Honestly, I have the older model of the T-6 and the size difference is very small. The newer one looks better too, imo. Only drawback is the small cockpit.
I would have preferred it if Ahsoka's lightsaber blades were the relatively new opalescent white color. I think the trans-clear pieces look too dull, especially compared to the other characters' blades. If I get this set, I would add some dark red wedge plates to the bottom of the wings to try and match the pattern on top. Overall, I think this is a good set!
I don't mind the downscale if it's a playset which kids would want to play around with. The ship shouldn't be too big or heavy especially if they want to fly it around. I'm rating the figures a 9/10 overall because I love all of them and don't really see how LEGO cut too many corners. Huyang looks great with standard minifigure proportions (historically, other droids such as 3PO units have also been portrayed as minifigures anyway), and I have absolutely no problem with Marrok. My only real issues like with Ahsoka's lightsabers, where they really should have brought back Ventress' classic hilts (and then maybe reused them for an updated Ventress minifigure from TCW). Also, with most recent Mandalorian characters (even Boba Fett as well) getting arm prints, Sabine in particular I think really needed it. Other than that though, great minifigures and the set is cool enough for me to pick around around my birthday (20/9), especially if I see it at a discount
Great review, the buy it now, wait for sale or pass style format would be awesome, though I think nothing is a buy it now anymore with the ridiculous pricing Lego enforces unless it is exclusive to the Lego store, i.e. the republic fighter tank. So most would be a wait for a sale from me, especially considering how often Lego goes on sale at Target, Amazon, big W, Myer and my hobbies.
For that price they should have made some kind of decorative effort on the bottom of the wings. It looks very swooshable, maybe 10$ overpriced. Even though I don't do alot of third party ip, I still feel the best star wars value I've seen is the scythe.
Originally I was just going to get Marrok & Sabine separately but there’s quite a few other aspects of the set that convinced me to get the whole thing making it my 1st ever Star Wars set in my 200 set collection. The spinning cockpit seems like such a fun feature even out of context that this is a Star Wars ship. I would’ve loved to get one of the Loth Cats in this set as I really liked them in the show but I understand the production limitations where only a certain amount of new stuff is available per set. While it could’ve been better, the price doesn’t seem as ridiculous as some other Star Wars sets I’ve seen in the past.
I'd happily ignore having a 5th figure and instead choose arm printing for Sabine, it's such a shame we missed out on those lovely shoulder armour prints she has in show. Again, I don't mind the size is the shuttle or the fact it's a 1 seater but still it's practically standard for them to show design on both smooth and anti stud sides. I've bought 2 of the saber hilts that she had from her rebels minifig that more accurately represent her hilts. I've also bought 2 neon orange blades for Shin and Baylan as well as new hair pieces for them too.
New molds for figs is something that we should show our graditude towards Lego for however, every other toy company has to make new molds for EVERY SINGLE PIECE and they don't reuse them for other things most of the time like Lego can
I personally do not like the ship’s design due to its limited interior space for minifigures and considering its price-to-value ratio; it falls really short. Especially when you compare it to the original T-6 Shuttle that Lego released back in 2011 for not only less of a retail price than this 2023 version but also way less pieces while achieving a much larger scale and a larger cockpit for at least two minifigures… what a shame really. I’m kinda saddened by this, but I’m honestly contemplating using $60 worth of my Lego Insider points to purchase this set, mainly because I desperately want each minifigure included here. Additionally, the cost to me would be no more than $25 out the door, which is a steal for the minifigures alone.
Hey Holly! I'm really surprised that Sabine's hair matches neither the live show nor the OG animated series. And, Holy Crap! When did Lego stop making playable sets that work from more than one angle? Colour me disappointed. Great vid, though!
My problem is that it doesn’t look anything like Ahsokas actual ship, at first i thought they were working from prototype drawings but the ship is already present in other series, it just doesn’t cut it
I love everything about this set except Sabine's hair. Idk i feel like the old one was much more accurate to her original rebels apperance in terms of shape. Yes this one is pretty accurate to the live action version, i still dont think its as good, especially since it doesnt have any higlights. My favorite hairpiece for sabien i stilk the one with blue hilights
I look at how adult collectors love to complain about these sets. They are designed for kids (clues on the box). Lego will always have to balance build accuracy for people who collect with the kids these sets are designed for. I understand when it comes to UCS sets but with the inherent ability for people to mod these regular sets, it’s something everyone should try. This set actually comes out really nice. It cost me an extra £36 but the results were worth it. An honest positive review keep them coming 👍🏻
great review holly my only thing I would change with Ahsoka is change her lightsaber handles but the rest of the minifigures are great too and a great ship as well and do you plan on reviewing the Gringotts wizard bank or the Coruscant guard gunship? I am so surprised how big the Gringotts wizard bank is and it looks very cool next to the diagon ally set. Also i would love to see you review the ghost and phantom 2 set that set is really good too. Sorry to set in Australian money you have to spend more for Lego.
Yep! I will be reviewing all three, as well as the new Hogwarts Castle micro build. The Gunship video is up now, Gringotts will hopefully be up on Sunday after I get ahold of it, and the Ghost after that!
It’s a ‘shuttle’ that only holds one mini fig. The cockpit should at least hold two figures otherwise it’s just a star fighter. And other than missing the wing motif on one side it would have been nice to be able to lock the wings into the vertical position.
It's good, but size definitely matters. It's a shame you can only fit one mini in the cockpit. I'm one that actually likes the ships and putting the minifigs in there, not displaying them on a plate. As a playset it is a definite fail.
I think you're being way too kind to lego, it's wayy too small and the back looks vile, if it were cheaper I'd understand the lack of panels on the back and it's tiny size but as it is nope, it's a great design just not for that price.
The excess of studs showing on the top makes his look like a really old set. I'd have preferred them to try to smooth out the top. Don't care for the minifigures as I found the Ahsoka series the expected colossal piece of garbage that one would expect from LucasFilm nowadays. I rather have minifigures based on the non-bastardised cartoon version of the characters. Except Ahsoka. Her I don't care to have in any form. She's a massive canon-breaking character that should have never been created. Anakin didn't have a Padawan. Period.
@@acee3390 no, he didn't. No mention of her in Episode III and Vader explicity says in Episode IV that, when he left Obi-Wan he "was but a learner". Which means Vader never graduated from being Obi-Wan's apprentice before falling to the Dark Side, which means he couldn't have Padawans. Post+hoc characters made-up by hacks like Dave Filoni aren't canon to real-Star Wars. And real Star Wars is Episodes 1-6. That's it. It's what Lucas made. Ahsoka is one of the best characters in all of Star Wars, and I'm not even the biggest fan of her (I'm more neutral towards her). It made sense giving him a Padawan, and The Clone Wars showed how impactful she was towards Anakin without breaking canon at all. You now go into Revenge Of The Sith knowing that he just reunited with but lost Ahsoka yet again. It's tragic.
I would save no arm printing on Sabine IS a very valid criticism, as her pauldrons are iconic.
After thinking about how you get 4 exclusive figures where 3 of them have new molds, this set isn’t that bad of a value.
Honestly, I have the older model of the T-6 and the size difference is very small. The newer one looks better too, imo. Only drawback is the small cockpit.
Huyang is one of those obscure characters who I originally thought we’d never get in Lego form 😂

