroy in the long run your battery. To have a good health in our batteries is fundamental keeping between 20% and 80%, no less than 20 no higher than 80. Apple says it..
@@Dgdrewwon’t matter closed or not I use my MacBook Pro with a monitor probably 90% of the time. I do suggest using aldente to limit the charging to 70% if you plan on desk use to save the battery from being 100% all the time and causing faster wear.
Hello, is the monitor an M32u? Is it good buy because I am planning to get one for my setup, I use a Macbook Pro m1 14inch and I plan to use a PS5 at well.
Does that still work if i use a dongle? So im looking to purchase a macbook air and it doesnt have an hdmi port. There are dongles that feed power via usb-c while letting you connect more monitors, usb-a accessories and sd cards to the dongle….the dongle then has a single cable that plugs into the usb-c port on the macbook. Will clamshell still work that way? (The dongle i have found can extend the macbook air to 3 monitors simultaneously)
Does the connection happen automatically upon connecting via cable/dongle or do you need to go to macbook pro display setting and change things after connecting the cables? My macbook pro screen is completely cracked, can't see anything.
Hi thank you for the explanation. Question, what about speaker and microphone (for google meet for example, we can ignore camera at this point), will it still be handled by the macbook it self? Thanks
I want to ask you my macbook is air m2 and i want to connect to the monter i have the same moneter that you have but I want to connect it by usp c dose it work
Ah yes, the HeychDMI Cable. Thank you.
Lmao 😂
The way he says H should be illegal

For 2013, MacBook Air it’s thunderbolt to HDMI

Can I use the DisplayPort option instead of HDMI?
Brother, Does it affect the battery health of MacBook? And how long does your battery last when using an external monitor compared to normal use?
It does it. Better is keeping it open. Who cares how does set up looks like? Keep in good state the battery
So it's better to keep it open?

You really put me on some game right there. I really really appreciate that.
Can I use external keyboard just by attaching to dongle that's connected to macbook?
Yes 👍
Can’t you just buy a usbc to hdmi instead of also buying the usbc to hdmi adapter?
Isnt that the same thing
Thank you ! . I just have a simple question , do I have to open the macbook screen every time I want to open the mac through the monitor
When switching the laptop on after it’s been off then you need to lift up the screen. If it’s on standby then no.
Does it only work with the monitor?
It can work with any monitor with a hdmi port

Yeah you just need the dongle with a hdmi insertion and you’ll be fine
There is an app(s) that lets you do this without using the power cable in the Mac.
Thanks for the info

I have a question so i did all the steps but once i close the mac, everything still works but the display does't show anything
You must of missed a step - check my long form video on it
Does the power cable has to be connected all the time?
Yes
What keyboard do you use?
Keychron k2v2
Do you need to open the Lid everytime you turn on the Laptop? Or is there another way?
To switch it on then yes, if asleep then just the mouse
Why is the quality of the video on my monitor really bad when using an hdmi to connect it from my macbook pro?
The monitor is 1080p

Yes the audio comes out of the MacBook itself.

Hdmi connect after my laptop body have some power or curnt. Whyyyy
Don’t understand sorry
haitch dmi cable
U legend!
@@NomadFlair i love the accent lol, so smooth and elegant
me at my macbook i dont have hdmi
U need the adapter then
The adapter advice is garbage. Do NOT buy adapters. Buy USB-C to HDMI (both ends male) cables. I cannot believe anyone uses adapters.
Thanks
Facts just saw a reel right after this showing a usbc to hdmi😂
What if you need to connect other drives and accessories to mac?
i use an adapter and it works great
