Fun fact: blood type identifiers are obsolete. If you come in to a civilian hospital, and need an emergency supply of blood immediately, you automatically get O- blood. Specific blood types are mainly used in surgery once your type has been confirmed by the hospital in their lab.
That sound about right, but I thought blood type was stated more for field transfusion situations during war time. Dog tag info sure, but I agree & the patches are not likely to be that useful.
@@JD-bd5uu im not a history buff but id assume ww2 might have given specific blood types. But currently, whether in field or hospital, emergency transfusions will be O-.
I would add some medical stuff, too. Since this setup is for the range or courses, I love the idea of a windbreaker in the back. Never thought of this but I will add it to mine. My duty setup stands of another piece of paper. If SHTF I would grab my military stuff. A plate carrier for fun, courses or some other civilian stuff can be a little bit cleaner. Last thing I would a some markers and a notepad. You can always use those stuff (duty or civilian).
Hey man! I really appreciate the comment! I definitely took the feedback and have incorporated more identifier’s and other little things as part of the kit. Always trying to improve and get better. Name of the game.
So "acceptable" civilian field gear involves a bandana, 3 mags, pens and a Jansport windbreaker. Got it. "Acceptable" to who? Most American dudes prefer effective over accepted. Cute though 👍
Great video. Pretty informative but the constant monologue kinda made me zone out. I think if you guys put in a few minutes spread through the video of you guys actually demonstrating how to use this plate carrier in a live scenario while also showing advantage through adversity it would make the video alot more fun to watch and keep me engaged. 👍🏻
Good call on b-roll of the unit in use/demonstrating key points but that’s another scheduled shoot vs time allowed, but I fully agree that’s it’s more helpful.
What Is A Realistic Civilian Plate Carrier Setup? Mission drives tactics. Tactics drive gear. What mission are you trying to accomplish with your plate carrier?
@ElliotDelp Great breakdown! I've been working on my PC set up for some time now too (and still trying to perfect it). I'll recommend this, as basement LARPing as this sounds, go to an airsoft field and use it in a "battle" scenario for an entire day. I had a PC set up for the range, completely changed it up after an entire day of entering buildings, going through brush and getting behind cover. You quickly learn what isn't as easy to access as you'd like, and what things snag more than you'd expect.
I agree one and a half million subscribers and they’re only getting a couple thousand people watching. They need to change something up the Collabs just ain’t doing it.
Once again depends on purpose. 120 rds total is fine for most scenarios. A full combat load of 210 or more gets heavy fast for people who don't carry it daily.
Also of note, generally as a civilian, even if shtf, you're generally not gonna be that far in the field, it's not very feasible. But it also depends where you live.
its worth to at least run soft armor on your sides for fragging and lower caliber rounds... its very little extra weight and is worth it.... its even cost effective as well.
Blood type identifiers inconus are pointless. Medics are going to give you universal until you get to the hospital where they will type your blood. Drug allergies are important, though.

Let’s be honest, most civilians aren’t in the physical shape to throw on a fully loaded carrier with level 4 plates. Something like a ferro slickster with level 3a+ soft plates and a 3 mag turnover would be better. Low profile and light weight.
You cam tell Kaya is definitely a tier one operator. Its very obvious he is on the 99th percentile of Navy Seal operators. He has skills that make him a weapon.
I still drop in to watch CF, but not the same without Clint. Looks like Delp got a second interview and I really like him, but not as much as CM. Good luck with the search for the new talent.
Personally, I think having a setup that allows for quick access to essential items, like medical supplies and ammunition, is crucial.
Hey guys love how yal didnt try to look down on my guy for not being former leo/military. Much respect!
Really enjoy the civilian setup, it’s much more practical than a carrier with an endless budget
Ammo. And water the most essential items
A first-aid kit is a good top two competitor
Depends on the person no one should tell another man that he doesn't need curtain equipment
Says the guy with a flashlight on his concealed carry pistol. Pff you’re never going to need it!
Siri strikes again? I’m certain I wouldn’t tell another man what curtain equipment he should have
Weapon lights and siri are overrated
@JD-bd5uu you leave my curtains alone!

Elliot is auditioning for the job. I've watched his channel.
Big guys, whether fit or not have always suggested sides plates in my experience when talking and asking questions about side armor.
At least 3A soft armor inserts the wait is minimal. I saw more people bleed out from shrapnel, hitting your flanks than bullets.

Can you do a segment on eye wear and ear pieces. Which are good or your personal preferences.
The best set up, is what the user prefers.
On the side armor debate, over half the people I saw hit in Iraq were hit in the side. I will never not wear side plates.