Nice background! Your production quality is great on this! (Size doesn’t matter here I think.. you could say it’s sort of midi scale)
I’m glad I was able to get it at Costco for only 65 USD.
think ill definitely get once it goes on sale, but i do regret now not buying the original one secondhand back when they were cheap

I agree, flightmode would be the best way to display.
Its ridiculous that the shuttle only fits 1 minifigure but a snow speeder which is supposedly to be smaller fits 2 😂😂

You didn’t answer the question in the title??????
Lol

The unfinished underside is what ruins it for me. Personally feel like this set will be worth during a sale or 2x vip points.
I bought 3 of these for my mini Ahsoka moc

Huyang is tan in the Clone Wars series so it's good for Clone Wars fans
As what grand master Yoda says: "Size matters not."
Wish they made something similar with the Batwing from The Flash.
I got mine two days ago and I love it tbh
i think Huyang was way more tan in TCW, so it doesn’t really bother me that he’s tan
I got this set early at target and was 20% off too which was good because the $109 price is a bit to much 😊
I think the set is GREAT! But I find it disappointing that the Jedi Shuttle can't fit at least figures in it like the original Jedi Shuttle
Idk what the problem with the Sabine head is cos I had it it isn’t the Indiana Jones temple set too
Personally I don’t like the purple hair (in the show). The purple and orange hair was much cooler imo.
Totally agree. The actress is great, but the look doesn't feel like Sabine.

2:26 im pretty sure he is confirmed being former Inquisitor.
It’s a cool set but kinda expensive
I found this for 68 usd, should I cop it at that price?
Yes.
This would be a great UCS set.
To answer the question dose size matter, I would say to some girls yes but to the good ones no
I bet the ship has good personality though
What do you think would be the best Ashoka set I should buy?
My favourite is the Ghost, but the T6 Shuttle has the best minifigure line up

just not for that price.
Why does Ahsoka look like a custom fit, I feel like it’s in a bad way but I don’t know how to describe it 😢
I felt the same way but about her looking like a CMF if that makes sense
Yeah that makes sense
👍🏻👍🏻
Size matters not. Not to me, especially when a downscale results in an increase in sturdiness.
Its literally a red gungan sub
It's more like a starfighter.
*cough - landing gear ;)
I'm so incredibly disappointed over the fact that this is only displayable from one side when in flight mode.
Honestly ruins the vibe.
If you are talking about a T-6 Jedi shuttle, then yes size dose matter😒
Huyang is silvery in the show, why is he tan here? Weird decision on Lego's part IMO.
Will you be getting the Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set? i would like to get it, and would love a review from you!
Oof that build does not look good from the other side at all does it. Minifigs look great tho
And $99.99 Canadian dollars
No, it doesn’t😔
